  1. I have NMM 0.63.14. If I would download the newer version, would my mods still be intact? I actually do have the newest version of NMM installed and it still gives me the log in error. I can't install anything.
  2. In response to post #24862529. #24864589, #24864824, #24866544, #24867284, #24867429, #24867469, #24868034, #24868259, #24868684, #24868979, #24871584 are all replies on the same post. Wouldn't your demands that modding be permanently free simply be greed from your side of the equation? It really just sounds greedy of you, from my perspective, that no matter how good a mod is you would refuse to pay for it under any circumstances.
  3. In response to post #24871504. #24871889, #24872029 are all replies on the same post. You seem pretty opinionated despite announcing yourself that you had much ignorance on the topic. First and foremost I think it is important that you know that Valve offered this site 5% of their profit if Nexus was listed by the modder as being an aid to them. It was 100% voluntary of of the modder and initiated by Valve, so blaming this site or Dark0ne makes no sense at all. Second, this site was founded on being a hub for modders to do what they like and to have it reach out to an audience. No one was forced to do it and they were even supplied with a program that makes it infinitely easier for people to mod their games. Attacking him as "not caring" about modders or taking advantage of them for not paying is pretty ludicrous. He is paying out the butt just to run this site. Have you even looked at the figures it takes to keep this thing going? Your initial idea was pretty good but it sounds better when you leave out every possible thing that he would have to take into consideration. How easily would the system be abused? (people would find a way to get fake endorsements in the first week, I guarantee it). What happens if the modders start making too much money and the site is losing money offering it to them? Everything here runs the way it was created for and the people that utilize the site have done so for a reason. It isn't a bad idea but you shouldn't over simplify it and then attack someone when you have questionable knowledge on the topic at best. That is especially distasteful when you are responding to a post that he is making about making changes to help modders make money.
  4. In response to post #24664514. Sorry, I forgot to mention the post itself. I am grateful for your dedication to this community and your efforts in making sure nothing goes under your nose or over your head. As far as I can see in this post I feel there is no fault that can be found in your actions or line of thought. Good luck in your continued vigilance and effort.
  5. I just want the corporate greed out of it. I don't see how it can be justified that someone who makes a great mod to a game that is essentially dropped by the developer, is obligated to give them nearly half of the profit from their work. Bethesda is getting extra money for literally no work. Valve is taking too big a cut for what they have given (just my opinion on that) and shouldn't be doing so. I would say at most 35% between Valve and Bethesda (including the nice run off Valve has extended) and I still think that is way too high. If I could set a personal minimum a modder should be entitled to for their work, it would be 75%, the numbers we are currently at are backwards.
