Let it snow! Survival in the Frozen North
Facebag replied to mrpepperkitty's topic in Skyrim's Skyrim LE
As for me, I like the idea of a cycle of seasons. I think that'd definitely crank up the realism to epic proportions. Don't get me wrong, I really like the idea of this whole icy mountainous terrain, but I'm also hoping to be able to set foot somewhere that isn't covered with a blanket of snow. -
Can't say I've heard of any such weapon. I'm not too experienced with the CS, so I suppose someone else could verify it for you with more certainty than I could.. but... I'm really pretty sure that's got to be a mod. Happy Sword-Searching

Yes, he is a vampire, but he's somewhat modified from the standard vampires in the game. He doesn't look like a vampier (obviously), and that's presumably because the developers didn't want to give it away and spoil the quest. But he has a set of abilities that are somewhat weaker than the usual NPC vampires, and he doesn't have any of the vampire spells or take sun damage. I kinda wish the developers would have thrown in some little detail here or there to explain how he's able to hide it so well as opposed to, say, Janus Hassildor. Would've helped with the realism.

Anyone know of a good mod to improve the visual quality of the blood in the vanilla game? There seems to be a bunch of there, but I'm looking for recommendations. If possible, I'd like it to be more realistic (i.e. nice, detailed blood but the characters don't explode into a thousand gory chunks when they die.) As of right now I'm playing the game totally vanilla, having uninstalled ALL my mods.

I actually kinda like the new format of the site.. especially considered that this is the first time I've posted anything since like.... sometime in '09.

In your opinion, what would be a good grass mod to use? Because I'm looking for one that will improve the grass to make it look more realistice, rather than choppy and jagged. It often looks as if it's arranged in rows of diagonal slashes, particulary when viewed from a distance. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Huge Problem with Hard Disk Space.
Facebag replied to Facebag's topic in Oblivion's Mod troubleshooting
I wonder if there's anyway to scan for large folders. Complete with all mods and plug-ins, I don't think Oblivion could be taking up more than 15 gigs? What could be taking up all this space? I don't download many (or any) movies (as of yet). -
Huge Problem with Hard Disk Space.
Facebag replied to Facebag's topic in Oblivion's Mod troubleshooting
So my computer is misreading the amount of free disk space? Huh... -
Alright, so I'm having a pretty serious problem. A little while ago, I checked my hard disc space, and saw that I had less than 1 gig of free space. I wondered how this was possible. Well, upon checking programs and sizes in the control panel, I cam across something kind of shocking. According to the control panel, Oblvion takes up about 6,853 MB, which seemed normal. But then I checked the plug-ins. And according to the control panel, each plug-in is taking up 6,612 MB of disc space. How is this possible? And also, it reads that Oblivion Mod Manager and Operation Optimization take up 6,853 MB each, the same amount as the Oblivion game? How is this possible? How I am running out of disc space like this? Even with three copies of the game installed, it would not take up that much disc space. Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Just curious, how is it that Rowley Eardwulf sits on the stairs in the Wawnet Inn? I have never experienced another Oblivion character who sits somewhere other than a chair or a bench. I'm not familiar with the construction set, so perhaps he has a special tag that allows him to do this? Or maybe the stairs are treated as a chair of sorts, just not useable by the player, like the Imperial Watch Armor ( by the way, it's stupid that players can't use that, it looks so fancy; if anyone knows of a mod that allows players to use it, message me.) Any info on this query would be appreciated.

Hello. I have posted asking this question, before, but never with its own topic. Does anyone on the forums know of a mod which can add animations for simple things like picking up objects, opening doors, etc... Preferably first-person, but I'll consider any right now. Also, is it possible for a mod to make waves in water? Thanks in advance

Sand can actually turn the water green. I didn't realize this until after reading the warnings on a hot tub at a rental house this summer. By the way, are there miniature llamas? Because that would be awesome. And would someone please bring me some fig cake?
-
Yeah, it can happen to the best of them. I have had a really bad trojan randomly installed while browsing TESNexus. I'm not sure whether or not it stemmed from the site, though. It may have just been latent in my machine or something. But it was terrible. The computer ran so slow, and it disabled McAfee Security Suite! Oh, and Sparks, it's generally not a good idea just to go clicking and following ads. Before visiting a site, it's a good idea to check the domain's review at www.siteadvisor.com. Also, when ads pop up on your screen (I'm not sure whether these particular ads you mentioned do pop up, or if they are just located on the webpage) you should close it with the Task Manager, rather than clicking on the ad box. This is because sometimes clicking on the box (even the exit button) will take you to the site hosting the ad, which is often a malicious site. Also, you should put more information in future complaints.

Remember, sand turns the hot tub water green, now kids, wouldn't want that, would we?. Also, please remove sandals, and no dogs or llamas in the pool.

Watchie here! It's cool.

Katshy is right, food is important. But not pretzels. Those are among the worst party snacks available. Pretzels, pretzels, pretzels. Salty pretzels to make Jerry Seinfeld thirsty.
-
Or perhaps it is just the allure of the unicorn. THe pretzels are a sight to behold, smooth and crunchy under the canopy of willows, and yet, they seem somehow less than desirable, despite the beautiful aura of their surroundings..... Out of the ground sprouts a garden of mystical radishes, and a gnome with a serving tray glides over and hands you a glass of sparkling papaya cider.
-
Yes and ah, bla bla with silvery meadows and such. Perhaps if I had a pair of blue suede shoes.
-
Uh, I have all the boys' attention? What did I do? Just listened to the sheep. Did anyone bring pretzels to the party? Because if you've watched Seinfeld you might have figured out that pretzels would make you thirsty! But seriously, pretzels are not very good snacks.
-
A sheep with wings materializes on stage and starts dancing the conga while it sings a verse of a Rick Astley song.

Wow. THIS is cool. I REALLY LIKE posting about virtual parties. Dark0ne did not even win the lottery. I was pretty sure the party was a joke, but I thought that maybe he had won some money or something. But while we're on the subject of parties, please, DO NOT bring smoked oysters. And also, the person who is posting with the avatar of the half-lima bean-half-llama thing: that avatar is awesome. Where'd you get it? Because I want to put it as my desktop background.

Try opening the console and entering setquestobject 0004f790 0. If this isn't correct, check the console article on uesp.net

Natural Environments is an good mod for environments, changes weather effects, as well as other included esps that add birds and bugs to the gameworld, an element that the vanilla game sadly lacked.

Do you still have a save file from the character before Contumelorius Florius cast the spell on you? If so, right when you see him walking towards you (or right when you enter the guild hall if that's where it happens), open the console and enter the command toggleflycam. Next, use the flycam to float over to Contumelorius. Click on him, then type kill and press enter. Then he will be dead before you walk by, and probably will not cast the spell on you. This sounds like a pretty crazy glitch(if you're not joking about it). If you do not have a save file from before he cast the spell on you, you should try some different approaches. First of all, you really have not given enough information about the details. When you go to your spell effects page, and you hover the mouse over the nighteye listing, what cause does it list. For instance, when you have your stats lowered by a Faded Wraith's spell, it will list the cause as "Faded Wraith's Curse". Did you try being healed by an altar, like myrmaad sugested? -
1. I was able to sign in later. 2. I wrote the previous message because I could sign in to the forums, just not tesnexus.com
