  1. With current GPU prices i think prebuild PCs are better but wether its worth it or not depends on how much you can spare. I for example wont spend anything at the moment because whenever i build something i do so with the goal for it to last for another decade. My current one although its an Office desktop can support a visually modded SkyrimSE but would bottleneck with Fallout 4 or the Witcher 3. Whenever i invest i try to make it worthwhile. My brother caught a 1660 around 500EUR last months before it jumped to 600-700+ and feels happy about it so thats a 6GB GPU which is fine. But i don't know CPU prices by Intel are ridiculously cheap at the moment even for 10th Gen so i wouldn't waste the opportunity. GPU prices don't make much sense at the moment and there is alot of scalpers plus Product part quality dropped alot but then again i wouldn't invest on something that doesn't last long. So for now i just wait it out to rebuild a Modern (Latest Hardware PC) which is going to cost a bit but ''Buy once cry once''
  2. Yeah you definitely need a PC. Seriously anything will work Morrowind is so old i remember when i was running it modded with 500mb gpu. Although i used to do that with Skyrim LE as well. You can get any Potato PC around 100 USD and propably even prebuilt Medium End PC for 400 to 700 max with a 4GB gpu. But the Mac Mini wont help you much really.
  3. I'll give you my perspective. The Long Story (In Spoilers) and the Short Story plus some Spoilers. I will also agree with the above that it's mostly Lonely men but i know a few people that play Games that way that are not. There is even pairs that like to ''Simulate stuff'' in Games like Conan Exiles and such. There is a big number of very young people as well. Anyway. That's just me. The Short Story: Porn. Something similar happens with Skyrim modding.
  4. What Beth invested in development: They did once Skyrim came out. (Big Project/ Team/ Investment) Huge income. They did with the DLCs. (Big Project/ Team/ Investment) Huge income. They did with Legendary Edition Pack. (Big Project/ Team/ Investment) Huge income. They did with Special Edition Pack. (Big Project/ Team/ Investment) Huge income. They did by releasing VR and XBOX. (Big Project/ Team/ Investment) Huge income. They did another time by releasing Creation Club. (Big Project/ Team/ Investment) Less income and failed attempt to force Creation Club. They did now by recompiling Visual Studio. (Big Project/ Team/ Investment) Less income but forced Integration of Creation Club. In between there have been Hotfixes. (Small Projects/ a few devs only/ not much investement) Doesn't affect income. Conclusions: They invested when there was a chance to increase income by doing certain Big Dev Team Projects. They failed with Payed Mod content at first but managed to pull it off now with AE version. They managed to make all this a thing for their future Games. They don't care about Minor Bugs and Glitches that are only fixed by the Unofficial Patch Project. They don't care about reworking forced Quests etc. like they were in former Game titles. They wouldn't spend Personel and Money for this since it doesn't bring more income. Full time Development and Updates including more Content or reworks happen only in MMOs (BDOR for example) because these titles do generate alot of income Daily and thus Active Maintenance and Incentives for Premium or Non-Premium users are Economically Relevant for a Development Company. Is the End-User satisified with Beth's Actions and Skyrim? Not if it changes the Users Product working Status. So there is only thisproblem that needs to change: 1. Steam should maintain the option to completely disable Auto-Update (Like it was Years ago) and not require Running in Offline Mode to function because alot of weird things can happen to the End User. 2. Product should require an Online Registration (Live) during Purchase and Installation (Once) making the final Registered Product Stable for the user as soon as the One Time Registration has been Finalized. 3. Automatically this would conclude the End-User and Company License/ Agreement that as soon as the Product Registration has been Finalized for the End User its now his Private Property as his Disk Drive and therefore the only future Legal communication between the Product and Steam or Bethesda would require the End Users Request which equals to Login Online and Recieving whatever Data the user Requests that Bethesda offers for Free or via Payment (Depends) in which case there could be an extra Confirmation (Live Registration) of the Downloaded Data with the End users Unique Product License. Nothing more nothing less. Everything else is just an attempt to Monetize Single Player Games with active subscription and holding the End Users Private Property Hostage which is a Microsoft Idea to begin with because Microsoft is out of Control and Bethesda has to follow their Investors wish otherwise they will cancel their Investments.
  5. Pretty much anything that needs DAR and SKSE Plugins that enable some of the most important Combat mechanics for those who play with an enhancement of Skyrims combat and Animation system including some UI and Hotkey system modifications. Also DLL Plugin Loaders etc these are critical for some Engine related fixes.
  6. Why acting like you are personally attacked everytime anyone mentions anything about SKSE being broken or a mod not working because of Anniversary update? I don't get it why does it offend you so much. Are you a Bethesda employe laughs Can't you not accept that Updates should be not forced and automated? Its that simple to understand. Does the Anniversary Edition Update come with a Showler AI that is programmed to defend itself with access to forums? Did microsoft programm it like Cortana for windows 10?
  7. Greetings but i don't get it. A Mod creator posts a mod. He can choose to actively support it or not. His choice. If he chooses to abandon and not support it only one thing makes sense. Free Asset use/ conversion permission so the mod doesn't become like Imhotep in the lost City of Hamunaptra. No one can convince me otherwise. There is no counter argument. Also too frequently people i see ask questions in a mod page wether mod author has active support and troubleshooting is his choice. People ask questions maybe they will get answers maybe not. Peole ask troubleshooting questions or Mod guide questions maybe they will get answers or maybe not. So if you were born with a CK Instruction Manual implanted you are lucky and all the rest of us are not. Usually we have to go Discord to even have a propper discussion and i wonder why. Is this here not the Mod Hosting Site with Posts Bug Section and Forums? Then why should i be forced to an external Site (Discord) to have access to the discussion? What has an External Social Media Site to do with a Mod hosted here? Host it on Discord then or any External Site with its own method of Discussion and Communication. But this is the Site we use this is the Site where the Mod is hosted so no Discord. It just doesn't make sense and i refuse to accept things that don't make sense. What happened to propper Troubleshooting and Development? There is nothing. You can't find any information any more. I am in AFK Mods and i took a look into Unofficial Patch Project Maintenance Support Troubleshooting and Development section. That's how its done! Otherwise Skyrim modding will slowly become abandoned and die. Its nothing like in 2011-2012. Big difference.
