  1. I kind of don't want Fallout to fall into the MMO pit of despair as i find mmo's the least immersive experience you can have, and i love me some immersion. Grinding is the least fun a man can have. I play fallout for the exciting and sometimes goofy world, it's dark humor and excessive gore, the well told stories and wonderful landscapes. I don't want that to be squandered by people bunny hopping/dancing in the background. I wouldn't mind it if i could be playing Fallout3/NV with 3 of my buddies in the same world, using voicechat, hell i'd pay good money for that.
  2. I don't know how i didn't spot those .nam's before, that'd be it. thankyou all.
  3. I guess i'll just drop the items and pretend i never happened upon them.
  4. Couriers stash is infact 4 .esm files, one for each pack. In mod manager i disabled them and yet when i play the game i get the gear (this is loading a save where i had not installed couriers stash). Surely unchecking a .esm means not loading that file, it sure has in the past! i put the wmx .esp files in my list so i can check and they must pick it up because the game doesn't crash. This is weird.
  5. I'd love to see the next one on the west coast with the major enemy being the commies, yes, the reds are back and they're ghoulified and they're coming from the ocean in junkyard ships and scrap metal machines, backstory being america is the only fertile(ish) land left and the survivors of asia are invading . Main quest focusing around uniting forces with supermutants, NCR etc... to repell the invaders as they spread onto the land and destroy their fleet. They could make excellent use of ship launched drop pods and a general feel of the movie "District 9" imo
  6. *nothing* feels better than a hunting rifle (iron sights) headshot. Personal fav is EVE laser rifle(unmodded), there is something unexplainably wicked about it. lever action shotgun would be up there if its model wasn't so very very tiny
  7. 64-bit windows7. I had this problem before and fixed it i just don't remember how... *EDIT: checked in FNVEdit, anything that does replacing (vurts plants, weapon textures) work fine but any added content (hand placed plants, eve weapon mesh) is what is getting invalidated. Not sure what kind of invalidation blocks me from interacting with objects though.
  8. The fact it crashes with no mods enabled seems to point at your (3) .ini file(s) or the xml. If it is from Steam i'd recommend verifying that integrity.
  9. I'd first try disabling the save on fast travel and save on rest and save on wait options and instead install CASM, it automates the saving process for you and avoids the save-crash some people have. That might be your problem, if it seems more precisely timed from a save then it might be the restocking vendors, something in the lists is the problem. I haven't used the New Vegas Error Corrections BugFixes so i don't know about that
  10. i'd be happy with being able to shoot the gas tanks on the old pickup trucks you see about, that was the first thing i did when exiting doc mitchells, it made me sadface
  11. My game has been running fine but i accidentaly deactivated the FOMM archive invalidation, i immediately re-enabled (because i remembered how bitchy it was to get working a while back). but the damage was done now my game is missing all kinds of textures and meshes and i cannot interact with anything or bring up the main menu (yet EVE effects still go off but all the textures for it are purple). I've been looking all day at archive invalidation issues and tried every possible fix i have come across and all combinations, i think, of SArchiveList order and fake .bsa file. e.g. i load my save and i'm i goodspring with a EVE laser rifle and everything looks perfect but if i try to activate a box it opens and shuts without letting me see what's in it. If i put my weapon away for a while and bring out (the EVE laser) it'll EITHER be missing (!) or missing the textures. Shooting people does the EVE effects but all the little particles are purple squares. Also blood, blood is now a purple square too. Interestingly weapon retextures stay fine and vurts plantlife is all good. It is not the mods i am using, i have tested them extensively. FOMM wants it to look like this: [Archive] SInvalidationFile= iRetainFilenameOffsetTable=1 iRetainFilenameStringTable=1 iRetainDirectoryStringTable=1 bCheckRuntimeCollisions=0 bInvalidateOlderFiles=1 bUseArchives=1 SArchiveList=Fallout - AI!.bsa, Fallout - Misc.bsa, Fallout - Voices1.bsa, Fallout - Sound.bsa, Fallout - Textures.bsa, Fallout - Textures2.bsa, Fallout - Meshes.bsa which by all means works for everyone else right? the only thing it hates is not having "SArchiveList=Fallout - " so i'm not sure it matters where the Fallout - AI!.bsa goes but it doesnt seem to matter... Help would be appreciated.
