  1. Manual installs?! Ohnooooeeesss.. ah well, back to the days of FOMM and OBMM lol. Not like it's all that difficult to unzip, drag and drop, click yes to replace.
  2. First off, I'm not 100% on where this topic should be, so if it's in the wrong place, sorry. As in desc, I know this has been a problem before, and is usually related to a modded NPC, I know about the CK fixes, I know that some people have been able to fix it by reinstalling the NPCs and body/skin mods. Here's the problem: Updated CBBEv3 (when I say updated, I mean, I haven't bothered with anything but the main file since april.. added skin tex, face tex, the works, and most recent main) At first, it was just a few mod companions that were getting the gray face, I tried the setnpcweight quick-fix and it seemed fine for a while, aside from having to do it every time I loaded up my game. After a while I figured I'd try the CK thing, to no avail.. reinstalled mods, as per the advice of a few friends who directed me to other forums. But now ALL female NPCs are gray/dark faced. :| I've googled, I've searched forums, I've asked for help in chat, no one seems to have an answer yet. So, anyone at all, is there any fix to this aside from scrapping the entire game, and reinstalling everything (game included), starting over from scratch? Anything that doesn't involve CK? Because I'm obviously clueless with CK, or it's not working. Edit: Reason I'm not certain where this belongs, is because I don't know if it's related to a mod anymore. I've uninstalled mods, reinstalled, left mods uninstalled, no matter what I seem to do with mods it doesn't change anything, every single female NPC I've come across now has a darker face than body.
  3. Hey yeah, thanks for adding that edit.. Obvious sarcasm is obvious.
  4. Yep, was looking for the uniform and not just Ed's coat lolz.
  5. I'm a little caught up in mods of my own atm, and have come to find that I'm only remotely decent with buildings and the constructing of cities. (Courtesy of hundreds of hours playing simcity games and other games like it, probably) Anyway, I'm a little bored and have a game wherein I'm running around with a group of random CM mages, while playing yesterday evening I was also watching FMA and thought to myself "I want my mages to look more like state alchemists." and now I'm here. If there's a mod out there for the state uniform already, sorry, I spent about 20-30 mins looking for it and didn't find it, if not, anyone out there willing to take some time to make it? ;P Thanks in advance. (again even if no one gives me an aff)
  6. Hey hey it's me again. ;D Some friends and I have gotten together and agreed that if we're going to go after bigger mods we'll just have to learn to do it ourselves. First up, we've given ourselves a goal for a FF9 overhaul. xD We're all relatively new and learning so don't expect it next week. ;P And yes, this will be another of my trademark long-winded intros to a request. xD (jkjk) Right, jumping straight in, unlike my aforementioned friends that are learning bits and pieces and adding things here and there as they go, I want to finish off the "factions" of this thing, in smaller mods, and piece them all together later on. Now, before you go "oh but your thing says 10 and 2" I know what I said and I meant it. ;P I may not know a whole lot about scripting etc, but I know enough to know how to alter their responsibility and that sort, so once I have this first bit out of the way, I'll use it as a sort of foundation script for the others. So! I'm looking to start with "Tantalus" those wholesome rogues that kidnap the princess. ;P I have the old clocktower that serves as their base about half done atm, made on of my friends stop being lazy and start on that theatre ship. xD (I can't guarantee that it'll fly, so don't hold me to it. ;P) I basically just need 3-4 orphans that act the same as beggars, gathering info etc, some of the Tantalus guys running around, a Blank and a Marcus for CMs. Nothing out of the ordinary on these 2 CMs, other than a possible added option to pickpocket. (if it'd be too complicated then we'll leave it out, just want to see the companions get done and we'll worry about the little added details later.) That about sums it up, talk amongst yourselves, if you're willing to help out, sign up, if you want to be part of the overall project, sign up. xD If you help now but not in the project as a whole, you will still be given acknowledgement and thanks in the end product overhaul. Tyty. ;D
  7. I just want it to seem like it's in motion lol, the storm around it moving, anything. Since the film has a more modern theme, and Oblivion certainly doesn't I was thinking it would be made still in use, and thus not have the "protective" clouds around it, and you would be able to see the landscape below, but eh, if it must be ditched, then it must be ditched. If someone can find a solution and help piece together somewhat of a "to do list" as to how to go about finding what's needed, then by god I'll do my best to get it made with motions. xD If not, then eh, it was a good question and a good discussion nonetheless.
  8. http://i258.photobucket.com/albums/hh245/JoJoWolfTheWerewolf/laputa3.jpg Basically this, but a helluva lot smaller lol. Thinking roughly the size of IC (the castle in the middle and no town around it, just an island, town is inside the island itself) In the film (for those that haven't seen it) it's surrounded by a giant storm, if it isn't going to be easy to give it a moving background (was hoping for one, but eh, I'm married, used to compromise lol) then would it at least be possible to surround it in a giant constant cloud that doesn't interfere with vision once on the island itself?
  9. What if it were put in it's own world space then, would it be easier for it to have a "moving background" that "looks" like cyrodiil under it? (or possible? xD I ask a lot of "is this possible?" questions, as far as modding is concerned, I'm barely capable of adding plates to pre-made tables lol)
  10. I was thinking about putting in a request for an Oblivion version of Laputa, the castle in the sky, based on the animated film. But first I wanted to check on a few things, and get the general opinion of others. So, is it possible, to set it on a recurring path where it hovers over one city for a short time, and then slowly makes it's way to another, to hover again? Is it also possible to cover it in a constant fog around the outer perimeter of the island itself? And lastly, is it possible to give a destination, in the general worldspace, no point of origin on the map? (that I'm curious about mainly because I think if it IS possible for it to wander, the map would give conflicting information and it might cause problems.)
  11. Also having trouble with Ren's atm, which is odd, it was working just fine last week, but now that I've reinstalled, it doesn't seem to want to cooperate. All hairs, eyes, etc, show up on the base races, but nothing on any custom race.
  12. Last bump, with only 3 other people posting a reply and 1 other willing to help on the project, I think it may just end up on the back pages and I'll end up spending a few months trying to learn how to mod so I can do it myself. xD Ah well, nothing ventured nothing gained.
  13. Yet another bump, really? Only 3 people that think it might be a good idea? xD
  14. That's what I was thinking, a lot of it could also be used from Akaviri Kojima, the clothing, weapon, and armor mods, etc. I personally just haven't the slightest idea as to how to go about it. I'm just guessing here but I think the bulk of the work would be setting up the town itself, and the chain of quests. Anyone at all that's willing to help I'd appreciate it, I think it could be a pretty good addition to the game.
  15. There's gotta be someone out there willing to do scripting and modeling, and help the lazy guy with some of the textures etc xD pretty please? ;P
  16. XD thanks for the posts at least. And I know exactly what you mean with the 13 year olds. ;P I was kinda leaning more towards the insane b-rate kung fu movies of old, style of japan/china. xD But eh. ;P
  17. Getting a decent number of views but no posted comments. ;P 2 birds, 1 stone, a senseless self promoting bump, and a request for people to comment either approval or disapproval, things you might change, add, remove. Anything at this point, I'm just getting that sinking feeling that as a new guy, the idea will be ignored. xD
  18. Ok, so I was asked earlier via email to go into more detail with my post and I have to admit (I was rushed) it was a little vague. What I'm picturing isn't just a cluster of 6 huts and a single floor shanty with a few tables in it as a teahouse, some 10x10 ft shack in the back to serve as a shrine. I'm not entirely familiar with the regulations here and if I get into "no bueno" territory, let me know. Basically what inspired me is an old PS2 game, "Way of the Samurai 2" where the central focus of the town there is a large teahouse/bath house/inn, surrounded by a hodge podge of homes and shops, several average sized outlying estates and a decent sized temple which had a shrine up a hill in the back with an amazing view over the whole town. xD I was thinking along the lines of: 1 teahouse/inn (2-3 floors, open in the middle on the 2nd and 3rd if there is one). Roughly 5 shops for various things from other akaviri mods, the shops themselves are covered but open in the front, stairs on the side which lead up to the shopkeep's room above. 8-10 homes mixed in with the shops, all of which closely clustered around the teahouse. 2-3 outlying estates, 1 of which possible for player purchase. (other 2 occupied by rival families, possible chain of quests to bring order to the sleepy akav town) Along the side of a hill a row of shinto archs leading up to the entry into the side of the hill itself, where a handful of monks reside in a temple roughly the size of lets say, the cloud ruler temple without the wing with the armory, basically just the inside of CRT from the main hall, left. All-in-all roughly 20 NPCs to go about their daily schedule around town. Hope that helps a little more with the vision. ;P If it can't or won't be done, say sooooo Dx
  19. First off, I'd like to thank the dedicated modders at tesnexus for their work, I honestly don't think Oblivion (and other Bethesda games, though highly replayable) would have the replay value that they do, without all of the modders contributing all of the additional content that they have. I've been playing a lot of FO3 lately, and got into another (4th) "Bethesda kick" so here I am, yet again, installing everything I can find lying around the house with the ol' Bethesda name slapped on it. But I'm vastly off topic atm xD so on to my request. I've read through the "do a search first, there might be the same request" threads millions of times for millions of games, I recognize their importance. But this is, a little off the wall. xD Stay with me here for a sec. ;P Have you gotten the mod to play as an Akaviri character? Do you really like the Blades and all those nifty asian style buildings in other mods? For those of you that say yes, ever find yourself feeling like you don't really fit in anywhere, because there aren't really any akaviri villages around? Now I know, I know, there'll be people that point to Akaviri Kojima and Akaviri Fuyohin, and they're along the right path. But what I'm really looking for are those old chinese/japanese villages up in the mountains, big old temple built into the cliff face, tea house/bath house taking up a solid 3rd of the village with it's jaw dropping scale, and the neat little homes all tucked closely together around it. Again, I know, I know, it sounds like a lot of work xD chances are it is a lot of work, and entirely understandable if no one steps up to the task. But like my title says, I've got a craving that just won't quit ;P Downloaded every major akaviri style housing/clothing/weapon/armor mod that I could find in the past 4 days and to be perfectly frank (without being rude) it just hasn't quelled the craving beast within that wants nothing more than to sit in a teahouse quietly one minute, and then tear things up in an epic ronin duel the next. xD All-in-all, if you're a modder and even read this and took it to consideration, thank you for your time, even if you don't follow through ^__^ If you DO decide you might want to try to make it work, I'd be more than happy to help test it and work with the modders towards the final product. Questions, Comments, Ideas, or just anything you'd like to add, please email me at: [email protected] and again, thank you! ;D
  20. I can say, in all confidence, that I have no idea what you're talking about. lol
  21. Alright, completely new to the whole mods thing, so be patient. xD I've got GotY, all the DLCs, downloaded the following; Black Luster, Tyrael, Lost Paladins, Dwemer Skyship, Bravil Sea Domes, and Castle Almgard. For the most part they work just fine, except that like, 10% of everything (mod-wise) is missing, I know that things are missing, because where stuff should be, are giant yellow boxes with exclamations in them. xD Can't do much of anything with Almgard, cuz what would be the door is a big yellow square that seems to want to yell at me or something, same thing with skyship, can't go in the cave cuz the door is a yellow box, etc.
