  1. So there was an idea me and my fiancée came up with along time back in fallout 3 where I ended up creating a vault dweller who was vault security and a bit of a gun nut called Viola. Sadly due to the constraints of fallout 3 we could never go as far was what we made her out to be. I have enjoyed using mods but never have I been good at creating them so I wanted to post this here to see if someone likes the idea enough to make it. Who is she? Viola is a vault dweller from vault 101, she’s a traveler of the wasteland who makes a living helping people as a mechanic and merc. Should could be THE vault girl for all you know but she won’t tell. “let’s just say I have some experience with the wasteland… have to say the kid running Dimond city radio isn't like three dog... he needs a confidence boost / radio music's not that bad, bit more lively than the capital waistland... 3 dogs got competition up here.” What does she do? I had the idea that she might be a vendor but not your average vendor. Viola has a talent for taking weapons and improving them beyond the conventional means, (even if it means voiding a few warranties.) The idea was to have her as a vendor who can take your weapons and caps and retrofit them to increase the killing power and potential. “well I take your boring pre-war weapons and give them a little kick… it’s not like you can void the warranty. well in most cases... your not from the gunrunners are you?” Why is she in the commonwealth? The institute – the institute has weapons she’s never seen before and what’s to experiment (break them) to see how they tick and augment the ones she doesn’t break to improve killing power. “the institute… (laughs) no no I’m not here to join… god no… I like to find new weapons and examine them” What does she offer? A way to take existing guns and other fallout guns/idea and supe them up. “so I could take your boring DSR-50 and that cobbled together thing you call a gauss rifle and create a sniper rifle that fires 50 cal accelerated rounds with a pre-charge function… you know… like they had pre-war…” A vendor who as you do things for her, her inventory increases because she can re-produce any weapon she makes. Maybe have dialog for novelty & DLC weapons. like the broadsided. “what… this is… a cannon… where did you get a cannon… you know what, don’t answer... I’m sure I can do something with this.” Or the cryo ray “a freeze gun… the mechanist or the antagonist would have a field day with this one… but it uses unique ammo? Let me have a look at it… if I can’t do anything with it. you pay nothing. it's not like i'd give you the cold shoulder over something like this.” Or even the railroad gun “railroad spikes, well we live in a world where the junk jet is a thing so… sure” Maybe an improvement to the silver shroud SMG “so I can’t help but notice this SMG is silver and my pipboy’s been picking up a radio station on the silver shroud… pre-war weapons not good enough for… SILVER SHROUD?” Also maybe a few quests to give the vendor more personality. “if you could get me an institute pistol I can have a look at it, see how it differs from your standard laser rifle. I’d look myself but I have a feeling that if I show up on their radar… yeah no…” And quests for other fallout game weapons. Gun runners “you ever here of the gunrunners… group works out in some place called new Vegas, east coast supposedly… come across a few of there weapons but never got a chance to look at them… I might have asked the brotherhood for a lift before they screwed over project purity… also, I have a feeling the gunrunners might not take to kindly to me pulling apart there stuff… for trade secret reasons… well anyway, if you can get a hold of <gun name> I’d sure like to take a look at it.” 223 pistol “so I heard there was once this pistol the gunrunners got there hands on and mass manufactured something called a 223 pistol after buying it of a vault dweller a few 100 years back. Rumour has it the pistol was originally a clip fed rifle that someone fashioned in to a pistol, then the gunrunners got there hands on it and like everything out west turned it in to a revolver… If you can get your hands on one I’d love to examine it. see how it ticks. Maybe find a way to create a clip fed variant that has the same utility." Maybe even modify DLC weapons like the Chinese rifle. “ah, you have to give it to the red menace… they knew how to make weapons that can kill… all for Alaska… welp, let’s see what we can do.” I also had the idea for a unique weapon quest for her. “so, you’ve been helping me a lot so, I think it’s only fair I share something with you… you ever hear of the enclave? Bastards, I know but who isn’t in post apocolitia. Remnants of the Pre-war American government Supposedly they were operating from east to west coast. well, they had a few prototypes of a plasma pistol that I’ve been wanting to get my hands on for some time. You probably know this but the current plasma weapons are more hobbled together pieces of… junk. Well, this pistol was a more sleek design real space age stuff… I only ever heard of a name in the capital waist lands… ZRX-5A, during my time in the capital I came across a terminal at somewhere I shouldn’t have been, that they were shipped to a military base east coast… then someone went and blew it up. But every now and then I hear of a weird looking plasma pistol with some real kick, supposedly the plasma projectiles are mush faster and melt through there targets much more quickly… and I’m talking super mutant targets… but it also has an overheating issue… you ever find one, hand it to me. see if i can't do something amazing with enclave tech..." So this is my idea for a character/ vendor / quest giver if people are interested in that last one i can create a basic paint.net image and upload it to google docs.
  2. Hi I’m writing to inform you of a re-direct that is happening on your website without the user clicking on any advertisements. I’ve had this happen to me thrice and am in the process of testing if it is your website or not. However I have also been in contact with the discord modding community to confirm if it is Site side or PC side. I am also performing an anti virus and tests to see if the re-directs happen on other sites, so far they do not. Here is how the re-direct happened for me. I have a pin open with this link https://www.nexusmods.com/subnautica/mods/?BH=17 every day around the same time I choose to filter it for “latest update” however today whenever I do this I get taken to a website with my ISP logo in the top left hand corner saying I have won something, I already contacted sky and they have stated that they don’t do that. so it is a phishing attack. In my browser history I have the following 2 links. eu.jktouristattractions.xyz eu.jbayattractions.xyz chrome lists them as sky. However they are not. To clarify I have also checked my lottery numbers, updated my youtube subs, checked a facebook page and for this time the re-direct only happened when I performed the specific action listed above on https://www.nexusmods.com/subnautica/mods/?BH=17 when ordering by “latest updated”. also since it happened yesterday it did not happen again when browsing other sites and while studying an online course. also did not happen while browsing steam. As stated I wanted to check if anyone else has this issue and on the subnautica modding discord I was informed it could be a bad/malicious advertisement. also i have scanned with both Malwarebytes and zone alarm. both clean.
  3. I made a translation for exactly this sword and put it in the dungeon where the horn of Jurgen Windcaller is supposed to be because I know what you are meaning. Unique and powerful weapons shouldn't be forgeable and I also find it way more exciting if you get such a weapon as a reward after finishing a quest or beating a powerful enemy. If you are willing to spend a little time with the Creation Kit then you can do that by yourself. It took me an afternoon to learn it. you know that's not a bad idea, only problem is i'm still building my PC to perfectly run skyrim with the mod list i've writen down. i won't be finished until after christmas... plus keep in mind, i play dark souls, quite sucsessfully, so in my mind a challange can be painful to others. quoteing from zero punctuation, "ow you must have the orrange listerine ring, it's right over there, in that chest, in a corner, in a dark room, that's two postcodes away, behind two hidden walls and a fire." so yeah, i'm normally along the lines of creating a room where you fall in to a lower set of ruins that's flooded and a gate closes over you after you fall in, the fall of course being long enouth that water walking would be a death sentance. just so you have to solve a puzzle while in a time limit or in the true fassion of dark souls, came prepaired (water breathing). what can i say, i like a challange.
  4. so here's something that i noticed and it needs fixing. to many of the weapon mods on the nexus are super easy mode 'craft in the forge' there not bad, some of them are quite good but when there 'more powerful than deadric requiring two bars of iron and a leather strap' i instantly deny downloading the mod on priciple that quite frankly a legendary and epic weapon becomes less legendary when ever single man, woman, child and DOG has one. it's either crafted in the forge or found in a chest next to the gate of the riverwood entrance... i'm sorry but i think i'm not alone when i say at the top of my lungs 'i want to earn my legendary weapon of power, not craft it at the start of the game in a forge or find it in a chest practacally saying pick me up and win the game!!!' now i may be ruined because of dark souls and dark souls 2's level of dificulty, but every single rare and unique thing felt earned in that. i want the wapons to be in a dungion full of enemys surrounded by a ring of fire (that is in a pit so if you fall in you can't get out.) were the Dovakiin has to perform a leap of faith over the flames to reach the sword. here's what i'm asking. please can a decent quest modder ask the weapon modders to make a nice and challanging quest or dungion for there weapon. or plant them in the world at a key point of a quest. i emplor anyone who reads this thred to stop and think, is there a weapon mod that you like in skyrim that's far to easy to obtain (forge, riverwood, in the field next to whiterun.) and if so, post the weapon mod here and what you might think is a good enouth action to earn the reward. i'll start... The Sword of the Ancient Tongues is far to easy to obtain for it's level of power and how it looks, however it it were at the top of the throat of the world after beating Alduin then i think it would be a just reward. there, now there's a populer mod with a goal of earning it. and you know what, it would be much, much more satisfying that having one for you, lydia, etc... i'm putting this here because quite frankly the alternative is to ask every single weapon creater to creat a quest version of there mod, which would take years and most would just say no. thank you for your time.
  5. so there's something that i'm suprised no one has put in yet, (to my knowlage), while i am aware there are magical shields, not like this. in a game called kingdom's of amalur there is a type of shield that isn't a shield. it's an amulet. in that game when the block button is used the amulet activates and creates a seethough magical shield. what i would like to see is that replicated in Skyrim. so you equip it like a shield, but it dosn't become a shield until you actively block. a.k.a. dosn't become visable until the block key is held. something like that would be awsome.
  6. That could be seen as most of the deadric princes due to there very nature, very few are seen as without a drive, and yet all are seen to have a need to influence the realm of Nirn, that in itself is why i had the idea that some of that influence would rub off on any offspring one of them had. in essence, influenceing there desires. but yes that means that some of the princes would see there offspring as a means to an end, while others would be pleased an encorage the actions of there offspring. for example, Nocternal dosn't really have a means to an end, just grand larseny. so the sight of there offspring stealing stuff isn't really an end, it's just continueal enjoyment in seeing there offspring do what the deadric prince enjoys the sight of. (if that makes any sence.) but yeah i could see some of the quests as being more driven by the deadric prince desire to reach there own personal goal.
  7. As said, they talk about their creations like one would speak of their children. Priest talks about his children without them being related at all, it's just a way of speaking. "Daughters of Coldharbour" as well. Anyhow, I guess this thread is getting to wrong direction, could OP clarify what you are requesting? you meet the offspring of a deadric prince. (i don't want it just out of the blue it would be good if the dragon born either witnesses something that kinda give it away or through investigation. e,g, the offspring of sheogorath could defeat a group of bandits by first threatening to kill them with a butterfly. which they then turn in to a dragon (like they have the power of the wabbajack in there hand) and sick on the bandits.) I would love to see that. so would i, which is why i made this post on the mod request forum. i'm good at reading up and theorising lore, not good at creating mods, i hope someone decides to make this mod, i know i would help in any lore aspects.
  8. As said, they talk about their creations like one would speak of their children. Priest talks about his children without them being related at all, it's just a way of speaking. "Daughters of Coldharbour" as well. Anyhow, I guess this thread is getting to wrong direction, could OP clarify what you are requesting? the idea was a mod that was a set of quests where you could meet and partake in quests with the offspring of deadric prince's. as 'notmyhome' stated "Anyway, it seems that Daedra can in fact have offspring." it's not that far fetched an idea that the the deadric prince's could consive an offspring for there own ends. for example Mehrunes Dagon once tried to enter the relm of Nirn from his plan of Oblivion. however in the books it has been stated that Deadric Princes have entered Nirn (Tamrial), however they are ristricted by there means of entry. in Skyrim, Nocternal only makes an appearance in one place. (can't spell the name, it's at the end of the thiefs guild place) my theory to this is that there power is linked to there plain of oblivion and that without a direct and substansial link (oblivion crisis) they cannot maintain a great ammount of power on nirn. however, a thought occured that the deadric artifacts can be sustained in Nirn and in fact spend hundreds of years in Nirn before mearly moving to another place of there own accord, even when destroyed they re-construct themselfs some time later.) the artifacts themself have a small ammount of the deadric Prince's power, but they can only influence the holder to there use. the artifacts are in essance a small amount of the deadric Prince's influence and power. but a weilder strong enouth can meary place them in a chest to be forgotten. but what if a portion of there power, with an ancor to Nirn, could think and act on it's own. that's were the deadric offspring idea sprung to mind. in greek mythos it's not uncommon (in my own oppinion seams to happen all the time.) the greek god sire children in mortals. so to clarify what i would like is a set of quest mods, where... you meet the offspring of a deadric prince. (i don't want it just out of the blue it would be good if the dragon born either witnesses something that kinda give it away or through investigation. e,g, the offspring of sheogorath could defete a group of bandits by first threatening to kill them with a butterfly. ehich they then turn in to a dragon (like they have the power of the wabbajack in there hand) and sick on the bandits.) you quest with them, something they want or require. you can stab them in the back if you so choose. (i mean who would want to completely help the child of Mehrunes Dagon.) or finish helping them and gain them as an ally. also one of the things i would like is that if you say help the child of Myridia who is the deadric prince of light and life, and have that child as a companion, you might have little to no choice but to fight the offspring of Namira the deadric prince of things disformed, desease and death. (althought i find Namira disgusting myself, it's an apt example.) now i'm not meaning all confontations would instantly resort to one trying to kill the other, but some conflicts would be of an extream nature that the dragonborn would have to side with.) finally it would be intresting if being on certain factions would play in to how the deadric children see you or even wish your help, some may go as far as wanting you dead if they realise who you work for. (for example Boethiah's child may compliment you on your acts in the dark brotherhood. while the child of Mehrunes Dagon might not take too kindly for you ending the Skyrim Civil war. in short meet deadric prince's offspring help them (or hinder) backstab or companion. factions and other deadric offspring could cause you to have to fight them outright.
  9. So, after playing morrowwind there was a subject that was never touched uppon, even though it was part of the lore. in morrowwind you were charged by moleg Bal to kill his daughter, while she was of the deadric realms it ran to mind that it is posible for a deadric prince to consive offspring. Further evidence implies that it is very possible since the deadric prince of madness sheogorath, was once a mortal (champion of chirodill) who bested the mad prince's couterpart. this got me thinking, in Skyrim, the new Sheogorath, looked like and acted like the old one with memories of the new. through much theory a thought came to mind, what if the fact that made the deadric princes who they were, wasn't there being but rather the power behind there being. using the hero of oblivion as an example. the hero can be any gender or race. but at the end of the shivering islands DLC they become the new sheogorath, the power of that prince has entered them. over time the power sees this mortal vessle as not befitting of the aspect of madness so it changes them, phisically and mentally, untill they are sheogorath. with that in mind i realised that the deadric princes could easily spawn offspring though another mortal. after reading up on greek and roman mythos an idea spring to mind. encountering the deadric offspring. each having a small ammount of there pairents power, and more so being controled by that power, as if it were part of there being. from there i thought, wouldn't it be awsome to goon quests for or against them depending on there power and who there deadric pairent is. for example if your a good knight encountering myridia's daughter, promising to help her clear out a lenthly dungion filled with all sorts of undead. but on the flip side, if your a necromancer, tricking her by agreeing to help her, clear out the undead castle, take the castle for your own and then betray her. even better, when betraying her you could use a quest related soul gem that would bring her back to life, but as an undead, that can't harm you and act as a follower. what do you think, might be an epic set of quest mods were your either for or against the deadric offspring.
  10. i can see were your coming from but the only devcent one i think conflicts with Complete crafting overhaul...
  11. fair enouth, as i said the legendary system just feals so unrewarding for what it gives and what is required of the player. it's like COD:MW's online, in that if you reached lvl 50, you could prestige, which reset everything and gave you a title, when i saw a 10th pristege (as high as you can go.) i thought "that person has alot of time on his hands to do so much for so little." while in MW2 you got an extra class slot per 2 prestiges, so it felt like the game gave you an "atta boy, welcome to the big boys club" for sacrificing all that you erned for an extra class loadout. i would just like a legendary system that gave me a perk that made me feal legendary for re-leaning all that i have lerned.
  12. as i stated before the legendary system feals repetative, sure you could get to level 999 but (without cheat mods or consol commands) how long would that take to do, even then how sick of that caracter would you get? you would have done everything plus keeping in mind the fact that after legendarying a skill once i got 4 to 5 levels, then 3 to 4, then 2 to 3 then 2 then 1 then half a level. that was just from blacksmithing. after that point i realised that even getting to level 100 would be a monumental streach of patiance with incredibly deminishing reward per play time. to level to legendary level 5 skill level 100 (600 skill levels) (without cheating via mods or consol commands) took me 4 days, thats because i had constantly grind the maritials to craft items to get the skill level it, it was not rewarding, i did not feal entertained, i felt i was waisting my time for all of 12 levels, which might seem like a lot but keep in mind after that i would have had to gain 100 skill levels twice to level up again. i then created some robes to 100% cost illusion magic and left the "guidence" spell on both triggers before going to work and watching TV for a day, (woke up at 7:30, started the game, got two rubber bands and set it to cast). to my supprise i realised after i looked at illusion 100 legendary 1 that it felt pointless and started a new character from scratch. you suggest that the legendary system is fine and you can reach lvl 999, that might take me a good few years of bordom, while on PC the alternative is player.advlevel (can reach lvl 999 alot faster) player.addperk <PerkID> (alternatively i could install the mod that exchanges dragon souls for perks, amazingly that gives me a resion to fight dragons. while in consol i rolled my eyes and thought, "ow joy another dragon, i only have 50 dragon souls and all the shouts unlocked") alternativly i could just use AdvSkill <AV> <#> using the vanilla legendary system is only for people who are hardcore complitinasts and even then it add nothing to really pull you back in beyond getting that legendary simbol below a skill. there's nothing that grips me to the game, or feals rewarding to getting an extra 100 levels, what i'm suggesting is a way to make the legendary system feal engaging at least for 5 legendary levels. now. taken in to consideration i can agree with 2,3,4, but unless you could (without consol commands or grinding.) reach skill level 100 legendary 5 (600 skill levels) and tell me your not board out of your mind, i think number 5 is a just reward for reaching that level of effort and hours played.
  13. firstly i'd like to start out i'm not to sure if there a mod like this but i couldn't find one. So when 1.9 came out i thought to myself that being able to redo a skill level would be intresting, 100 in blacksmithing and two levels later i thought it pointless. with all the mods that add perk points choosing to legendary up a skill feal like prestiging on COD4:MW, it was braging rights and felt silly. so, i would like a mod that ammends this fact, how? simple, when a person legendaries a mod it unlocks a perk tree that is hidden otherwise, there perks can only be unlocked at Legendary 1,2,3,4,5 with a skill level of 100 in there respective perk. for example a person who has reached a skill level of 100 in two handed twice would now find that if a shield, spell or even another weapon in there off hand that they can weild a two handed sword one handed, it would make some sence since if a person has weilded a two handed sword for that long it would feal weightless in there hand each perk would be better than the last but since it would require a further 100 skill levels to reach it would feal like a just reward. Idea's so far... Archery 1. zooming in now slows time to 90% 2. zooming in has a reduced stamina drain 3. 4. bows now weigh nothing when equiped 5. arrows now stagger all and will force a dragon to crash if flying. Block 1. bashing now has a chance to stagger 2. shield can now block all elemental damage 3. 4. weighs nothing when equiped 5. power bash now has a 90% of disarming. Heavy Armor 1. unarmed atacks have a chance to stagger 2. 3. 4. 25 points to carry weight per item of armor (it's like a second skin, not only dose it weight nothing but you feal more manuverable in hevey armor than without it.) 5. hevey armor now provides 2X the armor raiting. One-handed 1. 2. 3.less stamina per swing 4. weighs nothing 5. 30% faster swing speed Two handed 1. Can now weild a two handed sword one handed so long as it's with something else equiped 2. 3. less stamina per swing 4. weighs nothing 5. 50% swing speed Smithing a general increase of diffrent items each of the 5 perks effecting a catagory, dragonbone, stalrim and deadric last. Alchemy 1. 2. 3. potions and poinsions have Double values, (a potion that would heal 100 HP now heals 200 HP) 4. immune to poisions 5. can creat potions or poisions from 1 ingredient Light Armor 1. unarmed attacks are quicker 2. unarmed atacks have a chance to stagger 3. movement speed is increased while wearing boots gloves and chest. (unless circuits count as light armor.) 4. 25 points to carry weight per item of armor (it's like a second skin, not only dose it weight nothing but you feal more manuverable in light armor than without it.) 5. light armor now provides 1.5X the armor raiting. Lockpicking 1. Novice locks will always open in auto attempt, 2. Apprentice locks will always open in auto attempt, find twice as much gold. 3. Adept locks will always open in auto attempt, 100% greater chance of finding special treasure. 4. Pickpocket 1. +50% chance if target is asleep 2. pickpocketing gold almost always works 3. pickpocketing keys will work 100% of the time. 4. 5. Sneak 1. noise from armor is reduced by 100% 2. 3. 4.increased movement speed 5.you naturally turn invisible when sneeking and out of sight. Speech 1. 50% bartering of the opposite sex 2. Can invest 2500 gold with a shopkeeper to increase their available gold permanently 3. Persuasion attempts are 50% easier 4. Intimidation is 5X as successful 5. Every merchant in the world gains 25000 gold for bartering Alteration 1. 2. doubles the duration of all alteration spells. 3. absorb alteration spells 4. the user has gained an unlimited ammount of water breathing 5. Alteration spells cost nothing Conjuration 1. 2. 3. 4. absorb (and dispell if posible) conjuration spells. 5. conjuration spells cost nothing Destruction 1. 2. Destruction spells ignore X amount of resistance. 3. X% change to stagger with missle spells. 4. X% elemtal resistance 5. Destruction spells cost nothing (edited, suggestion by FinalHazard) illusion 1. 2. 3. 4.illusions spells work on higher level opponent (+20 levels) 5. illusion spells cost nothing restoration 1. Wards that are cast absorb 100% of magicka that hits them. 2.Wards that are cast will also heal the user from the damage that hits them 3.Wards that are cast will also regenerate the stamina of user from the damage that hits them 4.Wards that are cast absorb have 5 times the damage threashhold. 5. Restoration spells cost nothing enchanting 1. enchantments are twice as strong 2. double the number of uses to any one enchantment. 3. Death blows to creatures, but not people, trap 50% of the victim's soul, recharging the weapon 4. Death blows to people, trap 5% of the victim's soul, recharging the weapon 5. put 4 enchantments insted of one. also, yes i am aware some of these suggestions are just re-hashed old vanilla perks, some skills arn't as interesting as others. these are just ideas of what i think would be a worthy reward to going from 15 to 100 back to 15 and back to 100 again.
  14. ow, were thinking to small. nirn is a world of magic, and unstable magic at that, and to top it of we've only seen a fraction due to the size of Tamriel as a whole. rather than using the Skyrim worldspace, why not have some elabirate quest, that takes you to a distant land, through the mists to the north. only to awaken in a cell, once again as fates puppet. not knowing how you arrive in that place, or even how to return to the land of skyrim. rather than trying to fight the bosses the chosen undead faced, why not try to follow his or her footsteps, picking the peices and note to find out what happened as you go. alternativly you could arrive in lordran, before the events of Darksouls, to see it's last gasps as the curse of the undead choaks the world to it's core.
