1. I could have sworn that there was a mod, and that I had it. I hope it wasn't a wild dream (I've been away from Skyrim for quite a while and have had a few Skyrim dreams rofl)... * fervently searches his extensive modlist*

edit: I think it was a dream... I'm just shattered with grief.

  2. 9/10, would read again.

Thanks for sharing your insights on all of this Dark0ne. Its truly fascinating, and I'm pleased to see that community is key to operations - it certainly shows.

"The longest process in that list is in finding a colour scheme that works that I haven’t already used. It’s bloody hard to do!" - haha yes, I've found myself quite eager to see what color has been picked each time a new nexus is added.

Keep up the good work (yourself, the three others and our moderators)!

    Theres no place like nexus.

  3. Great work all involved, as usual. Onwards and upwards!

In case anyone is thinking about it, I can only say that I have been very happy since I supported nexus financially, considering the benefits that come with it, and the satisfaction that I am supporting the best modding community infrastructure around.

  4. I usually have that warning only when steam is having some server issues, but I am actually have an issue starting skyrim past the launcher as well since the other day. I don't know what happened to do this (I didn't d/l the beta 1.6 for example).
  5. Hello,

I had my timezone setting for using skyrim nexus to GMT + 0. It was 5 hours slow. I am in Ireland which is GMT + 0 or at most +1/-1 during the shift. I corrected my issue by setting myself to a timezone five hours ahead of GMT (according to the timezone preferences list in the account preferences page).

Just though someone should know as the contact form seems to be hit or miss for me (sometimes the page seems to be broken).

    The summarize:

Timezone on these forums seems fine

Timezone on skyrim nexus wasn't (as a result)

Changed Skyrim nexus timezone ahead to compensate

Now these forums are 5 hours ahead while skyrim nexus site is fine

    Thank you.

  6. I'm not very knowledgeable about AI etc, but I have encountered an occurance were I had uninstalled/reinstalled NMM a few times (different versions) and then went about installing various texture replacers. Long story short, I encountered texture issues which I solved by enabling the archive inval option in NMM - which had not been enabled due to reinstall etc.

So for me, having NMM activate it solved my texture issues (for what the replacers replaced) - for whats thats worth.

Do you know which version of NMM you were using when you used AI to fix your texture issues?

It would have been 0.12.05 if I recall correctly. Although, I will also say, the purple texture issue could as easily just come about because of a ram shortage or such due to using such high quality texture replacers (Chris's text pack in particular)... but Toggling AI did solve it in my case. Hopefully some more people will reply. But, I'd easily accept it was a fluke for me tbh.

  8. Hello,

I have set the timezone to GMT in the Nexus forums and in the various nexus mod sites etc. Comments made and file release times still show in another TZ on the Mod sites (the tz settings works on the forums for showing posts relative to my tz), from what I can tell I think it is East Coast USA.

I'd like to see all comments, and file/attribute etc changes/releases etc in the timezone setting I have selected. Is this not possible? Am I doing something wrong?

Thank you for your assistance.
  9. Yeah, this is the wrong section.

    Perhaps this will help you:

In order to make the change, you need to clear your user settings. The easiest way to do this is:
    1. Open:
      C:\Users\<username>\AppData\Local\Black_Tree_Gaming\

    2. Delete all subfolders.

Note that doing this will require you to setup your Skyrim again, though you will not[/i] loose your existing mods if you select the same Mods and Install Info folders as last time.

    Bug section is HERE.

  10. I don't think there will be enough room on the far right to display information about the mods you have installed under the mod tab. Thats really a handy feature to be linked with the nexus and able to see the mod description page. hmm

And instead of the popup, you can change games right now by clicking the top right curved arrow..

  11. Hey,

Just a quick question on whether the downloads through the NMM client take into consideration if the account is eligible for downloading from one of the premium download servers or if it takes any server really.

It might be worth considering adding in a way to check the download rate with the other stats like percentage downloaded, so people can see if there is an issue for example.

    Thanks

  12. Yes it does. The icon in the upper left of the launch buttons has an arrow you can pull NVSE down on. The launch is then as integrated as FOMM's...what I am sorely missing is the integrated FNVEdit buttons.

hmm. Yes I can see it is working for Archive Invalidation (for me), but I had to reinstall NVSE a few times before the option to launch through NVSE appeared in the launch options.

    Thanks.

  13. Hello,

I am not sure if this is possible or not, but drawing upon the package manager from FOMM and specifically how it is possible to sort installed mods into categories.. perhaps with NMM it is possible to adapt this to the actual plugin list?

Aside from esps needing to be in certain places (like weather mods at the end of the load order or so) people usually group their mods in logical order in the plugin list, to make it easier to navigate and find mods. Would it be possible to add in a category type view to the plugins list, which would allow the divisions of such groups to be more clearly displayed? This would be a UI thing, rather than anything that impacts with the actual load order.

    An example would be:

    - Core Game Category -

(nestled list begins - start of load order)

    Game.ESM

    dlc1.esm

    dlc2.esm

    - User Interface Mods -

(nestled list continues now - but in actual fact of load order, keeps going after dlc2.esm, this being just a graphical change with the NMM ui)

    darnUI.esp

    readiuspipboy.esp

    etc..

This way, people can sort their mods into groups while working with the load order plugin list.

Perhaps its not possible, or a bad direction to consider, but food for thought perhaps, for all of us who sort our mods in the load list along those terms (for the most part)...

    Thanks

  14. Hello,

First of all, I just want to say how exciting it is to see this project and also to express my thanks for the work everyone has done so far.

Perhaps this had been considered and ruled out or whatever, but after downloading a few mods so far I find that with mods in zip files which offer several esp or esm options for things, they all appear in the plugin list, but since you will only use one, you may wish to hide or remove the others to clean your list up, even if just aesthetically.

    e.g.

A run speed mod with 3 esps of different speeds, should only have one active etc,

The Plugins list will display all three esps in that mod's zip file, and thats fine, as you can then pick which one you want active etc. My suggestion is if it is possible to hide or remove the esps you are not using or intend not to use in a situation like this. If you wanted to use them later, then the means would be to simply deactivate the mod, and reactivate to see them all pop back into the plugins list etc.

That probably didn't make sense. So I'll stop rambling.

Thanks for the quality work so far folks.

  15. Hey there,

Concerning the new nexus styles, specifically for Fallout NV Nexus (although its not exclusive ofc) - the latest page option... under the new style the default and seemingly only option is to have each of the latest additions display with their thumbnail image, if any, in their own seperated unique bars, one on top of the other etc, going down.

Am I missing a conifuration option or has it been intentionally removed to have the configure ability to see multiple mod additions in their own smaller boxes (mostly filled with a thumbnail image) going horizontal across the page in groups of four mods or so?

    Instead of :

    ------------

    Mod A

    ------------

    ------------

    Mod B

    ------------

    ------------

    Mod C

    ------------

    ------------

    Mod D

    ------------

I would like an option to view:

    ------------////////////////------------////////////////------------////////////////------------

    Mod A .............................................. Mod B ..................................... Mod C .................................... Mod D

    ------------////////////////------------////////////////------------////////////////------------

Thank you, sorry if I make no sense.
