  1. (Solved the problem, please delete this topic. I don't have rights to.)
  2. N No worries. What truly concerns me is less of the DAO-MM and more that the game itself doesn't seem to register what's in the Addins and packages folders. The game is installed in the "C:\Program Files (x86)\Origin Games\Dragon Age\" location like it was on my old PC; the only difference is that I'm now on Windows 11. I know game can at least see the Documents folder location because it's registering the "Characters" folder at least. This is just weird.
  3. No, you didn't miss anything. There's no option for configuring either of those folders. Confirmed via This PC Documents properties, Location, same file path. When I set the filepaths within DAO-MM I used the internal ellipsis option for each and manually navigated to each filepath in the browser to make sure they were each correct.
  4. I tried your initial fix suggestion, "make a backup of the entire contents of your new Documents\BioWare\Dragon Age\Settings folder. Then copy/paste the addins.xml and DAModmanager_Override.xml files from your old PC into Settings, overwriting and replacing when asked", but there were no changes. I then tried deleting the entire "Dragon Age" folder and deleting DAO Mod Manager. I ran DAO fresh and let it repopulate the "Dragon Age" folder contents. Then I reinstalled DAO Mod Manager and ensured its file paths were set correctly. It was empty. Then I copied over the old PC "Dragon Age" folder contents and reran DAO Mod Manager, and I'm back where I started. I can see all the DLC addins/offers, a few installed Overrides (i.e. NBaio, Hsli Sexy Robes, etc.), but there are no installed DAzips. Additionally, in game I can see in Downloaded Contents the DLC addins/offers, but again no mod installed content. EDIT: One thing I did note that I missed the last time I made sure the DAO Mod Manager filepaths were correct - there doesn't appear to be a place to link the "Dragon Age" data and override folders to the DAO Mod Manager. I'm attaching a screenshot of my Mod Manager. That may be my goof.
  5. Team, small question with regards to modding (or rather, copying): I think I may have made a mistake. I just finished up a new PC and thought I'd copied everything correctly for DAO. I copied all the \Documents\Bioware\Dragon Age\ folders and contents, and my DAO Mod Manager folder. I reset all the folder paths to the Mod Manager, installed DAO via Origins on the new PC, ran it to recreate folders, then dropped the \Dragon Age\ folder in along with overwriting. The game works just fine, but none of the mods are registering except a few hair mods. In Downloaded Content, only DLC are showing. Within the Mod Manager it's the same, only the DLCs are showing as Installed DAzips. Basically, is there any way to re-point the contents of the Addins Folder and the Override folder so the game registers them, or am I stuck re-downloading all the mods again and installing from scratch?
  6. Quick question with a potential request for a pin/sticky post in one of the DAI forums. Where are the official locations for both Frosty and the DAI Mod Managers? There seem to be links to various discords, tapatalks, etc., but shouldn't they be linked officially somewhere on Nexus? Apologies if this is an easy question I'm missing while looking through the DAI sections. I've played DAO and DA2 with Nexus mods for many years but I'm only just now getting the time to play DAI with mods. So far, it's been an insane step up from learning the first two.
  7. Quick question. Have any of you who still use TWF for Origins found a way to either forge or enchant the Butterfly Effect to a weapon? Yes, purely aesthetic, but it would be kind of cool to have daggers, or a longsword/mace/axe/etc. with the effect.
  8. One of the long-ago site updates changed the link format (and broke any old links), but the mod ID number can be used to find those mods. Look at the 'New Version' non-working link; the numbers at the end are the mod ID > 3316. Open any working link to a DAO mod on the Nexus, and replace the numbers after mods/ with the numbers for the mod with the broken link. In this case, your new, working link for the 'New Version' is https://www.nexusmods.com/dragonage/mods/3316 Thank you! Way too simple a fix for quite a few with new versions I've wanted to try. I am still enormously curious how one specialization mod seems to be able to show more than 8 specialization choices in the level-up window and none of the other specialization mods are able to.
  9. Ah, I haven't used that because the "New Version" link doesn't work on its description page. So when you're on the Specialization level-up page (not the spells page), you see more than 8 Specialization choices to choose from? There must be something in that one specific mod that allows for that, because no other Specialization mod shows past 8 that I've found.
  10. I'm honestly curious, how do you have 12 rogue and warrior specializations to choose from? I may be counting wrong, but the only spec for Origins I have more than 8 possibilities for with mods is Mage.
  11. My screen size is maxed resolution, but it is wide screen. Are you using a squared resolution or wide? I think you're the first person to ever say they could actually see more than 8 (which is awesome if that's the case.) I install my mods through DAO Mod Manager, and follow any of the specific instructions as needed. They all work individually, it's only the maximum of 8 issue. Side note, which class are you on that you're seeing 12 specializations for?
  12. Update to this request: I am only just now getting back to playing through all the old content. Apparently Dragon Age: Awakenings fixed this issue; 12 specializations are showing for Mage with a scroll bar capability. If that could be adapted to Origins, love would be had by all.
  13. This may either be impossible or merely seem like a strange and pointless request, but hopefully it's doable. The in-game specialization screen only holds a maximum of 8 viewable specializations at a time. With all the amazing mods out there, we've hit quite a few more than that (especially for Mages and Warriors). As it stands currently, if you use the Chantry Monk specialization mod (a personal favorite) you can't use any other custom specialization mods for mages because the Monk is a total of four specializations in one mod. The sad part is that you essentially have to make a new game just to try other specs, because you can't even add new mage specializations to non-Monk mages in your party. Basically, my request is a choice: Either A: A way to increase the viewable specializations choices in-game past the 8 max. or B: A way to view specializations on a character-by-character basis. Meaning you might have Chantry Monk visible for your main character, but not visible for Morrigan or Wynne allowing both of those to have other custom mage specialization choices visible. I'm not sure if either can work, but I doubt I'd be the only person falling madly in love with whomever even tries to make this happen. Thank you!
  14. I'm happy I wasn't missing some glaringly obvious way of performing TWF enchanting on items while traveling.
  15. I've never been able to get TWF to enchant anywhere but the augur; I'll re-read the manual again. For UDK, I honestly never knew that. Thanks! Edit: I just checked. UDK's enchanting is the in-game rune enchantment system, not the TWF enchanting where you create an enchantment scroll and use it on the augur to add the enchantment to the item in it.
  16. If by some chance Phaenon gives the okay, it would be amazing if someone could find a way to update TWF so that you can drop an enchantment auger outside the party camp, i.e. mid-travel attack zones, etc.
  17. Which mods? Mods that are .dazip require the DAUpdater or the DAO Mod Manager (my personal favorite) to unzip them into the override folder. Mods that are not .dazip generally go one or two folders into your override. Most mods for DAO have installation instructions on their front page to assist telling you exactly where and how to place the mods properly. Did you follow the quoted advice? You don't want to manually create an override folder. Running the game for the first time will allow DAO to create the necessary folders in their correct paths.
  18. I'm not sure then. It's the only mod I disabled before reloading, and purely because it was the first one I disabled to test troubleshooting methods. As soon as I loaded a new game with it disabled, all the NPCs were back. If I loaded a new game with it enabled, they were gone. Who knows.
  19. First, to answer your @ question: Yes, all the items are appearing; it was specifically Hriviel missing. I install with a combination of DAO-ModManager and manual installs; I never use the newer NMM or Vortex due to the many many issues. I'll skip the rest of your questions because I found the conflict; it apparently was killing the camp party Chantry Monk NPC as well without my realizing it. DahliaLynn's Sleep Until Dawn mod caused, essentially, all "mod" NPCs in the party camp to be missing. After uninstalling just that one and loading a new game, all the NPCs reappeared; they're still missing in my other save games with Dahlia's modded tent present/used to be present. It was both night and morning camps that NPCs were missing. It was a great mod to play with, but having conflicts with at least two party camp NPCs means I'll probably not use it again. On a positive note, TWF is working like a charm again.
  20. You know what, the warden tent one. I forgot I'd added that a while ago. I'll see if that's the issue. Thanks!
  21. I'm the same. I love (well loved, TWF doesn't work for me right now, blasted NPC won't spawn in any load and I can't find any others who have the issue) "under"modding great armors so they're more balanced stat-wise but still gorgeous. I'll check the first recommendation out and see how it plays.
  22. Thanks! Not sure why those weren't pulling up in my searches. The Extended Dog Talents looks great; the Full Combatant Dog seems a little odd but I'll definitely play and see if it's fun. Thanks again.
  23. Hello, have any of you still playing DAO and utilizing TWF come across an issue where everything for TWF loads, but Hriviel the NPC who initiates the lore story and allows you to use enchanting is completely missing? I haven't seen her in my party camp at all. If anyone could assist, or knows of this issue already, I'd appreciate it. Thank you!
