  1. In response to post #56686801. #56691326, #56709731 are all replies on the same post. It's been suggested a few times over the last few months... I have a feeling it got lumped in with the "some not so helpful and some plain rude".
  2. Gribbleshnibit8 has created a Stylish css userstyle to improve the "new" Nexus Mods pages. Stylish is a browser plugin which applies user styles to specified webpages. To use, you will nee the Stylish browser extension, and the userstyle Gribbleshnibit8 created: https://userstyles.org/styles/150351/nexusmods-redesign-redesigned To preview the changes, view the imgur album. Most of the changes are to Mod/File pages, but there are some on the main page for a game. (Full album linked after the two marked up sample images). Basically, he has done as much as possible to eliminate extra space. It's harder to tell, but he has also removed extra "wasted" buffer spaces and shrunk text bars to remove wasted space above/below text, such as the light grey bar up top. Some example images that his stylish plugin does, which you can use: Main page: Mod page: Full album: https://imgur.com/a/eMHDr
  3. In response to post #54764888. #54769383 is also a reply to the same post. B doesn't work for all, because some authors think the download description is where giant banner images should be, like this https://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/73937
  4. In response to post #54709518. This would be good. The mouseover for the gigantic hot files images, instead of just uselessly graying out, could show the "short description" text

"@SharraShimada: It is normal for a website to have a desktop and mobile version - and I know this because I maintain several - so your point is rather invalid." Are your website as complicated as this one?
  6. In response to post #54688713. #54690538 is also a reply to the same post. The giant videos can be fixed by putting them in the "Videos" tab where they belong
  7. In response to post #54671943. #54672703 is also a reply to the same post. I don't mind if they don't maintain the old one, I'll use a buggy one until the new one is fixed
  8. In response to post #54662048. #54662188, #54662238, #54662303, #54662373 are all replies on the same post. I agree with having the old site available until the UI is fixed, even if the old site is not the default anymore. The new one is like it was made for mobile with PC as an afterthought despite it being for PC games. If you want to roll it out where the new one is up and replacing the old one before you get the design fixed, then leave the old one up with a different address to still be usable.

I have to second the virtual filesystem part... that's the best part of Mod Organizer
  10. In response to post #46762810. #46764220, #46764795 are all replies on the same post. I agree whole-heartedly with Gribbleshnibit8 on this -- this is just reinforcing the same old problem on nexus of popularity begets popularity, even if there may be a better mod later, simply because of inertia of all the endorsements from being and early mod.
  11. I thought he was the community manager for ModPicker...
  12. The nexus has tool to report ads that are problems. But the nexus also has operating costs. Sure, it doesn't cost me anything as an author to create a mod (other than my time, and as you said time is money), but the servers hosting my mod are not run on charity. It costs money for power, cooling, hardware, bandwidth. AdBlock is like pirating; except in the case of pirating, you're just not-paying the movie/game company; whereas with adblock, it's not just not-paying, you're actually costing the site money by using their bandwidth. Yes, there's shady ads -- but the nexus has a ad reporting tool. Report the ones that are problematic.
  13. Yuck. Waste of screen space to try to fit everything into the little tiny area the pipboy takes up. I don't see the problem. The lower menus, like Aid and Misc don't fit in the screen either and you have to "scroll through them" to get to Ammo for example. Why shouldn't that be an option for the MCM menu as well? If it's the only way, it's fine, but I'd rather be able to see more stuff on screen at once than that
