  1. The download is not there. There is only INFORMATION about the download. I'm looking for it as well, so if anyone finds it please let us know.
  2. I can't find SOS anywhere now. Does anyone know what happened to it????
  3. My brain is numb after reading over all of this...seriously...I am 55, had a stroke a couple of months ago, and all I want to do is play a game. With just a few mods. I had everything all nice and put together with NMM and now they do this??? I don't like the format, I don't like the design, and I don't like the fact that Vortex doesn't recognize ANY of my mods. Even after I put their direct pathway in the program! UGH! Until I can get my head around this...this workaround...I don't know. I got that you need to check and double check mods, because even though the authors may check them, there's always new stuff coming out, and new problems may happen. But what about Wrye Bash? I don't understand why I need that. It's yet another mod organizer. And the Nexus wants us to use Vortex...so why use WB when I may eventually get Vortex to work...? God, how confusing. I'm just using the unupdated version of Nexus Mod Manager until I guess I can't play my games anymore. Which sucks.
  4. There was a similar discussion that I saw here from June of 2017, but nothing was officially resolved, so I'm starting this again. Recently I've been having issues with my game's start time. I have not installed Vortex yet...still running on NMM. I have minimal mods. Yet when I start FO4 through F4SE, most of the time I don't even get the startup screen (where you click to start the game) and I get a black screen with a spinning wheel. If I'm patient enough and wait, the game eventually starts, but it takes a minimum of five minutes and I've waited as long as half-hour without it even starting. Here are my mods and their load order, if this helps: 0 0 Fallout4.esm 1 1 DLCRobot.esm 2 2 DLCworkshop01.esm 3 3 DLCCoast.esm 4 4 DLCworkshop02.esm 5 5 DLCworkshop03.esm 6 6 DLCNukaWorld.esm254 FE 0 ccawnfo4001-brandedattire.esl254 FE 1 ccswkfo4002-pipnuka.esl254 FE 2 ccswkfo4003-pipquan.esl 7 7 Unofficial Fallout 4 Patch.esp 8 8 SimSettlements.esm 9 9 EasyHacking.esp 10 a EasyLockpicking.esp 11 b Lasers Have No Recoil.esp 12 c More Where That Came From Diamond City.esp 13 d AES_Renovated Furniture.esp 14 e RichMerchants.esp 15 f Skip DIMA memories.esp 16 10 The Eyes Of Beauty.esp 17 11 CBBE.esp 18 12 OWR_CraftableDecor.esp 19 13 OWR_CraftableDecor_CW.esp 20 14 KSHairdos_oel.esp 21 15 OutcastsAndRemnants.esp 22 16 KSHairdos.esp 23 17 VisibleCompanionAffinity.esp 24 18 AA FusionCityRising.esp 25 19 AmazingFollowerTweaks.esp 26 1a ProjectValkyrie.esp 27 1b OWR.esp 28 1c LooksMenu.esp 29 1d Keep Radiants In Commonwealth.esp 30 1e Scrap Everything - Core.esp 31 1f Scrap Everything - Far Harbor.esp I would really like to play my game again. Yes, I've backed up my game save files; they are on an external hard drive, so they're not taking up space on my computer. I'm running Windows 10 Home, 64-bitProcessor: Intel Core i7-6700HQ CPU @ 2.60GHzInstalled RAM: 16GBASUS ROG G752VT-DH7216GB RAM, custom installed 250GB SSD, 1TB HDDChipset: Mobile Intel CM236 ExpressNVIDIA GeForce GTX 970M 3GB Video I have a few games, and a 250gb SSD isn't holding all of them...I installed the main files for my games in the D drive (the HDD) and the game saves go on the SSD. Any suggestions on how to speed up my game when it is opening? I'm really tired of trying all day to play this game but ending up waiting three or four days before the thing actually opens. OH - and another weird thing I noticed....when the bombs go off, and I'm going down the shaft to the vault...the "base" of the vault elevator (the thing that you're supposed to stand on) is TOTALLY INVISIBLE. I'm also having issues with customizing my character. The character customization screen always freezes when I'm trying to create a new character...right about the time I'm choosing the hair, after I've put in about 20 minutes worth of customizing the face, eyes, etc! Very frustrating! Any help would REALLY, really be appreciated. FO4 is my thing. Cheryl
  5. Thanks, willyb! I found the files you mentioned in steam/steamapps/common/fallout4/data (just for future reference if anyone else finds they need to uninstall). As if by magic, LOOT downloaded in less than a minute this morning, and installed in less than a minute as well (I uninstalled it last night). I have no explanation why it worked this morning and not last night. Probably a connectivity issue, as you mentioned, Resident poster. I've put my mods in order, all 8 of them ha ha, and hopefully it will work now. Thanks guys!
  6. I've looked, and there are no specific uninstall directions for the unofficial patch. By LOOT not working, I meant that it is refusing to open. At all. I tried in FO4 first, then thought I would try to play some Skyrim. I already have my mods in order there, so I didn't really need to run LOOT, but I tried, and it also would not open in Skyrim, so it may be a problem with LOOT itself. I noticed that there was an update/new version 12 February 2018. Perhaps there are bugs? Further being stupid, I deleted LOOT and tried to download it again. Guess what? I'm having problems with THAT. On the LOOT website at Github, the installer is going to take all night to download. That's ridiculous, right, it's only 35MB? So I downloaded it here on Nexus. It took a long time to download, but it finally did...and Windows says that the file won't run on my computer. GRRR! It ran before, why not now? Major confusion going on in my part of the world. I''m going to let the installer download overnight and hopefully tomorrow morning it will work, but I have a feeling that my computer willl once again tell me that the file is not runnable on my computer. Very irritated at LOOT right now. Plus the other file in FO4. I sure would like to play that game!
  7. Hello. I am very inexperienced with gaming; I only have had 1 game prior to downloading FO4. I stupidly installed the Unofficial Patch before I read the entire page. I do NOT have all of the DLCs mentioned, so I need to delete the patch. How do I do that? Currently, I am afraid to play the game, because LOOT won't load so I can put my eight mods in order, and when I look at NMM in the Plugins section, "unofficial fallout 4 patch.esp" is in red. So... How do I get rid of the patch? What is wrong with LOOT? (worked just fine yesterday on Skyrim) Why is the .esp patch file red and not black? As I said, I am not very experienced with gaming, so if you know what I need to do, please explain in detail, and simply. I have followed all other instructions on the other mods. Thank you in advance, klingongal

  9. Quite interesting...sorry I wasn't there to ask lots of pointless and/or embarrassing questions. Thanks for taking the time to have this AMA and I do look forward to more in the future!
  10. I've got the square or square-ish area of water at the gate and just beyond into Whiterun. Again. Last time was I believe well over a year ago and I don't remember how it was solved then. I tried to install SKSE, but I don't think things are installed like they are supposed to be - although Skyrim and all the mods I have (all for JK's Skyrim) work (JK's Skyrim caused a problem where I wasn't able to enter Windhelm and the computer would CTD. At any rate, the mods, what little there are, don't use SKSE so I hope that doesn't cause a problem. I have LOOT installed and it;s working, everything is in order. I've tried to download and followed installation videos for TES5EDIT, but my computer is not recognizing this as a app that is compatible with my computer (I'm running Windows 10 on an ASUS ROG with an NVIDIA GEFORCE GTX 970M and an Intel i7 processor). I tried to run TES5EDIT as admin so I could clean edits, but it still didn't want to run. I disabled all my mods, opened Skyrim, and the water square is still there. So...it doesn't seem to be mod-related. I'm wondering now what it's related to, and how to get rid of it? Otherwise, the game plays fine. With or without mods, the water is there and the game plays fine.
  11. Yes. I tried running as administrator with no changes. It still won't work. I am totally kerfluffled.
  12. Anyone ever heard of this? I downloaded the latest version of Tes5Edit, and tried to put it in the appropriate place.... This PC > OS (C:) > Program File (x86) > Steam > SteamApps > common unzipped and put in file folder Tes5Edit3_1_3 Made shortcut to desktop Clicked on shortcut Get a message: This app can't run on your PC. ????????? Windows 10....I don't get it, it ran on my old computer with 10, why won't it run on my laptop with 10? Any clues or suggestions?
  13. Answering my own question: apparantly JK's Skyrim was causing the problem. Just too many navmeshes or whatever - too much stuff to process when I landed in Windhelm. I have almost every mod going except JK's Skyrim and it's not crashing. Guess I shall have to get used to the drab cities again, or install each town individually and NOT install Windhelm.
  14. I've never had this problem before, and I use VERY LITTLE MODS. I'm extremely conservative when it comes to mod use because I don't want anything clashing. So...I wanted to get some nice hair. I spent an entire day, studying how to install SKSE. (I am not particularly computer savvy). I installed it correctly, I do believe, according to about four thousand videos I watched here, on Steam and on Youtube. Next: I decided NOT to install anything that required SKSI, but instead left it there JUST INCASE. However, I did install a stand alone mod with a few hairstyles that did not rely on SKSE. Worked just fine. I also installed that romance mod with Bishop in it (HEY. I'm an old married lady and that's all I'm gonna say about that!) Still...working fine. At some time along the way, I also had my other stuff still installed....oh, let's see....a few DLC-type mods, like "Cutting Room Floor", "Helgen Reborn", "Moonpath to Elsweyr", "The Forgotten City", "Falskaar"....all worked fine....oh, yes, at some time I started finding it difficult to enter Windhelm. Like...I would fast travel there, and the game would CTD. I would go to the stables and try to enter the city, and half the time I could get in and half I couldn''t (again, CTD). Sometimes I would restart and when I restarted the game I wouldn't be back at where I was when the computer crashed - I would be inside Windhelm. So, I thought it must be some kind of problem with the mods. So I deactivated a bunch of newer mods. This is what I'm running now: Skyrim.esm Update.esm Dawnguard.esm HearthFires.esm Dragonborn.esm Unofficial Skyrim Legendary Patch Falskaar.esm explore tamriel.esp JKs Skyrim.esp Birdsofskyrim.esp Bishop.esp Inigo.esp This is looking at NMM (I don't see the Romance mod listed but I'm running it) I'm still having problems getting into Windhelm even after starting a totally new game. Any suggestions?
  15. Bought it right off the Steam website. Before that, we did try a full reinstall of the game and that didn't work. And yes, I've checked the integrity of the files. 1 was missing and was reacquired (just like it was in my new laptop, and the laptop is working fine, except for CTD about every hour)
