  1. @ModdJunkie1999 when I was having this problem, it was an issue of an unresolved FormID. Normally you'd have to find the mod with the error and just install it. However, making sure my mods were updated, and creating a new bashed patch in Wrye Bash (an absolutely essential tool to learn) fixed it for me.

  3. Okay bizzare. Right after I posted this, I loaded my game and was instantly attacked by raiders. So they wont attack me when I approach them, but if I save and then load in their presence, I get attacked. Does that clue help anyone?
  4. Super mutants attack me. Raiders just stand there and shout taunts. I'd much prefer the sticks and stones. Posting my load order. Help???   5. Just a note for anyone else having this problem, I updated Dance of Death, UFO, and Arrow Tweaks, rebuilt my bashed patch, and everything seems to be working now. Make sure you are using the latest version of Wyre Bash.

  7. @Blove Hey thanks for that, that gave me a direction to start working in. I started disabling my compatibility patches one by one, to no avail. I finally got the situation resolved by disabling FWE completely. No idea why this is the problem, as FWE was working fine during my test runs last week, and nothing significant should have changed. However, FWE is not a must for me, I'll just replace the parts I liked with specific mod modules. As a bonus, my previous problem with Raider meshes seems to have fixed! So thats a twofer! Thanks for your help guys!

  10. Hi guys, its me again. I recently posted about an issue with some missing Raider meshes that I THINK I may have resolved, but now I have an entirely new problem. Now when I load up FO3, the regular intro slides begin their crawl, and eventually I am brought back to the slide of the power armor helmet, which is where we normally see options like Continue, New Game, Load Game, Options, etc. But the menu never arrives! I keep FRAPS running, and typically I see 20fps during the opening crawl and then it will jump up to 60 or so once everything is loaded and the menu pops up. But now I am sticking at a constant 20 and never get a menu. I dont THINK it is freezing because my music keeps playing, but I end up having to close FO3 via task manager to get out of it. Bizarre right? Any ideas?
  11. Unfortunately, I am still unable to resolve this issue. BlackRampage, I am glad you informed me that the mark means missing mesh and not missing texture, that gave me a good place to start. However, I am still unable to fix this issue. I have upperbody.nif in the right folder, the problem is just not resolved. Since I am now unable to play FO3 due to a strange issue where the game is constantly freezing, I've decided to move on to New Vegas for a while to alleviate some frustration. Perhaps I will come back to this another time and try to resolve it.
  12. Hi, thanks for the responses. Just to clarify, I have used Archive Invalidation using NMM, FOMM, AND the ArchiveInvalidated program tool. Nothing seems to be fixing that issue. I do also use FOSE. I have tried removing all raider textures from my textures folder on the hope that the game would default back to the textures packed in the BSA but no luck there. I know that FWE and MMM both use custom raider textures, as well as Breeze's fomod, but I can't seem to find a way to make them all work together. Or maybe the problem is not related to these, maybe there is something else, I am not sure. What are the textures inside the characters/raider folder supposed to look like, filename wise? Maybe that is my issue?
  13. Okay. Fallout 3. I am getting the red exclamation marks. I can never remember if this means missing mesh or missing texture. It seems to only be appearing on raiders and homeless (guys sitting outside megaton and the raft asking for water.) I am using Breezes male mod (or trying to anyways). I am using a variety of mods that might affect this, including FWE and MMM. I did get the compatibility patches and I even gave myself a crash course in FO3edit so I could teach myself how to build a merged patch. I have tried every fix I can think of, from manually adjusting the meshes and textures without the aid of a mod manager, to download multiple managers to reinstall the mod. (I typically prefer NMM, but downloaded FOMM because it seems to have better compatibility with FOMODS). I could really use a hand here. One or two of these missing meshes/textures I can ignore, but its too common here to ignore. Every raider is messed up. Can anyone help me with this? ---edit--- I forgot to mention, this missing mesh or texture seems to be directly related to the male skins. I know that seems assumed in the original post but I wanted to clarify ---edit---
  14. I am also having a similar problem. When I get to Mzulft for the Winterhold quest, I get an immediate CTD whenever I try to open my magic menu. Its definitely not the food-related glitch I've read about since I have not been eating any food with this character. I am using a lot of mods, but I'm pretty decent at resolving conflicts like this. But after a lot of testing, I've come up with nothing. I cannot figure out why I keep getting this very specific CTD. I hope someone smarter than me can figure this out, because not being able to access the magic menu is going to be very game breaking for the character I'm playing. HELP!
  15. Hi, I am having a slight issue with a mod that I am hoping to get some help with. I have done a fair amount of research and am having trouble locating an answer. I am not new to installing mods, but very new to creating them. I am following the NCCS companion creation guide as closely as I can, just so I can learn the basics. Creating companions and getting them into the world is something I feel fairly comfortable with. My end goal here was to create a female companion that used theSkinny-6 body type and a hairstyle from Beauty Pack Plus, specifically the "Aerith" hairstyle. Following the instructions was simple enough. The beauty pack hairs were in a bsa archive, but I figured out how to extract the files I needed and how to store them in the respective meshes and textures folders for easy reference for my character. I also followed the instructions to create a custom race for my companion. However, when I tried to add the hairstyle, I ended up with a problem. The GECK only gives me an option to reference one mesh and one texture for hairstyle, but the Aerith hairstyle I want has several texture files. And when I try to just pick one texture to use, I either end up with this: Edit: Image link removed, see attachments Or this: Edit: Image link removed, see attachments I ended up losing my patience with it yesterday and walked away. But I hate to give up on something. I'm usually really good at figuring this stuff out. I'm hoping that somewhere here has had a similar issue that can offer some advice.   17. The original mod definitely was calling out to the comic book roots, not the mythology, hence the precense of the other three hammers from the comics. I wasn't thinking anything fancy. As cool as it would be to have a melee weapon that you could also throw, that sounds like it'd be a proper pain in the ass to make. If I had the abilties to do it, I'd probably make it just a melee weapon. Not even necessarily an uber-powerful cheat weapon. Alternately, it would be pretty cool to make it a god item that when thrown created a powerful explosion. All just thoughts though. Beggers cant be choosers, and I'm not insisting that anyone take up this project. Just a thought, a suggestion. **Edit** I did attempt to contact the original creator of that mod, but the mod was submitted several years ago and no contact information is available on the author. Last thing I'd want to do is steal from someone's hard work. This being based on the comic book property however, I don't see anything wrong with someone recreating these weapons for a different game.
  18. I had posted in the mod troubleshooting forum about converting this mod: http://planetelderscrolls.gamespy.com/View.php?view=OblivionMods.Detail&id=4211 from oblivion to New Vegas. I got some very helpful answers on how this could be done. Then I attempted it, and found myself way way way over my head. As much as I love playing New Vegas with mods installed, every time I try to make one I end up with disaster, usually involving having to re-download NV from steam and reinstall completely because I end up messing up something vital. So now I'm going to do something I've never done before and ask the community if there is anyone interested in doing this for me. The link above takes you to a different mod site (sorry, never could find it on Nexus). It is a mod called Hammers of Thor. It includes the original Mjolnir, Ultimate Mjolnir, Stormbreaker, and Thunderstrike. I would LOVE to be able to use these weapons in NV. If anyone is interested and is skilled in creating weapon mods, I imagine many people would be interested in using this mod, myself included. I dont wander into the forums very often, so I hope I'm not breaking any kind of protocol by requesting this. I'll keep an eye on this thread from time to time to see if anyone decides to take a crack at this. Thanks for reading! ~Michael

  20. I am no stranger to installing mods, but I've never been very good at creating or editing them. I've tried using the Geck and have been only mildly successful in understanding it. So I ask for assistance and/or instructions. I have a mod in my possesion that I used to use for Oblivion. The meshes, textures, and .esp are all there. But I would love to know how to edit the esp file in such a way as to put these files into New Vegas. It is not my intent to *steal* this from the author of the original mod. I'd just love to be able to use these weapons in New Vegas. If someone could give me instructions on how to do this, or if it is too complicated, if someone could edit the esp file itself, I would be greatly appreciative. ~Michael
