What values would I be looking for in nifskope? Here are some values of both the body armor (which is correct in terms of mod-added shaders) and one of the helmets. http://imgur.com/0Y3XYrn

Here's a screenshot of what it looks like in-game during an ash-storm. The thing that bugs me is that it was made to be compatible with Wet and Cold (all the features work find with it), so I don't see why it would look like this. I was using an old version of Wet and Cold and have since updated, but that didn't change it. http://i.imgur.com/QdjETsY.jpg

For some reason, the "ash" shaders that are applied to armor and clothing during an ash-storm from the mod "Wet and Cold" don't look correct on a the netch leather helmets from this mod: http://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/50339/? Every piece of armor from that mod looks fine during an ash storm, including the masks, but the hats for some reason have a bright white, almost snowy shader applied to them. Is there anything that can be done in the CS to fix this?

Does anyone know if there's any way to continue the civil war quest without having to choose over Hadvar or Ralof? With the Alternate Start - Live Another Life mod, you find both of them dying in a cave, and you can only give one of them a health potion. The other gets crushed by a rock by doing this. I feel pretty bad leaving the cave with only one of them, especially after the one I rescued asks what happened to Hadver/Ralof. You can't tell him that his childhood friend was just crushed to death, and it's scripted kinda blatant whereas it's obvious that by saving one, you're indirectly killing the other. In vanilla, both would live and could be found later in the game regardless of who you chose to go with. Does going directly to the town to warn the citizens result in them living? - On second though, they would both have to live, because if you leave them both in the cave, you haven't chosen a side in the war yet. If and when you team up with either the Stormcloaks or Imperials, don't you meet up with Hadvar/Ralof again? I think this might be the case, I'll try this later and post the results for anyone who felt the same about this moral dilemma.

Any problems reverting to 1.8?
oblivionman777 replied to oblivionman777's topic in Skyrim's Skyrim LE
So now I have a flipping cart and messed up intro scripting, probably caused by mods. I know it's recommended to start game by saving after the opening, but I don't feel like playing a broken game. I'll probable reinstall Skyrim to Vanilla, add a few mods, and leave it at that. I'll see if I can fix the lip sync in vanilla. I haven't even gotten to play the DLC yet. -

enablevsync=true iPresentInterval=0 Yikes, looks like there's a lot wrong with the opening sequence. Ralof was wearing some strange armor, Ulfric wasn't gagged, and names were never called out, leading to everyone just standing there. Missing gag and Ralof's gear is probably Immersive Armor, but I'm not sure what's causing the scripting problems. Same scripting problem described here: http://forums.steampowered.com/forums/showthread.php?t=2846193 -

The two errors are for .esp's that I have deactivated. They are patches for Diverse Priests for mods I don't have. However, I decided to load an earlier save when I noticed the exposure rating on armor wasn't working from the Frostfall mod. On that save, the ratings were there, and the lip sync seemed slightly better (though not on all NPCs). After this happened, I decided to start a new game for the heck of it, and the carriage started flying around all crazy, which tells me something is wrong with vsync. I'll check around the .ini files and see if something is wrong, or maybe I messed something up in the Nvidia panel. Hopefully this might fix it. -

iPresentInterval is set to 0 I'm using Nvidia with a GeForce GTX 555 graphics card. Vsync is on in the ENB.ini, and I also tried forcing it through the Nvidia control panel with little result. The lip sync is pretty bad for me, the NPCs will continue moving their mouths 2-3 seconds after they've finished speaking. -

Okay then, so how do I go about fixing the lip sync? I've read that most people fixed it by enabling vsync with ENB. I did that, made enablevsync=true in the .ini, even limited my fps down to 30 with a limiter. I get less stutters now, but I still have the lip sync issue, even with vsync enabled by ENB. I'm not running an ENB present, I just have the software installed. Do I need to have an ENB running to fix it? Do I need more info in order for this problem to be fixed? Thanks. :( -
I just backed-up Skyrim, ready to revert to 1.8, but first I'd like to know, will I experience any problems associated with "downgrading?" I'm running SKSE, SKYUI, ENB (but not an actual enb mod), and a ton of others. (70 plugins) Will I get problems from add-ons that require the latest version of Skyrim, and if so, how could I fix it? Thanks. EDIT: So I just checked some mods in my load order, and "Wet and Cold" requires 1.9. Is there really no way to fix the bug?
-
So a while back I pre-ordered Skyrim for the PS3, and now I have it for PC via the steam sale. Just trying to get up to speed here, is there really no known solution to the lip sync bug introduced in update 1.9? It seems pretty hard to believe there would be no solution, yet alone response from Bethesda, for a glaring issue that started more than a year ago. It has to have been fixed, or at least given a statement from the devs, right? I haven't seen much of a backlash from the Skyrim community as of recent, except for a single obscure Youtube video. Certainly the prominant Skyrim mod reviewers of Youtube would have made an issue of it? Has the community yielded and decided to just put up with it? The only real response to it I've seen was a huge thread addressing that I can't find the end of. Sorry if I seem to make too much of a case for something that's been fixed, but I've found no solution, and it seems like this would be a HUGE problem to an action/RPG in which conversation plays such a prominent role. The dialogue must have taken hundreds of hours to record, and to sync it up with the characters must have been equally toilsome. The facial animations of the NPCs matched with the voice acting, even in TES IV: Oblivion, was one of the coolest features I found in the game. Please tell me there's a fix in sight? Edit: So apparently Bethesda moved on a long time ago and said the would only come back to Skyrim for "minor updates."

Looking for: blackwood swamp hut/chitin armor mod
oblivionman777 replied to oblivionman777's topic in Oblivion's Discussion
Resolved. The mod is called "Slimy Mudhole" and is hosted both Planet Elder Scrolls and the Nexus. To anyone who's interested; it's a great mod: http://oblivion.nexusmods.com/mods/20679/?tab=3&navtag=%2Fajax%2Fmodimages%2F%3Fid%3D20679%26user%3D1&pUp=1 http://planetelderscrolls.gamespy.com/View.php?view=oblivionmods.detail&id=5066 -
A long time ago on my old computer I downloaded a mod that added a custom mesh Yoda-looking house into the Blackwood territory. Along with it came a set of chitin armor. I think it also had a quest line to it, and inside the hut contained an entrance to a cave leading out of the house. I also remember there being a corpse near the house, apparently the former owner. This was one of my favorite mods, and I'd love to have it on the new computer. I've tried searching, but to no avail. Does anyone know what this mod is?

DDoS season begins, sites a little bit unstable
oblivionman777 replied to Dark0ne's topic in Site Updates
Best of luck repelling such attacks. I could understand why someone would DDos a government website, or perhaps a large corporation that they do not agree with, but why here? A multitude of reasons could provoke an unstable mind from reacting like this. Anger at a moderator or Bethesda; we will never know. :/ -
HELP! Some time ago (a few years) I tried downloading hmm what was it... I don't remember but it was some mod program thing they you need for a lot of mods. Anyway while trying to download it something went wrong and the mods didn't work anymore. I THINK that I deleted something from the oblivion folder and moved it somewhere because it told me to do something like that. Anyway, because I wasn't able to download any mods (I deleted all my mods because I wated to start fresh) I stopped playing oblivion for a while. I have it on ps3 but I really want to play some mods. I tried reinstalling oblivion but that didn't work. HELP!?!?!!?

Hi everyone. I've been experimenting with blender and the construction set. I want to have a mod that is a mage/scientist/mathmatician house. I want it to be in...one the best cities of all....... SKINGRAD!!! I'll post some concept art later. But here's what I've got so far... It is a house attached by beams on tall, added skingrad watch tower. I want it to be about half the size of white gold tower, maybe a little less. I want it to have a small, stone balcony, with a telescope on it, so I can study the stars  I want it to have a hay roof, and a small about 3 meter, stone, tower comming out of the roof  I want there to be a bright colorful stained glass window of Julianos. Like those brght stained glass mods. I want it to be sticking into the city. look at the slimy mudhole mod, I want stuff like that in the house, the globes, maps, and books. I just thought of this. For about a year I've wanted to make a total comversation mod. One that adds a purple eyed, martial arts skilled race called the Malanier. And a whole shivering isles size island that they come from. I just need to find my concept art for that (moving) :wallbash: I also have comcept art for the malanier city, located in a bay full of ships. their added divine that only they believe in. houses style, and alot more. the island is very diverse. the very very large mountains in the middle with a ciity carved into and inside it. The desert including the abyss which is a giant sink hole, a wall surrounding the deserts which is guarded. AND MUCH MUCH MORE. while exploring the house, which is in perfect condition as if someone was living there yerterday (there was) you find a book called Isle of the lost. BTW, the malanier are a lost race, and the mountains are inhabited by dwemer and malanier. There's also some elve type race wo have a city that's in the rainforest, like a giant treehouse. Kind of like the ewok city from star wars  ANNNYYYWAAAY you read it, which is a journal of the scientist/mathmatician. it says that he has found that by saying the words (something) he will be teleported into the world. It ends before he says the words. It adds a spell "say (watever the words are, need to think about that) you do it and you arrive in another world, the isle of the lost. In there you are in another house, similar to the other one. there you see the man. He aproaches you, very suprised. and then he tells you that he tells you the he came to try to stop the maddness in this land, it controlled by a new evil dictator leader. Noone likes it, and his army follow his every command, not willingly but by mind control, it seems that the veil dude used to be the scientis/mathmaticians student, but then his student began exploring with the dark arts, his master was very displeased, then one day while "exploring" his student threatened his master, so then his master banished him to the isle of the lost. And it turns out he was the first outlander to step in this land. So they were honored and welcomed him to the king's palace. He betrayed him and lied to the rest of the Malanier teling them that worst will come from their god if they don't make him ruler they did and yet again he betrayed them, once they learned of his trechery they assembled an army to go against him. Learning of this His apprentice used the dark arts to mind comtrol his army. Then you hear a knock at the door. THERE HERE! he exclaims, and then you hear a muffled yell OPEN UP OUTLANDER! He tells you that they don't want an outsider to their land. He says he must go, he gives you 2 choices, go with him, or stay and portect his valuable secrets, both have BIG changes in the quest. If you go he says a spell and you teleport to the mountains. Then you must go and try to secretly get his secrets back. If you stay, he says the spell and you are left there, later to meet with him. You fight Malanier who invade the house (the mind comtrolled ones, however you have a choice to kill the mind controlled actaully innocent malanier army or to just wound them and leave. Outside you are in a giant sinkhole, the "abyss as I've mentioned, you see the rocky dark landscape with thousends of lights glittering on the walls, whick are torches of soldiers. You have to excape somehow, once you had you remember that the scientist told you that he will be hiding in the mountains. You travel there and find him. He tells you he came hearing a telepathetic message telling him to come to the land where he banished his apprentice that it is now in great dispair. And also that there is still a few of those who stood against his apprentice (most of them were killed by the mind controlled army and his apprentice himself) the scientist tells you to go find them, but the malanier would be alarmed but overjoyed to see a outlander to come to the rescue, but they cannot yet. His army would do away with you. So he gives you a cloak to wear, (like the modded ones that shadow your face) then you travel to the lost isle capital. And you get a tip from a begger that in the sewers the ones who want to stand up to tre dictator are there. You go there and you are "greeted by a soldier officer, then more soldiers appear and you have to fight, once again you get the choice not to kill. Once you leave you are very angery and look for the begger. You find him in a alley of the city. You confront him he tells you he knows what you are, and he says he only did it to get rid of them, you tell him their not dead, you ask where the knights are, and if he lies again that he'll die, not from you but the army. He tells you there in a small shack you go there, and they are and that's all for now I HAVE A WHOLE BUNCH MORE but I'm going to take a break Oh, and here is a link for the dwarven city. http://tesnexus.com/downloads/file.php?id=15171 Qnd there will be hundreds of drewmer and a couple malanier walking in it. I'd keep on writing but THE STUPID COMPUTER COMTUTER KEEPS RESTARTING!!! WTF!!! I WAS WRING SO MUCH ON HERE!!!!! NOW IT'S ALL GONE!!!!! WWWTTTTTFFFFFFFFFFF!!!!!!
