I had some trouble installing the mod with vortex, too. After trying different tips from the internet that led further but not to a functional installation, i decided to install this mod by hand. That way it works as desired: install xp32 maximum skeleton extended(xpmse) with vortex Download the mod files of dual sheath redux manually and unpack them OR simply take the unpacked files from the vortex installation Copy ALL unpacked files from the mod to C:\program files (x86)\steam\steamapps\common\skyrim\data\ OR where ever your skyrim\data\ resides - Make sure to overwrite the meshes, scripts and interface folders, then you are copying the right files to the right folder execute [...]skyrim\data\SkyProc Patchers\Dual Sheath Redux Patch\Dual Sheath Redux Patch.jar You might need to install and enable the mod with vortex too, in my case the game didn't start. But I did nothing else with it in vortex OPTIONAL: Update FNIS
