  1. The "Improved Camera" mod I am using will do that as long the head node and 3rd person arms for combat are active in its INI file. I turned of the latter as I prefer the movement of the first person animations but they don't cast shadows so now I am for looking for a way to change that.

Hello CalvinTheAce, if oyu have not done so already, what you need to do first is download and install the "QModManager" the URL is "https://www.nexusmods.com/subnautica/mods/16" this is what makes mods work in subnautica. you should not make a qmods folder yourself as the installer do that for you, If you can find the time, by reading through the previous posts from the top of page 1 to to your post (this being page 2), I believe you will be able to learn enough to get most if not all mods for Subnautica working.

Simzz696 1st issue: their should not be a "not found" folder at all, by renaming it you have likely wound up with "D:\Epic Games\Subnautica\QMods\Qmods" instead of "D:\Epic Games\Subnautica\QMods", as a result files have been installed into the wrong place and so will any mods vortex tries to install. 2cnd issue: it seems that as a method of DRM, the epic games version has to be launched from the Epic games launcher or the desktop icon put their when the game was installed. If you try to launch it from vortex or the games exe file itself, it (not sure exactly what) will, without exception, close the game. the only problem with this is unlike steam or gog, you can't play this or any other single player game with out an active internet connection. All I have had to do so far is to make sure the net connection is their and have Vortex open when I launch subnautica from either Epic Games Launcher or its dektop icon.
  4. DanielDolota2005 Map mod 1.4.0 does not work for epic games version. Use 1.3.6 instead. Also note that If you are using Vortex, "new biomes for map mod" and "detailed maps" have to be installed manually in order to work properly.
  5. Dphiljoe, it definitely works, as I am running epic games version, with the exception of "detailed maps" and "new biomes for map mod", all of my mods are intstalled with vortex. My games root directory is "D:\Epic Games\Subnautica". This is where Qmods needs to be installed to, delete the "\not found" click/tap "next" then "install" A properly intsalled mods file path should be like "D:\Epic Games\Subnautica\QMods\EasyCraft". oh it took me about a day to figure out that instead of "D:\Epic Games\Subnautica\QMods\Qmods - No Autosort\DockedVehicleStorageAccess" "docked vehicle storage access" needs to be "D:\Epic Games\Subnautica\QMods\DockedVehicleStorageAccess".
  6. After reinstalling Vortex and i was able to mod and launch Bethesda's games again from Vortex again. Then i reinstalled Subnautica, so it is now outside of program files. At that point I still could not launch Subnautica from Vortex so I closed it and tried booting the "subnautica.exe" directly and had the same problem, but i could still launch it from the desktop icon but no mods were loading, so I right clicked on the icon to look at its properties, instead of a "shortcut" tab it has a "web document" tab. Is this a form of DRM put in place by Epic games in the last few days? Seems like it is, as I can no longer launch Epic Games version of Subnautica without an internet connection. so unless it becomes possible to change the target setting "D:\Epic Games\Subnautica\Subnautica.exe" in vortex and replace it with the URL present in the icons web docment tab, we can no longer launch/run subnautica from Vortex dashboard. but I found if you can keep Vortex open to "manage your mods" and launch Subnautica from the icon on the desktop or the epic games launcher itself. it all works just fine.
  7. 2 days ago this was flawless, today, I can launch subnautica but not from vortex, nor do any mods load and i dont recall installing to my c drive but low and behold their it is. all my bethesda games are on the E drive (only subnautica is on my D drive as it uses sym-link deployment) so am fairly certain i would have opted to install it on the E drive for the hard-link deployment. i rolled back todays win10 update, kaspersky has no issue with vortex, unreal engine, or subnautica. As part of the process of elimination, I am going to re-install vortex now, if it wont let install to my E drive, I will try using steam mover. not sure what to do if that yields nothing... it leaves one thing, the Fences app from Stardock that i got to unclutter my desktop...might have overwritten something but then i can launch everything from the desktop just fine... ...maybe Subnautica and or the unreal launcher was updated and now blocks anything cheat like?

  9. speaking of modding guides, i set up a profile for each guide i follow and then another one for cherry picking from each guide or simply merging them. Being able to export list of active/enabled mods to a txt file that i could print out would be a big time saving help.
  10. loving Vortex just wish their was something akin to "mod hidden" in Mod Organizer.

OK first up I Have no problem with adds on the nexus but every time I disable the add blocker for this site it is not long before the adds are increasing loading time and or interfering with the pages loading. As a compromise is their a way to choose what type of adds appear in terms of whether they are single images, animated gif's or video so to have adds and keep pages loading quickly and smoothly or would that be too much work for too little benefit, despite the amount of people who would greatly appreciate having such options available?
  13. looks more like a "big picture mode" or that it was designed for game consoles.
  14. will each section work like a drop down menu or transition between tabs/tags?
