  1. Well, I usually uses a long range weapons (Reservist or Lincoln's Repeater, depends on the distance) and mostly got critical hit. But with Feral Ghoul and Mutant Overlord, I can't do that. After I snipes them I have to change to Xuanlong or Terrible Shotgun while backing away and shoot a couple of rounds while they are still charging. But always, I got a hit from them, especially when it's not outdoor. Guess, I have to upgrade my weaponries. Problem is, my big guns and energy weapons skill are still low.. below 30. I have tried to use Vengeance and Heavy Incinerator, pretty awesome but heavy, got to make choices which one to carry.
  2. Your way on reseting through console sounds easy and simple. And that means the Skill Points and Perks Choice are always available, right? I'm gonna try that later. Anyway, I already installed Broken Steel without ending the game and all quests are normal and I'm starting to gain XP again. But there's a simple inconsistency with GNR and Enclave Radio, I heard them giving news after I supposedly had finished the game (Three Dog's "it's been two weeks since..."). And I met Feral Ghoul Reaper! I can't kill him without receiving damage, even if I snipe from a distance (not so far 'cause the encounter was in a subway) and I back away while shooting, it always reaches me! I'm not complaining here, just an unprepared and under-leveled happenstance, but makes killing hard again and I like it! ;)
  3. Thanks all. True, experience points are sometime too easy to achieve; like picking a lock or hacking a computer has a very high XP. So I assume that Broken Steel doesn't fix this or maybe raises each level's number of XP before advancing? Then which mod can anybody recommends? I found a "Level Cap Workaround" mod and will try it later today, after I install Broken Steel.
  4. I reached level 20 today, and I still got 1/3 of the map unexplored and some side-quests unfinished. I already have Anchorage and Broken Steel but haven't install them yet because I'm afraid it would affect some of the original quests. I heard that Broken Steel raise the level cap but also altering the ending of the game. Should I install Broken Steel or should I just finish the main quest before installing? Or perhaps I can install those two (or any DLC) and still continuing the original (without DLC) game without being affected in anyway? Thanks.
  5. I had the problem and I knew it got something to do with codec not hardware. Had a clean installation of Windows XP SP3 and only installed codecs from K-Lite Codec Pack (forgot the version but downloaded it a couple months ago), and I got the stutter problem. Tried MADFilter, no dice. Used InstalledCodec to disable all audio as psyclops suggested in point C and everything a-okay and till now haven't got the need to turn them on. Luckily I'm not using my gaming PC for watching movies, that would make me switching on/off the codecs. Maybe I shouldn't have installed K-Lite in the first place, but for people who need the codec to play videos AND avoid radio stutter problem; try psyclop's point C, it works for me.
  6. - Acid Rain. No green, no rain? But acid rain is possible right? When it happens, the character will be hit with radiation outdoor, like, 1/sec when it small rain. - Dirt on the character, like when you're not using the sinks for several days. Tomb Raider did that on Lara; when she rolls she get mired all over and when she dive in water the dirt gone. - I never see a reflective mirror in Fallout 3, why? Nobody have mirrors I guess.
  7. Yep, that's what I meant... the camera moves 'slightly', or less when you run. That reminds me, how the character jumps felt unrealistic. Although much better than in Oblivion, the character still jumps like in the moon, more gravity please. How about an action of laying down on the ground like the old Fallouts, then the guns' accuracy increased by doing it (snipe, snipe).
  8. - All hotkey-ed items (especially weapons) can be seen carried when in 3rd person view. - Character have more muscles, like, when your strength got above certain level then visually the character got hunkier. - Better crippled limbs, I mean the movements and actions on 3rd person view. Limping and unmovable hands, can't fast travel when legs are crippled, can't use 2-handed or both, etc. - Better home decorations. Classic 1940s decor would be cool. - Can I do shortcuts for the Pip-Boy instead of just TAB key? Like seeing local map with 'M', etc.
  9. - Animation on the map instead of loading screen when going from one place to another, just like the old fallout games. - A big backpack or haversack will be more realistic. Maybe not an actual item, but only an armor or clothing modified visually. - Can I see time and also the on-meter (like, Pip-Boy internal clock, you know, to see how long I have been playing) on Pip-Boy 3000?
  10. I don't know how a MOD can really modified the game, but here goes my ideas: - A right hand punching buttons and turning dials on the PIP Boy (instead of cursor, cool, eh?!). - Dynamic blurring of landscape with cursor. Like, when you move your cursor to near objects far distances get blurred and vice versa. Anybody play Dead Space? Or, anybody owns a tele-lens? Yeah, that's what I meant. - A realistic movement when doing 1st person view, you know, like small swinging when walking not just sliding on! Gah! Why wouldn't they do it in the first place?? First time doing the walk and I felt disappointed already, now uses the 3rd-p-view only. - Too bad, no shadows for trees and rocks; the landscape looks really dull, like, no depth at all on objects. Can't even be done with MOD I guess? Will be back for more!
