  1. the CTRL F4 trick works for me, but each time i upload my file to the nexus, it doesnt work anymore. why is that? if i open my nexus file in the CK, then make CTRL F4 and upload it again, it works. Isnt there any way to avoid the grey face bug the 1st time i upload it?
  2. so without using the ESM method, even if I do the ctrl F4 as the last operation and then save my ESP file, each time i upload it to the nexus and try that file ingame the faces are grey. Isnt there no way to avoid those gray faces by uploading a mod to the nexus? I don't understand what youre saying Phearme. could you please tell me what to do step by step?

  4. Hi I am just trying to make Sinmir (you know the guy in the Bannered Mare in Whiterun who always complains about the town's security) as a potential follwer. Now i've added the potential follower faction AND the Current follower faction too, set this one to -1 - and i've also added a player relationship as Ally. Ingame, he can now follow you as a follower, BUT, you can't trade anything with him. The option is simply absent. Any idea why?

Thanks a lot for your suggestions I have tried to tick only those flags in my "sit" package: Ignore Combat No Combat Alert What it does ingame: when i attack people around the prisoner, he doesnt react nor flee, which is really great. However if I attack him, it "frees" him. Gasti i do not really understand your suggestion, sorry. There is no "observe combat behaviour" window, only a flag to be ticked. Any other suggestion to prevent the prisoner from fleeing when attacked?
  6. Hello all! I'm trying to make a prisoner "sit" (as its the package function's name) into his "chains" forever. My problem is as follows; when or if I attack any NPC near him (or him), the prisoner escapes! He just gets out of his sit marker. So is there a way to make him stay in his "sit marker" even if he's attacked??
  7. Hi I've already replaced the basic leather armor with another one and it works. Now i want to relpace the vanilla elven armor with another one. I know the trick: use BSA browser to browse the meshes, than locate the elven armor files' names, and replace my new armor's nif files with the vanilla name files. However this doesn't work - all the elven armor composants are all vanillas. The only file i cannot replace is the shield one because i have no shield NIF file. My question is thus: To replace a vnailla armor, do I need to replace EVERY vanilla nif files or else it won't work at all? Can't i just replace the boots and the bracers if i wanted to ? (which isnt the case)
  8. I mean come on. A viking game with wood elves too, but no throwing weapons? Javelins and throwing axes are a must!! Isnt there anyone working on such a mod??
  9. Sweet Jesus, i've found a workaround. I never thought of searching in the CK bethesda forums... here it is, i am too happy to avoid sharing it! So basically, yuo need to: 1-dupplicate the base object 2-edit your dupplication and remove "is distant LOD" 3-place that new object where you want to put it 4-open the object window and select "is full LOD" Tada!!
  10. Hi everyone, I am at an end. I've been modding with CK since it came out, but never found a solution for this really weird and annoying issue: I've added towers as objects in Tamriel (for example near Whiterun), but when I go and test it ingame, the towers simply do not appear. They're just absent. I've tried to tick the LOD in the object window, I've tried to copy paste existing towers from vanilla, nothing. Please, pleeeaase, any suggestions will be very very welcomed, please! I can't believe anyone has found a way to add towers with the CK.
  11. I'm sorry but there is not Papyrus section in my Skyrim.ini file. We are talking about the ini file in "my documents" right? I can't see such values anywhere. Where is it?
  12. I have the exact same issue - my sky and everything is way too white. My floatrendertarget is set to 1 as you told. Has there been another solution?
  13. Awesome, i had this problem and well, no longer have it! Here what made my skyrim playable again: i have now played several hours without Enhanced Blood textures, Sos Civ and HQ Map with an older savegame and have no problem! (probably one when i hadnt installed SoS Civ yet, that mod has been hidden o n the nexus for a reason...) hope it'll help you
  14. Hello everyone, I am (not so) glad to see other people have had the same annoying issues as me. My savefile was only a bit more than 6 Mb big (around 10 hours of gameplay) so i just erased the game and reinstalled it, because of the freezing then crashing problem. I have now reinstalled the game with a few mods (im going slowly to see if one causes particular problems). I started having freezing screens for 5 seconds each 2 or 3 minutes after installing several mods including SoS Civilization. It might also be my savefile since i had uninstalled Better Horses once and it never went well after that. I have been looking for a solution for days but after reading this hread i begin to understand that savegame problem, even though mine is relatively small in terms of hours to yours. I will try your "solution" speed toucher, and get back here to tell what i experience. Thank you all for your time. EDIT trying an older savefile without SoS Civ, HQ Map and Enhanced Blood Textures seems to work fine! I'll give more details in time. i have now played several hours without Enhanced Blood textures, Sos Civ and HQ Map with an older savegame and have no problem!
  15. Hello I have had this same ANNOYING issue. I tried the windows 98 compatibility + set affinity (cores) without success. I tried the ENB patch without success. http://enbdev.com/patch_tesskyrim_antifreeze_v0096.htm Now i see this and I just tried to remove both HQ map and Blood textures, and it didnt freeze (at least for 3 minutes of little playtime testing). I'll test some more and tell you if it really helped after more playtime. *EDIT : I've also tried to simply load an older savefile without SoS Civ, Hq Map and Enhanced Blood Textures and it runs well!!
  16. I was still having this issue, even in july... that made me stop playing for a while but i've found an ENB patch from B. Vorontsv that seems to solve the problem. Try it! http://enbdev.com/download_patch_skyrim.htm just click on the ANTI FREEZE patch to dld it and then extract it into your Skyrim folder (not the data one, the skyrim folder is the one with the TES.exe file)
  17. Hi, I did a terrible mistake once; my quest with the 2 alikr warriors in whiterun was bugged and the 2 guys got stuck in Whiterun (after the quest had been completed). While I was modding, i made a terrible thing indeed; i deleted them and placed them again where they were in vanilla in the CK. However, since i have done that, the 2 alikr warriors don't show up or when they do, they don't "start the quest", they're just standing in whiterun saying nothing (when starting a new game). So my question is simple: i would like to take those 2 alikr warriors from Vanilla (skyrim.esm) and put them in my mod (overwrite them over the one i had added). How can I do that? Can I export the 2 actors from Vanilla, and Import in my Mod.esp? I'm really stuck and have tried many ideas without success, and now when i play with my mod, the quest is simply always broken - it never starts... please need help! hopw you understand my problem!

  21. I got the same update today and cant play with the latest SKSE so you're not th eonly one. However, someone told he could go back to 1.5.26 - wont you be able to load your games? I tried that once, with a samvegame from 1.6.8, and couldnt load the game while playing the 1.5.26 version. Am i crazy? Another question: how can you know which mod uses SKSE?

  23. VICTORY!!! THAT WAS UTTERLY SIMPLE ; i just had to turn on "View Collision Geometry" and thus I could see where the collision attached to the object was "ending". Hence if i put a scaffold or something to walk upon just above the collision limit, i can walk just above the object!! Thank you so much, i would have found a way to "fix" this problematic issue!!!
  24. ok thanks for your advice, really. However i dont have that much time to spend into modding, considering the time i already invest into my mod. I will try to find a work around, sadly. Do you happen to know why Objects which have the "Has distant LODs" option ticked in their base cannot be seen from far away (when the player wanders in Tamriel)... and why objects which do not have this option ticked CAN be seen from far away? that's pretty weird. thanks again
