After completing the Oasis quest with the option to boost the growth, you could make a gradual effect so that approximately 3640 game days after completing Oasis, plant life has spread out from Oasis to most of the wasteland, just some green scrub grass and a few bushes, with more stuff like trees and flowers closer to Oasis. I imagine you could use the plants from around Oasis as a template.

    Well, there's the zat gun, the handheld laser that the zatark assassins have, the Jaffa stun grenades... look on wikipedia for a full list.

     

    Would be pretty cool to see this as a mod in Mothership Zeta, especially if you got to fight some serpent guards on a Hatak ship

  3. and i like Evergreen Mills, its a good place for a quest (and i don't think it has one) xcept for 1 item :D

     

    And a behemoth, :D Plus you wouldn't have to make a large area as it's already done. Just a small addition with him and a few personal guards.

     

    Had another thought, perhaps you could work Littlehorn Associates into it somehow, as they seem to deal primarily with hits on good people. Like, Raider guy contacted Littlehorn and they hired Talon Company? Maybe THEY could want the Regulators dead in exchange for a name, makes sense as Regulators probably kill off some of their best clients... but would still probably need to put in a non-evil way, like threatening again or something... Could include a mini-war between Regs and TCs and you gotta choose a side... Winning against Regs could stop them coming after evil characters maybe... jus a few ideas to throw around.

I was thinking more along the lines of just the deaths of the two commanders being the trigger, as you have to plough through all the hostile mercs at Bannister to get to Jabsco, and I assume killing the new commander will turn the other mercs hostile so if those two are dead, it's pretty much guaranteed that the bases are gonna be wiped out too.

     

    Without both commanders, I imagine the talon company would be pretty disorganised, so you wouldn't get hitmen tracking you down, but would still encounter hostile mercs in set locations eg Capitol building, and naturally they would be a bit miffed that you offed both their bases.

     

    Oh and if you go with the Raider Commander as the guy responsible, you could always put him at Evergreen Mills in the bazaar somewhere.

  5. Isn't it Tenpenny who's put the hit out on you? Or Mr. Burke? If you want someone else, you could have it be Eulogy Jones, or Col Autumn or perhaps create a Raider Commander who's sick of you shooting up his men (and women). You could call him Oswald J Simpson perhaps. There's plenty of space in the wasteland to create a building, might be an idea to make a map marker for it if you can.

     

    You should also have it so that you can threaten the Talon Company guy to get the name, dependant on Strength stat, or stop the hitmen by wiping out the entire Talon Company base, and pehaps also their base at Fort Bannister. You could set the deaths of Jabsco and the guy you created to trigger the cessation of hit squads. Maybe include an option where you can pay the Talon Company twice as much as the other guy to wipe HIM out instead. For evil characters, you could include a mini quest to get the name where you have to do the Talon Company a favour, like kill all the Regulators or something.

Can anyone make a mod where the freed slaves from Paradise Falls (eg Bronson, Ms Jeanette, Bleak etc) run to the Lincoln Memorial/Temple of the Union (depending on your progress in Head Of State quest) instead of disappearing as soon as they exit Paradise Falls? And if they manage to get there, they then start a patrol/sandbox like the Temple of the Union slaves and become part of their faction. The fact that they don't do this has always bugged me, especially as Bronson has a slave map on him that says how to get there.

     

    If you haven't moved the ToU slaves to Lincoln Memorial, then the PF slaves turn up at the ToU building and hang around with the ToU slaves til the Head Of State quest is complete, then either die with ToU slaves or relocate to the Linc Mem depending on how you do that quest.

     

    Dunno about Breadbox, maybe he goes with them or maybe he hangs out at Paradise Falls on his lonesome. Could depend on whethere there's anyone left, if you've shot the place up and all slavers are dead, maybe he'll want to go with everyone else.

     

    Maybe also include something so that any generic freed slaves (eg Evergreen Mills and random encounters) also attempt to run there and join the ToU (but only if they are at Lincoln memorial)... perhaps a dialogue option when speaking to them?

     

    I don't really know much about scripting etc but I'm pretty sure most of the work should already be done in the ToU slaves scripting, should just be a case of copying and doing some minor adjustments... right?

  7. Okay, I found a workaround (PC). Having taken the GOAT, DO NOT exit the classroom. Instead open the console and type (without quotation marks) "SETSTAGE 14e86 10". Then type "TCAI" and "TAI" followed by "COC VAULT101D". You will appear in the corridor with butch, but ai is off so he won't interact with you. Run back to your room to get weapons, then type "TCAI" and "TAI". Now play the level through as you normally would. Upon exiting the Vault, save and type in "SETSTAGE 14e85 90" and when your vision clears type "ENABLEPLAYERCONTROLS" and then "COC MEGATONCOMMONHOUSE" or any other place you wish to teleport to.
  8. UPDATE:

    I installed the Unofficial FO3 Patch for FO3 and Broken Steel, placed them at 02 and 03 respectively, still no luck.

     

    If it helps, here's my system info:

     

    OS: Windows Vista

    RAM: 2 x 1GB DDR2

    VIDEO: Nvidia GeForce 7050, 256MB RAM

    CPU: Intel Core2 Duo, 2.60GHz

     

    It seems the higher I set my graphics quality, the closer it gets to completing the cutscene... Hmm...

  9. I recently downloaded Broken Steel.esm and the replacement video files, started a new game, and now it keeps crashing after the 3 Years Later cutscene, just as Amata says "Wake up".

     

    I have the latest patch from the official site, 1.7 I think, and have disabled Windows Live and put all the Broken Steel files in my Fallout folder. I know this has worked as I can spawn a Tesla Cannon and a Heavy Incinerator before taking the GOAT.

    So... any ideas what's gone wrong? I have already tried playing in windowed mode to no avail. Also tried playing with no mods activated and Broken Steel both activated and deactivated so I'm pretty sure it's not the mods.
