About CrimsonxGhost

  1. https://youtu.be/xTGnQIiNVqA This video helped me out with installing skse. He's on a windows machine but all the files are the same just ignore the part about nexus mod manager, he explains how to do it manually (the part thats important is about 4 mins in). He then explains how to change the launcher names just like at the begining of this thread, only on youtube, so you can launch it from steam. As long as you follow along with him you should be alright. Typing GETSKSEversion into the console should verify if it worked or not, so you'll know whether or not you did it correct (the numbers should match his when he does it). Hope this helps.
  2. Right click the skyrim wrapper and choose 'show package contents' Then open the wineskin app, and select 'set screen options' On the bottom right corner the only box that should be checked is 'decorate windows' all the other ones should be unchecked. Hit done and you should be good to go, if that's your problem. Unless you already have this set then I don't know what else to do. Hope this helps. Thanks. Now I have a new problem though. Whenever the Skyrim menu launches, no text pops up so I can't play it. Also, do Steam Workshop items work with this port? Sounds like a new problem to me, but what you could try is opening the wineskin app under 'show package contents' and click the middle tab 'tools'. Then hit 'update wrapper' to the lastest version 2.6.0. BUT! its important you keep the same engine as its' custom built for skyrim. Might help, those are my settings. If not only thing I can think of is it might be a dwrite issue. As for workshop items, I don't see why they wouldn't work unless they require hi res textures or some other mod that won't work. Its simply trial and error sub/unsub from whichever items you wan't. if they don't work then you'll know. I know some mods work from the workshop such as the 'pure waters' mod. Try them out, shouldn't mess up the base skyrim game.
  3. Right click the skyrim wrapper and select 'show package contents' click 'drive_c' click 'program files' click 'steam' click 'steamapps' click 'common' then you'll see the 'skyrim' folder, clicking it will show a bunch of files for the game including the 'data' folder

  5. Scratch that, did a clean install again of skse and everything is working as it should. SKYui and convenient horses mods work fine.
  6. Having trouble getting SkyUi running properly. I know I installed SKSE correctly because when I open the console and type "GETSKSEVersion" it says its up and running and the latest version (1.7.1). Plus all the unofficial patches worked as well. However when I installed the SKYUI mod it gives me the "error code 1" saying skyui won't work, but all the item menus and favortie menus work as if the mod is working. When opening the item/magic menu via tab it stalls for a few seconds and the skyui mod menu pops up as if it were working. There is an option for a mod configuration setting in the pause menu but it is just blank. The same goes for convenient horses mod, I can whistle and blow the horn but there are no options for anything under the mod configuration menu. The game is very playable though, can live without skyui/horses mod but I'd like to know if it's possible to get them working perfectly. Thx for the thread and any future help.
