  1. How do I change the title to have the solved tag? If you have Better Vampires 8.2 mod by Brehanin2 and True Hybrid - Tainted Blood of the Dragonborn by Shade and have visual changes enabled for mortals mask then you might have the following bug. When you cast the mortal's mask spell Tainted Blood will ask if it's a transformation or a custom race. if you choose transformation then The NPCs will start acting like the sun has been shrouded by Auriel's bow, and Auriel's bow will stop being able to do either of its "shoot the sun" powers. all other effects of a shrouded sun will not be in effect. to fix this use the Tainted Blood spell to choose custom race.
  2. So I'm really new to modding, so I don't know much. Anyway, my issue is that I like how the 360 walk and run mod allows you to walk towards the camera, but I want a different walk animation. I have the mod with the walk animation I want, but the mods conflict, so right now I can have the walk I want, or I can walk towards the camera, but not both. Is there an easy way to merge the two mods to do what I want?
  3. I found an imperfect solution to the problem, I'm posting it here in the hopes of finding a better solution, and/or to help others having similar problems. Where to begin? My character was running too fast, and I think it's because of two mods stacking and multiplying each other. The two mods are Werewolf Enhancer by Tryas and Werewolf Perks Expanded-Dawnguard by MichaelDusk. I got the speed buff version of Werewolf Enhancer because speed sounds good, and it was good till I got the "20%" speed buff from Werewolf Perks; I think it gave me 400% speed buff. at first It was amusing booking it faster than a horse set on max speed from convenient horses, but after a while it became annoying, so I tryed to get rid of it. I installed the no speed version of Werewolf Enhancer, but no change. I uninstalled skyrim, all mods, and deleted the skyrim folder. After installing skyrim I loaded up the save file with no mods, surprisingly it did not crash, but I was still booking it at 90 mph. So I figure the problem is on the save file. After reinstalling all my mods I started using Console Commands. player.setav speedmult <any number> doesn't do anything, but forceav does. After using forceav, setav works, but I was still running at 90 mph in beast form. I found console comands worked the same in werewolf form, but what I enter in beast form carries over to human form, but what I enter in human form does not carry over to beast form. So human and beast form now run at the same speed. I want beast form to run faster then human form like it;s supposed to, is there any way to clean the save file of the mod's speed buff? Thank you.
  4. Thank you that worked! But now I have a dilemma. I want to publish this mod, but the fact that I have to export head data leads me to believe that the process is more complicated than initially anticipated. I've looked up a few tutorials on publishing a mod, and they tell me to zip up the mod related files with a file structure that matches the game, and how to upload it to the nexus. But this leaves me with some unanswered questions. Mainly How do i know what files are associated with my mod, and how do I test it to know my mod will work on other computers? I know that Aela edit.esp will go in, but did exporting the head data put a file in the texture or mesh folders? If it did I cannot find them, how would I find them? How will I know the mod will work on other PCs, will they have to open the file in the creation kit and export the data too? If there's a tutorial that answers these questions please point me at it. Google has failed me =(
  5. So I decided to get a mod to make Aela more attractive. I was happy to find that I had a lot to choose from. But soon discovered that none of them where werewolf compatible. If Aela went werewolf form while any of these mods where active Aela just turned invisible. I did a bit of reasearch and found that you could fix this by changing Aela's Skin trait to NONE in the Creation Kit. This worked, but created a seem at the neck and got rid of any cool body textures that the modder had placed. At this point I figured I might as well make my own werewolf compatible mod. So here I am. I have CBBE default textures, and ApachiiSkyHair. I opened the creation kit, loaded up skyrim and ApachiiHair, found Aela and started editing, saved it and activated it. But when I loaded up the game Aela's head textures where darker and faded. I've been messing with the mod, but my changes seem to have little to no effect. Anyone know what I'm doing wrong?

  7. More information. For those of you wondering, the exsact spell is healing. It's the first healing spell. The one that you press and hold to slowly heal over time. (I reiterate because I'm not sure if one of my mods renamed the spell) So I did a fresh install to try and figure out where the conflict was. I installed SKSE, SkyUI, the unofficial patches, and live another life alternate start and booted up the game to test the healing spell. The spell took one second to activate. I then installed Skyre, and the spell took two seconds to activate, and I noticed an extra twirl of the wrist in the animation. I then installed one mod at a time testing the healing spell between each mod, but the activation time never got back up to three seconds. on a side not my game is now stable enough to run mods that it couldn't before without stuttering such as convenient horses, and Schlongs of skyrim. This test has only left me with more questions then answers, so I can understand if the same is true for you. anyway, here's my new mod list.
  8. I decided to give T3nd0s Skyrim Redone a go because it looks very promising. The only major issue I've come across so far is casting a heal spell takes three seconds to activate. I've looked and only found one refrance to this bug here: http://forums.nexusmods.com/index.php?/topic/1103781-healing-spell-animation-is-slow/ In that post the OP says he fixed it, and that it was a compatibility issue, but gave no more information. by the way he made it sound like the solution was obvious I figured it was something found in SkyRe Compatibility and ReProccer Patches, but nothing in there looked like anything I have and activating any of those patches just made the game CTD. Does anyone have any idea what could be causing the problem and how to fix it? So here's what I have: My PC's OS is windows 7 home premium Processor: AMD Athlon II X4 630 processor 2.8 GHz RAM: 8.00GB 64-bit OS Video card: NVIDIA Gforce 9800 GT I have 100 free GB of free space The game is in C:\program files(x86)\steam\steamapps\common\Skyrim I'm running the legendary edition from steam. I'm using mod manager 0.51.0 I use SKSE 1.7.1 I've been using LOOT Here is the LOOT log I hope this is useful, and Thank you. P.S. I know about the conflicts with Complete Crafting Overhaul, but removing it, or anything by headbomb with the NMM does not completely get rid of it, and the left overs will crash the game. if you can help in removing these mods that would be helpful too. So I got Better Vampire Lord Transformation and it turned out great except for one problem. the float animation does nothing with the breast bones, so when I float they sag, and when I die they go everywhere. I was wondering if there's a fix for this, or if I'm just going to have to knuckle down and and learn to mod to fix this. Thank you.
  10. Well I Deactivated joy of perspective, then XPM, then reactivated XPM and ran FNIS. The camera still rides at ground level when I get on a horse. Did I do it wrong, or does that eliminate it as the cause of the problem?
  11. So I recently decided to start fresh and new and set up a new mod set. I've been opining the game after each mod install to make sure the mod is working and my game is not crashing. so I went to test the horse whisper mod and found out that one of the earlier mods broke horses in the way the title describes. I've been going through the pain staking process of uninstalling one mod at a time, and seeing if that fixes the problem. As I was dealing with the challenges of debugging interdependent mods it occurred to me that one of you might know the problem after looking at what I have, or might know a faster way to debug.   12. I cannot find the SkyrimEditor.ini file. I've tried searching for the file with program search, but came up empty handed. where would it be, and might it be called something else?

So as I understand it, when making a mod in the creation kit you first need to load data. you put an X next to the esm/esp files you want data from, and make the esp you want to edit the active file. So if I want to make a companion with the apachii hair I'd select Skyrin.esm, Update.esm, Apachiihair.esm, and make my esp file the active one. The problem is that when I do that I get an error message that says "Multiple master files selected for load. load operation aborted." I can load just Skyrin.esm, and Update.esm, but if I try to load up Dawnguard.esm, Hearthfires.esm, Dragonborn.esm, or Apachiihair.esm even by themselves I get the same error message. What am I doing wrong? Thank you.
  14. So I'm new to modding and having issues every step of the way. I want to customize some modded armors for my own use so right now I'm just learning how to safely convert a nif file to blender and back to a nif file. I'm testing this with killer keos stormcloaks cuirass that I've coppied from the mod to a folder separate from the game folders. I've successfully imported the nif file to blender, and exported it to a new nif file, but I'm having difficulty cleaning the file for skyrim. Wen I try to manually clean the nif I come across a few problems. The first is that I cannot delete 'NiMaterialProperty', but I can delete 'BSPPlightingShaderProperty'. Moving on when Adjusting NiTriShape, the Num UV Sets are grayed out and set to 0, but there is an editable "BS Num UV Sets" and it is set to 4097 So I set it to 1. And finally I open the original Killer Keos stormcloaks cuirass to copy "BSPPlightingShaderProperty' into the new file's NiTriShape Properties list, but the Properties list is grayed out so I put it in BS Properties instead. I test it, and this is the result. So I Tried Nifcleaner.exe, but stormcloak is not in the shader library, so I try to add it. but I cannot name the pasted shader, I can only scroll through numbers that correlate to shader names that already exsist. So I leave it at -1 wich is blank. I open the file in nifcleaner, pick the blank shader for the armor, and CalienteBodyShader for the body and I get the same result. Can anyone identify what I am doing wrong?
  15. So I have nifscope, and blender and they seem to work fine, but I'm not understanding how to make blender open nif files. I've downloaded blender_nif_scripts-2.5.8.09855eb, and seeing as I've installed blender via .exe (didn't even know you could install from a .zip) I double clicked the install.bat file but it says "Error: the system was unable to find the specified registry key or value. Blender not found! Use install.bat "C:\path\to\Blender"" So I opened CMD and typed in C:\blender_nif_scripts\install.bat "C:\Program Files (x86)\Blender Foundation\Blender" and got this. Blender still won't import nif files.

I'm new to modding and do not have a lot of time but I made a CBBE body with the sliders. problem is that unless the armor is also set to the body I made than it's pointless. is there an easy way to convert CBBE compatible armors to my CBBE slider created body, or do I have to edit them all in blender? If there is, can you please link me to a (preferably text) tutorial? I try the batch build, but I cannot find any of the CBBE mods I have in the cheack list, and it stops responding when I just try to build for what I see What is CT77?
  17. So I have a mod that does not effect NPCs that are already loaded on to my save file. is there a way to reload the NPC with out starting a new game? I've tried the Console Commands markfordelete and player.placeatme. any others that might work?

  20. There are several modes that make all females use female walk animations, but non of them seem to work for me. I install them like any other mods, but Lydia still does that ape walk. the mods say they switch the walk animations from male to female for these characters: -Orcs, including the player - The 3 housecarls, Lydia, Iona and Jordis the Sword-Maiden - Irileth - Delphine - Imperial/stormcloak guards - Female thalmor
  21. So a long time ago I got Oblivion then I got the shivering isles expansion and the whole way I was heavily moding the crap out of the game. Then I stopped playing. but a week ago I decided I wanted to play oblivion again but I had lost the Game Disk. So I bought the GOTY edition and oblivion ran wonderfully. Now for my issue. I want to play the KOTN expansion that's on the GOTY edition, but It was so long ago since I messed with the game I've forgotten half the mods I put in and don't want to mess with them. because of this I don't want to uninstall and reinstall the game. is there another way to get KOTN off the game disk and on to my computer? P.S. know any good KOTN armor mods? Thank you.
  22. So I installed the official patch and it gave me an error saying "the ordinal 5360 could not be located in dynamic link library xlive.dll." and when ever I try to run the game it gives the same error.
  23. So I'm wanting to do modeling and animation in oblivion and I am starting with coronerra's Adult Animation Tutorial For Noobs tutorial. The first step in this Tutorial is to install blender-2.49b, python-2.6.4, PyFFI-2.1.4.win32, blender_nif_scripts-2.4.12-windows, and nifskope-1.0.21.4886-windows. Then he has you open a blender file and import a .nif file, and says: "Now is the point to discover if everything installed correctly. If you get an error pop up on your screen you’ll need to do additional trouble shooting to ensure everything is installed properly. Again, I will not help here as I hate installing this myself." Well I got an error, and I was wondering where I would go for help trouble shooting?

  25. I tried that, it just plays from the C drive oblivion despite the fact that I clicked the D drive oblivion launcher.
