  1. Hi, I'm creating a custom voiced follower using this tutorial, but I'm stuck. I did everything correctly (as far as I know), my follower says his dialogue and I can ask him to follow me, but after that he says his line and then does nothing. I can keep on asking him, but the "show playerfollowercount" command will always say 0. If I give him a default voicetype then he has all the functionality (but no custom voice ofcourse). Could it be happening because I'm using Mod Organizer? One thing I notice is that no .pex files seem to be created. I'm using no other follower mods. EDIT: It appears that it does concern MO and it's handling of CK scripts. I guess I'll start working without MO from this mod since it's been giving me alot of trouble
  2. I finally fixed it doing the following: - In the CK I set all the Headparts of the actor to the default ones of my exported racemenu head except for the hair (I had followed a tutorial making custom headparts) - Export face again with crtl+f4 - Used Nifmerge to merge the racemenu head with the exported CK head - Fixed all the texture paths in Nifmerge to my custom actor folders It seems like the mistake lied in assigning all the custom headparts to the follower and exporting it like this. Thanks for your help, Demonikone
  3. Thanks for the response, I already tried it and it didn't work. I don't think this works with the Racemenu sliders, only the Vanilla ones.
  4. Hi, I'm making a standalone follower with a custom RaceMenu head, but whatever I do the head reverts to the default Nord face in-game. I followed every tutorial there is, every head .nif in my meshes folder has the custom head in Nifskope, and it still keeps happening. I must be missing something but I'm completely clueless. Every other headpart works as it should. Does anybody have any idea what might be causing this? Thanks in advance
  5. Hello, I've been trying to create a standalone follower by following various tutorials, and I have the following issue: the .nif head mesh in the folder Meshes\Actors\Character\FaceGenData\FaceGeom\Mod.esp looks as it should, however in-game it looks different, the same as when I open said .nif file when the CK is open (with my mod as active plugin). Everything else works as intended. On the image included the correct mesh is on the left, the right one is the one I get in-game and when the CK is opened. Useful info: the head is created with Racemenu, and I use Mod Organizer. Thanks in advance
  6. Hey everyone, just wanted to give this thread some closure. I succesfully installed an Asus GTX570 last week along with a 650W psu, and the game looks fantastic! I installed hi-res textures, and am using the Stakado realistic & cinematic ENB. Framerate is about 30 fps outside with some drops sometimes, inside it gets to 60fps. I included a few screenshots. Thanks again to everyone helping me out! http://i58.tinypic.com/23icy2r.jpg http://i59.tinypic.com/3493y2t.jpg http://i59.tinypic.com/358vz82.jpg
  7. The problem won't go away by turning bloom of <...off? ...then it is not Bloom. Press [shift + F 12] to turn off ENB entirely. if it remains, it is more then likely bad Shadow settings in the Skyrim ini files. IF problem remains with ENB off....delete Skyrim's 2 ini files and generate new ones. or IF the problem goes away with ENB disabled...Press [shift + F12) again to re-enable ENB. Then open the ENB IN-game menu {shift + enter) top of the second box down are global settings start turning things off one at a time to find what part of ENB is causing it....could be detailed shadows, Ambient Occlusion( AO) , Depth of Field (DoF) any numbe of things..then once you know what part of ENB is causing it ....farther down in that same Box are the settings that control each part...start tweaking! :) Thanks for your response, I followed your advice, and it seems like EnableAdaption might have something to do with it. Though it's harder to see since it turns the whole scene so dark. I don't know if it's relevant, but typing "teosif" in the console gets rid of the effect too (along with almost all the enb effects)
  8. I tried both the 112, and the latest 254 binary, but it didn't make a difference
  9. Hi everyone, I'm having a blocky transparent outline on every object, caused by bloom. Is use this ENB: http://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/12180/? I tried messing around in the .ini and .fx files, to no avail. The problem won't go away by turning bloom of (which I'd prefer). Sometimes this outline has a dark blue color. Does anyone have a solution for this? I included a screenshot (look at the edges of buildings) Thanks in advance!
  10. Great, thanks for the link! Does that mean that it is possible to run the Asus gtx570 I mentioned earlier with my motherboard at x4, albeit with a slower performance? Or does that not work for other reasons, like size? Reason that I ask is, at the time I don't have the budget for a motherboard upgrade, though wouldn't mind to in the future. Buying a good GPU running at lower performance for the moment, would be better than having to buy a lesser one for now and then having to upgrade again after a while.
  11. That's no problem. Thanks for wanting to look for me, but it's not necessary, I've been doing alot of research the last days and have made a small list of cards available in my area (I don't want to do shipping since I have only a few days of holiday left in which I want to install all this) :) The only thing I have to know now is if it's possible to run a x16 PCIe GPU into a PCIe (2.0) x4 slot, since that's the max my motherboard has. So far it seems like it should be possible at the cost of a little performance, but I might be wrong.
  12. It says 25s, which I mean to believe is the time over which they did the metering. The table shows how much FPS was made on average.
  13. Where do you get the 25fps from? At 1920x1080 alot of these cards do pretty well and over 30 fps. What I'm more worried about now is that my motherboard only supports x1, x2 and x4 PCIe, and I have a feeling this might not be enough for a good card. I'd rather not change my motherboard since I already have an added cost for the PSU.
  14. Too bad, upgrading my motherboard is a step too far so I'll look for another one. A 1G gpu not cutting it I doubt though, I've seen plenty of benchmarks and videos of people playing with a 1gb GPU playing on Ultra http://www.tomshardware.com/reviews/radeon-hd-7770-7750-benchmark,3135-8.html
  15. I have another more technical question I'm looking into the Asus GTX570 DCII, and I'm a bit confused about PCI slots http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16814121432 This is my motherboard http://ark.intel.com/products/75016/Intel-DH82H81-PCH This is my case http://www.sharkoon.com/?q=en/content/ms140 I'm not certain if the GPU can fit on my motherboard, it uses 3 slots and it also says something about using x16, while the motherboard specs only say x1, x2, x4. So I'm a bit clueless as I'm really new to all this
  16. I tried Hialgo Boost earlier, but all it did for me was make everything really pixelated and blurry
  17. Another tip I'd like to add: What helped me the most for being able to play with an acceptable frame rate on a low-end laptop (after trying alot of these performance boosters), is playing in windowed mode. I play in windowed mode on a 800x450 resolution, and while that is pretty small, I do get a way better gameplay experience, and the low quality textures are less noticable. Definitely something to try! Also, if you want atleast some sort of Anti-Aliasing, I found SMAA to be quite good: http://mrhaandi.blogspot.de/p/injectsmaa.html It does lower my fps by 3-4 frames, but you can easily turn it off and on by pressing the "pause" button on the keyboard.
  18. Thanks for the link, I am also playing on my low-end laptop when I don't have acces to my desktop and have been trying to boost it's performance the last few days. Will definitely give it a read :)
  19. Thanks, that's a good answer! One thing I forgot to mention though, is that my PSU is 450W. Is that going to give me problems? EDIT: did some research and apparently all these cards need 500W minimum, so I guess I'll also need a new PSU.
  20. I used to have a gtx 570 1gb version before I upgraded to 780 ti, it ran Skyrim just fine, even with a light ENB and a lot of texture mods I got around 50 fps in most places and 60 fps in interiors, if that's really the 4gb version it should be perfect for Skyrim  Could you post a link to the ad? http://kleinanzeigen.ebay.de/anzeigen/s-anzeige/-geforce-570-gtx-4gb%27/232107368-225-1955?ref=search Not a lot of info besides that it's from January 2011 though. Thanks for your answer, it's always better to hear this kind of information from personal experiencee than benchmark statistics. Some other cards I found in my price range: Asus Geforce GTX 570 direct cu-ii 1280mb Phantom gtx 560 ti 1gddr5 Sapphire Radeon HD6870 Sapphire Radeon HD 6950 2GB Gigabyte ait 7850 oc 2gb
  21. Thank you for the website, though since I'm located in Europe I'm guessing it wouldn't really work out with the shipping Edit: What do you guys think of the Geforce GTX 570? I found a second hand seller, price is 80€/100$, which is my max budget. The ad says it has 4gb, which should be really good, but I also don't find alot of info, so where these cards made with so much gb?
  22. Thanks for the advice! Are there any other budget friendly GPUs that I can look for on the 2nd hand market? It doesn't have to be the best of the best :)
  23. Hi everyone, First of all, I'm sorry if this is the wrong place to ask this. Recently I've started to play on the PC, and have lots of fun modding Skyrim. I bought a pre-made PC from a website that sells parts and pc's, and I was wondering how I can get the most out of my system. At the moment i'm getting around 30fps (which is fine for me since i'm used to consoles) with good settings. Since I'm still a newbie on the whole pc gaming, I wondered what I can change in the settings to improve the visuals (for example, today I learned about SMAA vs AA). I already have some performance boosters too. Seeing all the amazing screenshots of other people I'm also wondering how I could efficiently upgrade my system to be able to play with all these great texture packs etc on really high settings These are my specifications (had to translate some things, hope it's comprehensible) Processor: Intel® Core™ i5-4440 Processor cores: 4 CPU frequency: 4x 3100 MHz Cache: L1 4x 64 KB L2 4x 256 KB L3 6144 KB Working memory 8192 MB DDR3 RAM 8 GB Memory type DDR3-1600 MHz Maximum memory 16 GB Chipset Intel® H81 Express Hard drive 1 2,5" SSD, TRIM Capacity120 GB Details SATA III / 256MB Hard drive 2 Capacity 2 TB Details SATA III / 7200rpm / 64MB / 8,5ms Graphic Type Intel® HD Graphics 460 PSU: 450W Thank you for reading!
