  1. I was really hoping to avoid starting a thread about this but I cant seem to find any clear info on this either here or elsewhere on the web, so here it goes. I play almost exclucivelly in 3rd person and up until now i have yet to see a 1st person finisher (character lv 56, literally hundreds of finisher executions). However today 1st person finishers started triggering for the first time on my dual wield assassin. I have no idea what could possibly be causing this, I recently made a new pair of blades, but I also tested with my old bladed and they also now trigger 1st person finishers. I would say about a quarter of the time it goes to 1st while the rest of the time its the usual 3rd. So ya do you guys have any idea what could be causing this sudden change, or if there is any console command that could help? This is driving me so crazy that I literally can not play the game, I am on the verge of turning off finishers entirely despite the fact that I enjoy them tremendously.
  2. Hey guys i posted this previously in the NV troubleshooting forum but there does not seem to be much traffic there and i figured since I am asking for instructions to fix this through the GECK it should be appropriate for this forum. Anyway my issue is as follows. Ok i seem to be having a number of rep issues. First I slaughtered camp Forlorn hope for Deep Sea and became vilified with NCR, i also killed a whole lot of them when helping the Powder gangers defend the prison. However for some reason the NCR are not hostile towards me. Second, on that same note, i assumed completing this quest would raise my rep with the legion however i am still neutral. And i also did the whole series of I Fought the Law quests for the powder gangers and saw no change in rep. So I am wondering is this a bug or did i simply not do enough to see my standing change. If you guys could please shed some light on this and possibly point me to a fix for this it would be much appreciated. Ok here is some further info on the matter that might help narrow down the issue. I am using mods, but i turned them all off and nothing changed. The NCR do speak to me aggressively so clearly the game recognizes to some degree that im not well liked by them but still they are not hostile. I am not wearing faction armor, but i did try putting it on an it seems to work properly so when i am wearing powder ganger gear NCR is hostile. I went out and killed some legion soldiers to become vilified by them and the legion also does not become hostile. So it is not a bug specific to the NCR. It i only needed to kill 2 legion soldiers to become vilified, i went from neutral to hated after killing one and to vilified after killing the other. I am not sure if this is right but it seems like that was to quick, considering that doing a quest for them didn't change my rep at all as previously mentioned. Anyway thought that info might be helpful in figuring out what the problem is. I also have the GECK so if you can tell me what to check for, or what to change i can do it. i tried digging around to see what could possibly be wrong, and the only setting that seemed relevant was the track crime option in the faction window which was on for the NCR. Anyway thanks in advance for the help.

  5. Hello There are alot of leveling mods out there, many of which increase your attributes dynamically based on your skills. But im looking for a much simpler mod, one that essentially simply lets me chose where to place my attribute bonuses. It takes 20 minor skill increases and 10 major to get 15 bonus attribute points, i want to keep this as is i just want to chose where to put those 15 points. So if i was increasing athletics acrobatics and light armor i want to be able to increase endurance. And of course if i onlly raised 10 major skills i should onlly have 5 attribute bonus to put where i chose. It seems much simpler then many leveling mods i saw so there must be one out there. Thanks for the help
  6. Hello It seems the whole not asking, does this mod exist rule is pretty lax, plus i did find a mod which is a variation of what im looking for so i hope its ok if i ask. When i finished the shivering Isle quest i was anxious to see how guards would react to Lord Sheogorath attacking them. I was disappointed though not really surprised to find that they still treat me as a common criminal. A few lines of dialogue about misunderstandings and being honored to fall by my hand did not change the fact that my fiercely loyal seducers demand money or even attack their god outright. So basically im looking for a mod that would make seducers entirely passive when you become sheogorath, and have them not respond to any crime i commit. And if i attak them it would be nice to have them stand there and not attak back untill they are killed. I found a mod called My realm my rules, i think, that ads a dialogue option when the guards speak to you saying i committed no crime leave me alone or something like that. But that mod also adds spells that i dont want, and again i would prefer to have them not initiate the crime dialogue at all. Thanks in advance.
  7. Hello everyone. Got another balance question for you guys. So i have OOO and a bunch of other mods instaled, and i find that now with my lv 28 character i am quite godlly so im not sure if the mods i have have tipped the balance too much in my favor. So here is a list of relevant mds im using organized into 3 categories ones thet make game HARDER, ones that make it EASIER and ones that could do BOTH. HARDER OOO, im sure you all know how it works Adrenaline Oblivion Adds more enemies to the game, alot more These two mods alone should make the game very difficult. BOTH Supreme Magica Makes magic more powerful for me and my enemies, fighting groups of 10 dremora mages with 3 pets each is quite a sight so even though my guys is a mage i would say this is a fairly even mod when considering adrenaline oblivion. EASIER Mage Equipment Some better and better looking mage items, nothing to overpowered there are plenty of vanilla items better then this stuff, primarily it makes the more easily available robes a bit better. Enemies also have these but the fact that i can chose my gear precisely definitely makes this to my benefit. Improved Sigil stones some better stones with multiple effects nice for making custumized sets, but not OP. Unlimited rings i have it set so i can wear 2 extra rings for a total of 4 So ya I did make a really nice set of armor with most items devoted to magic increase, spell resist, and spell absorb with some minor endurance, wep resist and damage reflect. Im not using any of the mage equipment stuff even though it would give me more total benefits i prefer using sigil stones to customize my armor and devote many items to spell resist for a total of 87%. I made some good spells all of which have area effects to deal with large crowds of enemies. And 3 nice buffer spells. I have 415 hp and 750 or so magica without casting the buffers. I am lv 28. So ya i can basically shrug off anything ive come across, with my armor and endurance buffers plus magic resist not much can touch me, high level dremoras that get close enough to have at me with a sword could be a bit dangerous but they are easy to deal with using summons or my paralyze fire spell. I can keep casting my spells more or less indefinitely as i have 100 willpower and 100 int plus items and spells that buff magica and i am a high elf. It might take a bunch of shots to take out some of the tougher enemies but the area effect makes it easy to damage many at onece so i can easily deal with large groups of even high level enemies. One other thing is OOO, i first was not sure that it was working but it clearly is. Except it seems to spawn more enemies that are lower level then me that those that are higher. In a average oblivion gates i will come across plenty of lv 14 enemies, enough enemies in the 20s and only about 5 or 6 lv 34 dremora. And overall the gate will be a brezze. Also i not quite sure how important level is, for instance I fought Manimarco when i was lv 15 and he was lv 34, it took me about 10 tries to beat him but none the less he was 19 levels above me so it should have been impossible. Also it was not just a lucky go, i got close to keeling him about every 3rd try so that's why i kept trying. So again im not sure if i just made a really good character or the mods unbalance the game. Im playing on default dificulty, and i know i could use the slider if i want a tougher game but i like to keep it at default through out the game, because turning it down to get through tough spots and up when you get to strong demeans the point for me. So sorry for long post and please tell me if you think my game is unbalanced
  8. Well as was said you don't need to kill him or even hurt him to any extent, you just need to hit him about 6 times it does not matter how much hp he has. Use a bow or spells, i did it with a lv 1 without being hit just sleep in an open area to give you space to run. He is also in the Malevolent mod, but that sequence is from TOTF for sure, so its strange that it still triggers after disabling the esp. But in any case you could always just remove the TOTF.esp from your data folder and then put it back in when you are ready to play the mod.
  9. Thank you for the reply, i know i should have just done OOO before any other mods but at the time i really thought there would not be issues and was eager to finish the installation. However i did make a copy of my oblivion folder just prior to installing any mods so i will try to install only OOO and see if it works later. 10. OK guys i really need help here, OOO installation is driving me insane. Ok well i installed OOO but whatever version I installed clearly was not the full version as it did not have an esm file. But none the less after playing a while an making it to the kvatch gate and seeing those demon wolves and atronachs at level 1 i pretty much assumed that i got OOO to work, at least the most important part, Because with my first character, one i didnt play for very long, i only got low level imps at the kvatch gate. But now that i have instaled a whole horde of new mods and leveled my character to 37 i decided to start another one, after doing so and going to kvatch i again encountered nothing but low level imps and in general everything in the world seemed easy to kill. So now i freaked out realizing OOO was not working, i figured a fresh proper install was in order. So i reinstalled oblivion and tried to figure out how to install OOO properly. I found a guide on this forum but it was more confusing then anything telling me to download all sorts of unrelated mods with no explanation. But it was useful in that i cleared up which versions i need to install. So i downloaded OOO 1.33 complete, and OOO 1.34 beta 5 patch. As to not complicate matters with omod conversion data, i simply did a standard manual install of the full version following the instructions, then applied the patch. Then i proceeded to install all of my other mods and started a new game. Well everything seemed fine no crashes smooth running. The soul gems inventory icon looked different so right away i figured that OOO was working, then in the imperial city i saw the imperial notice by the gate which i understand is from OOO. But when i was fighting enemies it seemed they were to easy, so i checked their level through the console, and as it turns out they were all level 1 or 2. I can find nothing except imps bandits wolves and goblins all level 1 or 2. So as you can imagine im really baffled, it would seem OOO is working yet the level system is not. Of course im thinking it may be a mod conflict but i cant think of any mods i have that would conflict with OOO most are quest mods or minor changes such as horse or arrow speed. The only mod i wold think could conflict with OOO is Adrenaline Oblivion, but it should not as that author of the mod even recommends that you use OOO with his mod. Anyway i will be starting a new character with Adrenaline disabled tomorrow to see if that will help, but im hoping to avoid doing that for all my mods as it would take ages. So any advice on what mods could conflict with OOO or how i could have messed up the installation would be appreciated.
  11. Name: Rahjan the Silver Mane Race: Khajiit Tojay (the panther looking khajiits from Elsweyr mod) Class: Shade (custom mostly stealth oriented) Birth Sign: Thief Armor: Apophis armory stealth set (glass equivalent) custom enchanted with improved sigil stones Weapons: Meveras Blade (bad-ass 2 handed katana from dark brotherhood anvil chapter, Deadric claymore equivalent but faster), Wrath of Sithis ( Apophis Armory bow enchanted and renamed) Guilds: Black Hand (listener), Thieves Guild (Gray Fox), Servant of Sithis (Wrath of Sithis), Archeology Guild (Headmaster), Champion of Cyrodill, Arena (Grand Champion) Specialties: Slicing throats, cutting through hordes of dremora, Astral Combat/force spells (midas mod) Rhajan kills first an foremost in the name of Sithis. He became listener of the black hand and rebuilt the brotherhood. At this point he was skilled with blade and bow but wanted more power, so he studied the arts of mysticism and illusion, and found a shop of the unorthodox mage Midas, who was in need of gold and was wiling to sell his knowledge and his magical equipment. As he practiced and collected the rare ingredients for his spells he became the master of force combat throwing hordes of enemies off himself, or drawing single opponents into his own private astral combat arena which now lies scattered with the blades and shields of countless enemies. No he no longer had to hide to be deadly but could take on hordes of enemies head on knowing he could keep them at bay as he sliced through them one by one. He now kills anyone who displeases him able to deal with the most dire consequences. He competed in the arena and in a few short days sliced through the entire yellow team including the grand champion with ease, not for fame or reward but simply for the pleasure of killing and bringing suffering. He helped the emperors illegitimate son stop the oblivion invasion, however his motives for doing so remain unclear. Some say he is not unlike Dagon and simply wanted to Cyrodill untouched so that he may be the one to bring suffering to the world. Despite his affiliations and unspeakable deads he walks freely in the daylight, most fear him to much to deny him service at a shop or an inn, he always pays his bills but has a tendency to split the shopkeepers that displease him into several pieces. All the more reason to to cater to him. An occasional greenhorn guard will try to arrest him for his crimes but this always ends with that guards head and those of his comrades decorating his Listeners chamber in anvil. Thanks to Midas he can now enter the oblivion realm as he pleases, but in order to atain the ingredients for this spell he had to slay a Balrog in a deep cavern a fiery creature standing 100 feet high and almost impervious to weapons, how he did it no one knows to this day. Ya he also has a demon sharing his body that he can call upon for asistence in dire situations. Those of you who have played Tears of the Fiend know what i mean.
  12. Hello again it appears im having yet another mod issue. I downloaded Adrenaline Oblivion mod that dupes the existing enemy NPCs for larger battles. And i read in the readme that there was a blind NPC AI bug that was fixed. But apparently it was not, at least i still experience it. So far i noticed that this only with flame and storm atronachs they will completely ignore me as i walk up to them, if i commence the attack they will fight back, their spells seem to fire accurately but when they try to attack me in melee they seem to have trouble finding me unless im right next to me, but i could be imagining that last part. Anyway if any of you know what could be causing such behavior and how to fix it, i would appreciate the help. I have the construction set but know very little about how to use it.
  13. Hello again, well sadlly i got no replies, but it would seem that this problem resolved itself i can use the oblivion portal just fine now. However another issue sprung up in its place. While i was playing through Camrons Paradise and the last part of the main quest my Midas spells stoped working randomly after loading, after a second load they would not work at all until i restarted the game. Well i decided to revert to an earlier save because i wanted to leave the main quest final part for later and at this earlier save the spells were working just fine no matter how many times i loaded. But after a while of playing it happened again, now it seems random on time i load they will work another time they will not, and on ocasion i will load and i can cast once or twice but then sudenlly they will stop working even without loading. So please help guys
  14. Well i recently downloaded Midas Spells mod and generally speaking im loving it, i was really thrilled when i got the oblivion portal spell, it felt like just reward for an exiting balrog battle. But alas i am now having a major bug. I go through everything is fine, make my way to the sigil stone, great, take it and it throws me back out where my portal was. Exept after loading screen my screen starts flashing black and will not stop. I can still cast spells in between the black flashes so i try casting astral recall but that just brings up a stuck loading screen. I also tried to take the stone then astral recall before the gate closes, this works and i get away with the stone, however when i open another portal it leads to the same tower, and when i go to the very top the loading screen freezes, I searched the midas discussion forum and noticed that someone else had the same bug, but it seems that no one answered his question. So please help, this is really strange.
