https://www.twitch.tv/videos/1628378014 video is there because its easier to explain and show quickly than it is to type out. but the jist is i can't get games to launch on steam vanilla (even without vortex installed) im at such a loss. i know this isn't exactly the support for this kind of thing but i figured if anyone knows how to fix this issue they would be found here. im also going to try reddit but ive already been through forums, every "how to" page i can find on the issue...i just dont understand what im doing wrong.

what archives am i supposed to delete? ive already uninstalled SKSE and when you "unmanage" things from vortex it deletes all mods so im not sure what im supposed to purge exactly. (also thank you so much for even trying this problem is so beyond me)

So I'm not sure what's wrong but I'll do my best to describe what I did. Bought and downloaded skyrim anniversary from steam Used nexus/vortex to download a few mods which caused a disk write error when launching from steam Some how not able to verify integrity of game files Tried to install SKSE (script extender) Downloaded the wrong version(s) of it multiple times Received multiple error messages and wouldn't launch through vortex Deleted everything/unistalled on steam and "stopped" managing the game Still won't launch from steam and for whatever reason I am still unable to verify game files through steam It will launch through vortex, but it won't play. Crashes when I go to start a new game There were never any saved game files as I took to this process immediately after installing the game and I am completely lost on how to fix the issue and it's too non descript and too specific for a Google search. What do I do?
