Not really a spoiler, but I figured it'd do best here. Sorry if this is the wrong sub-forum. NOTE: This isn't a major story-line thing (as far as I know). However, I do wanna know what others did in this predicament. ____________ To put a long story short, Erik is the son of Mralki, owner of Rorikstead Inn. Now, so many years later, Erik has been raised to a young man, and wishes to journey out into the world. He craves it. Yearns it. Needs it. His father, knowing all sorts of hells and the like, says no. Your job is to convince the father or the son that the other is in the right. On a personal level, I couldn't decide for about a year of playing this game. I did both sides of their little conflict just to see what they'd have to say, but went no further. As of tonight, I convinced Mralki to allow Erik to become an adventurer. I understand that Mralki wants Erik to be safe, but in the world they live in, that's not possible. Either you search for trouble, or trouble searches for you. I still feel a pang of regret for having Erik leave the town. His spirit is strong, but he's a farmer, not a warrior. Don't worry, Mralki. I'll keep your son safe, or die trying. Twice or more, if I must. P.S. I suppose you could feel a sort of conflict with any character going out into the world to fight alone/alongside you. Did you ever find a character that actually caused you to stop and think if they really should be journeying through Skyrim? EDIT: ty Ishara for the correction. I can't believe I messed that up. Guess I was still thinkin' about Rorik and his close friend, Jouanne Manette's stories.
