i actually managed to resolve this myself through a process of means I don't really even understand... so feel free to close this! Thank you!

i had to do a clean install of my operating system on my computer (and i'm not good with tech stuff at all). I reinstalled all my drivers and everything (i think?, theres no error warnings on my device manager page at least) and reinstalled skyrim but oddly enough my enb just doesn't look like what it looked like before. I have all the same mods and stuff but it's like no matter what I do I'm not seeing all the effects of the enb. It's doing at least a little bit i know because when I toggle the enb on and off in game I can see a difference, but it's not what it was before at ALL. i'm not exactly a novice at installing this enb because i've done full reinstalls of my skyrim before.. but literally nothing I try is working. I suppose I'm just curious if someone has had this happen to them before and knows how to fix it.

sorry if this has been asked before but how do you use skse with this? i can't get it to detect it.

I've had this problem for literally months now. Most times when I want to access my save, I'll get an infinite loading screen, however there is a 100% success rate of me being able to load the save as long as I start a new game first from the main menu. Meaning - I can't load the saves when I press continue on the start screen, but I can start new games without fail and access my saves from the menu within the new game without fail. I just don't understand why this is happening. It started when I switched from NMM to MO, I kept all the same mods I had before and never had the issue but when I changed it started happening. (I didn't do a conversion, I just did a full reinstall). The real problem I guess is that it doesn't happen all the time, so it's extremely hard for me to pinpoint if a mod is causing it or something. I once spent an entire day activating, loading, running around, (repeat 5 times with the same setup) then activating another mod and repeating that process again to test it out if I could find if it was a mod causing it and needless to say it wasn't very efficient and certainly didn't help me figure anything out. It's not unbearable, because like I said as long as I start a new game I can load my saves, but I'm just so tired of having to do that and also I don't like knowing my game is unstable. Any help would be greatly, greatly appreciated. I forgot to add that safety load didn't help me with my problem.

Basically the title. I've been experiencing lag outdoors only when I exit interiors. However, if I alt tab out of the game and back in, zero lag. Has anyone had a similar issue to this before and figured out what's causing it?

yeah, i have both safety load and this already but nothing seems to be fixing it but i suppose you're right, maybe I just have too many mods, around 80 it seems like i can run the game after disabling a handful of them , but when it comes to pinpointing any of them to be a "problem" i can't find anything i'm just a little confused because I had all the same mods before i switched to mo and the game loaded up fine all the time (not that im blaming mo or anything)

well I seem to have found the problem mod after testing all day it seems a house mod I had installed and USKP didn't like each other :x. And my papyrus log was filled with weaponrack warnings. but it's weird because I had both before and there were never any issues. Maybe the load order i had was incorrect, but it seems to corrupt the game every time i turn it on even if i turn it back off so I think i'll just uninstall it Thank you to everyone for the help! sigh actually nope, it still isn't this ! ~_~

I don't think so but I think you're right it's probably one of my mods, i'll have to test that it'll just be difficult because it's possible for me to have the problem mod enabled and still be able to load into the game sometimes so I'll have to test each one like 5 or so times :sad:

so far i have tried a full reinstall of my mods, deleting all my save games and starting over, resetting my ini settings to default, running tes5edit, and using safety load and disabled every graphic enhancing mod I have, still to no avail starting a new game and then loading my most recent save works 90% of the time, .. (i installed the quick save mod for that!) but it's still a VERY annoying issue in addition it's hard to tell if I've fixed it or not because if I start a new game everything always works fine, and with my other saves its really just trial/error/patience whether or not the game will let me load them, it works about 30% of the time so i can never tell what's going on :/ any help would be appreciated if you need more information just let me know

Hello, just decided I'd ask here for help in case anyone knows what's going on I recently did a reinstall of my mods while switching from nmm to mo. I had no issues before I switched over. my set up is practically the same as it was before, but I'm having loading issues. When I try to run my save i get the infinite load screen, the only way i can load it is if I load up my prisoner save or a different save that works (usually the prisoner save is the only one that works reliably for me) and then I can load my most recent save from in the game.. The game runs fine once I get into the save, no load issues from there on. It's only that initial time I try to load my most recent save from the start menu. I'm wondering if anyone knows what I can do to fix this or at the very least what could be causing this? my papyrus log is only 3 lines I don't think my saves are corrupted because I CAN get into them, it's just that I can't get into them from the Continue/New/Load screen (or not the most recent ones anyway)

So the character im playing, I built up to play with healing in one hand, and a one hand weapon in the other, and it works fine but I feel like I don't need to have the heal spell on my hand all the time so i'd like to put a sword there instead however it seems there's no "quick" way for me to change from having healing in my hand to putting a weapon there. it's like no matter what one handed weapon i equip, it automatically goes to my right hand and replaces the other one, instead of going to the left hand, however if i equip a spell it would go to the left hand just fine. what i'd like to be able to do is keep my mace in my right hand and easily switch between healing and a weapon in my left hand but nothing i've tried seems to work is there a way to fix this that i am unaware of?

well, I tried the setnpcweight thing and it did change the color a tiny bit, it's still grey though if i use the ck all i have to do is highlight the npc and hit ctrl f4? I don't have to do any of that esp to esm convert nonsense?

Hello I know similar questions to this have been asked before but i'm beginning to wonder if my problem is something different i have one mod that adds a house and about 8 npcs, all of them have the grey face problem when i use familiar faces, i also get this issue when i place my characters into the world, however only for male characters, when i tried importing my female character into the world her face color was fine! every other npc seems fine, even the ones who got their faces redone with my npc overhaul mod or complete physical change with another mod etc i had both of these mods before i had reinstalled my mods a couple nights ago and they both worked just fine, no gray faces or anything, but now for some reason everything is all buggy is the only solution to this setting the esm and using the ck and the ctrl + f4 etc? because it would be rather tedious to do that for each npc with this problem :sad:, not to mention i hate everything involving that horrid creation kit

Hello! Tonight i did a full delete and reinstall of steam, skyrim, and most of my mods because i wanted to fix some in game problems i was having however when i try to run the game, i make it to the loading screen and then I crash.this happens whether i try to run a loaded game or start a new one. (i don't mind losing my previous game). I assumed a mod I installed could be causing this - however I've disabled EVERYTHING except skyrim.esm and update.esm and I continue to get the ctd's! would anyone happen to know what i could do to fix this? i've already verified the cache through steam and that didn't help me
