  1. But how will vanilla weapon mods work on the new weapons? What effects will they have? Will they just change the mesh? Also, what If I also want to replace a mod? For example, if I replace the vanilla laser rifle with the Wattz 2000 laser rifle, and I already have a "classic" scope data files (Fit especially for the Wattz), how can I make that work to for the Wattz 2000?
  2. Thanks asdfzxc! That's what I thought I should do. But I wasn't completely sure. So I basically just change all info of the weapon I choose to the info that the new weapon uses(Which I suppose I can look up in the new weapon's .esp.) Then, I'd just save it as en esp. Also, just to be sure, the new textures will be set automatically? No paths need to be set or anything? And could you explain what is the purpose and effect is of changing "1st Person Model Object" to "NONE"?
  3. Hiya guys! I'm looking to do some personal modding, but I am rather new at this. My goal right now is to replace vanilla weapons with more classic weapons, such as replacing the vanilla AEP7 laser pistols with Wattz 1000 Laser Pistols from FO1 and 2. But I have no idea where to start and exactly how to do this. Can anybody set me off in a direction or give some tips or perhaps link me to a tutorial?
  4. I was walking down a hall to free Fawkes in V108 when a centuar goes right through the wall tgat seperated me from it. Obviously it was a bug, but it was creepy.
  5. I've never modded anything before, so I have barely no experience in modding. So my question is: How do you set paths for a weapon? I want a certain weapon to use another mesh and texture I have but I have no idea how to set the paths (which I'm sure is what needs to be done). Any answers please? Edit: Additional info: I want to edit a .esp to set different paths for a weapon.
  6. OK that may take an extremely long time. But how about just restoring a small location, such as Andale or Old Olney?
  7. The Wasteland is rather large. But if done as a group project anything can be made easier.
  8. Has anyone ever thought of a mod to restore the wasteland to how it originally was? You know, like undamaged houses, green grass and trees, people, working cars, paved roads, etc. I'm sure this is possible. Any comments?
  9. Simple enough. Just make a mod to keep that greenish water that Fellout removes. That clear water just doesn't match the enviroment. Plus it's WAY Too clear I can't even see it when I get up close.
  10. So I'm in a bit of a mind boggle between some weapons mods. Classic Fallout Weapons BETA 19th and 20th Century Weapons or Classic Fallout Weapons Revived I'm actually choosing more between Century Weapons and CFWR. Century weapons should have more updates this month, but CFWR has both Century weapons and CFW BETA. Or should I just wait for those Century weapons updates coming this month and see if CFWR will also be updated?
  11. It's also possible that your problem is savegame related, meaning that reinstalling and using the same save will probably not fix it as the mods data is written into the savegame. Have you tried leveling up on a different savegame? Yes you're right. The problem is save game related. I used a different file to check. After getting that new FO3 RAM Boost mod, it disabled LIVE, which I used to get achievements and separate accounts. Meaning I couldn't log into my account. So I copied my quicksave data into the main save file directory. Anything wrong I did like using quicksave data instead of a real save file?
  12. consider posting your actual load order. Done. But also, I uninstalled EVERY mod I had. This could be a problem from the game alone. Would reinstalling work?
  13. Unfortunately I don't use FOOK. Any other possible solutions?
