Nexus Mods Profile

  1. The mod authors got caught in the crossfire. Time heals wounds, but in the meantime we need to figure out a better way to treat modders. Without them, there would be no Nexus. Need to establish a rapport, and a code of respect and appreciation for them.
  2. I play almost exclusively as a melee character, but I've always wanted a javelin mod to take down archers, mages, or to hunt food. Especially though if they have pesky melee friends blocking the way. Ideally, I would like to 1 or 2 shot them (with a good shot) before getting overwhelmed. I have some suggestions that could hopefully give you ideas. 1.) Increase the weight. Perhaps at least 10 units? Hopefully you won't have to debuff the javelins too much if you can't carry so many to begin with. 2.) Increase the difficult of use Maybe make the equipping/throwing animation a little longer so one can't spam throw javelins. Javelins historically have a short range so if this mod includes that, it further adds the difficulty and if moreso with a moderate length animation. High risk/High reward Good hunting!
  3. Is there a mod that exists that lets you use war axes to chop wood? Not necessarily every war axe, but maybe a few?
  4. I might have an idea.. http://uesp.net/wiki/Skyrim:Followers Maybe turning into a werewolf is considered a "crime" thus they turn hostile. You could try altering their morality with commands to see if that works.
  5. I heard a rumor that Skyrim and ENB mods cannot effectively make use of SLI/Crossfire, is there any truth to this? Would it be better to have 2 cards in SLI or to have 1 mega card?
  6. I am on PC, is there a command or something that allows me to change the name of "my horse" and "stray dog" to whatever I wish? Thanks
  7. But everyone likes Balgruuf, he should be high king. Just sayin'. Jarl Ballin.
  8. I was thinking, what would happen to Tamriel regardless of how the civil war goes? When the moot meets to decide a new high king, the dragonborn recommends Balgruuf and in the surprise of everyone, Balgruuf is made high king. Ulfric disappears... Balgruuf creates a treaty with the empire favorable to Skyrim. Maybe it could be similar to how Hammerfell was integrated into the Empire. Skyrim would be apart of the empire, but more like an ally to the empire, thus is excluded from the white-gold concordat. With Skyrim unified, peace and prosperity blooms under Balgruuf's wise and careful leadership. The stormcloak army and former Ulfric supporters, having satisfied with the new treaty, endorses Balgruuf. Skyrim is strong with the militarization that the war brought to the region. The Aldmeri Dominion doesn't want another stalemate like Hammerfell and it saw what damage the Dragonborn and stormcloaks did to Thalmor operations in Skyrim, and are now too timid to attack Skyrim. Many former Stormcloak soldiers go to Hammerfell on "unofficial" business to further help against the resistance against the Aldmeri Dominion. Happy ending maybe?
  9. I had an idea that I think would be awesome. Basically someone that is well known with TES lore creates a merchant to sell the lost artifacts from past eras. These artifacts are unique and rare, ideally with new textures and stuff. However, the catch is that they are ridiculously expensive, like 5 to 6 figure gold amounts. It would be fun to actually spend the tons of gold I collected. The mod can constantly be updated and maybe each weapon has a backstory with a new voice dialogue. This merchant can be a dubious character and whatnot... he may sell a few fake artifacts that don't exist in TES lore thus forcing the buyer to read on the enjoyable lore that TES is. He may also only sell only one day a week and be hard to find, thus it's a quest.
  10. I was wonder if there was a mod that allows you to do this, as NPCs do this to you. Maybe you can use it like a power. It may seem silly and unnecessary but I think it would be really cool and immersive.
  11. Hello everyone, I've decided to play Oblivion again. I played it on Xbox originally several years ago, but now I have it on PC including every DLC. I need some Mod suggestions I have 2 categories....Realism and Immersion, no fantasy I would like to have an unleveled world. Glass and Daedric items are rare and etc. Combat realistic and challenging. I would like some immersive mods. Hunger/Thirst/Sleep, weather, and etc. I am intrigued at the overhauls but there are many to choose from. I want to play as a melee fighter assisted with magic. Any help or direction is appreciated. Thank you.
  12. What hurts the Alikr's case was that they were hiding behind bandits in a hideout.
  13. X sheaths and unsheathes right? That's true, you could add another option to the cycle.
  14. Well actually, you can download the Immersive Armors mod and disable the rest of the armors and keep the armor you want via the MCM menu. Just watch the video.
  15. Bump, someone has to be interested in a mod like this. Especially pure melee characters that love the blood and guts of hand to hand combat. It doesn't seem that hard in theory. It can be two separate items (throwable and regular) than can be toggled by holding the activate button. Just remove and add items to switch. You would need permission from the throwing weapons mod author to do this, then recalibrate the stats accordingly to be realistic.
