  1. Terrible thing to reply to an old topic but... it's too much stimulating. Of course I replicate myself into Skyrim. Surely, I think it's perfectly fine to immerse yourself in a whole another character. But, if videogames are a form of art, there must be some philosophical implications that can be brought into real life. In my case, not only I am still quite young, so I look realistic in Dovahkiin's clothes, but I also find that - for me - the purpose of traveling through Skyrim is to bring as much as I can of that version of myself into the real world. Expanding the concept: no, I can't perform magic with my hands, but I can (actually, I love) reading and studying hard a lot of subjects, and I always do experiments of all kinds at home. From this perspective, my character motivates me to pursue the potential of my personality. At the same time, a lot of other qualities that Skyrim requires me to have, are things that I can put/improve in my real personality traits. It's because of Skyrim that I've learnt to focus more properly on weekly objectives - they're similar to quests -, and it's because of Skyrim that I started to work out (because my character was fit); now I can proudly say that I am fit. And for the other races, the trick is the same: if I were a very agile person (which I am not), with fast hands, I would have chosen a Kahjit, if I were a strong guy with a lot of energy, I would have chosen an Orc and so on... For me, this possibility to clarify my life's path using a fictional land full of epic is an outstanding opportunity and a spiritual revelation.
  2. Thank you for your answer. I don't know if it's only my issue, but RaceMenu does not allow me to control 1st person camera: during character creation or via cc, I can't see myself from 1st person, so I've always used "camera" setting as an utility tool to rotate or zoom. In fact, even if I go all the way up with the RaceMenu camera, I see no difference at all when I talk to someone.
  3. Hi everyone, As the title says, I am striving to fix that unbearable inconsistency. I tried some mods, and the only one that "worked" for me was Player Size Adjuster; the problem with PSA is that it's not correctly aligned with eye sight, and it tends to reset when I sleep or wait. Someone suggested to adjust the bug manually using a .nif skeleton mod: how can I do that? Obviously, if someone has a better mod to suggest, it would be appreciated. Thank you all
  4. Thank you all for your kind responses. Yes, I was referring to ENB lights, as Algabar pointed out. Interior Exterior Brightness seems a very good idea. I think I'll firstly try to tweak some light settings from the ENB Helper; my only concern is it's possible to maintain a good level of warmth for braciers and torches. I will update Thanks
  5. Hello everyone, Strict to the point: I'm running Semirealis ENB for Cathedral Weathers, Cathedral Weathers, ELE, Relighting Skyrim. Daytime lights are perfectly balanced and awesome. Nights are instead too bright: not so bright to look weird, but still very unrealistic (I live in the Alps, so I am quite aware of what it means to be around at night in a northern landscape - or worse, in a forest). I tried to use the Cathedral "power" for darkening nights, but they were still too bright; then I tried to install Darker Nights, but it had no effect (or at least non-noticeable). The effect I'm looking for is the same as Realistic Nights mod for Oldrim (it seems very strange to me that nobody ported it). Any suggestions? Maybe some kind of .ini tweaks? Thank you all
  6. Hello everyone, I got this strange bug after I've installed Armor Weapons Clothes Clutter Fixes, and its patch for Cutting Room Floor. During the initial scene, Ralof is wearing is typical Stormcloack armor, but has also a buggy version of the roughspun tunic "under" the main armor. SSEdit doesn't detect any error, and after carefully checking my current load order (which is quite short at the moment), I didn't see any incompatibilities between any of my mods. Any idea? Thank you all
  7. Hello everyone, Pretty self-explanatory. This Oldrim mod was fantastic, because allowed to have good looking feet without adding the ultra soft skin effect - which does not fit well with the thoughness of Skyrim in my opinion.
  8. For any modder of good will, All the actual robes mods and outfit for mages are not so lore-friendly, while Opulent Outfits are simply... well, opulent, as supposed to. The best textures for the College robes are in the Oldrim mod "Mage Outfit Texture Overhaul" by Alexandriel, but the actual SE port has quite a few compatibility problems and a dirty esp. If anyone could be so kind, he/she could make a big favour to all the hardcore lore-friendly mages around here  Thanks
  9. My dream mod is an optimal, automated fixing tool for all possible conflicts :D Jokes apart, I would say a fully customizable, no-need-for-patch version of Heights of Skyrim, perfectly integrated with a functioning First Person Adjustable Camera... And, of course, a working SE/AE version of Camping Kit of the Northern Ranger by tek_7
  10. Just for the sake of brainstorming, even if at 99.9% it's not your issue... it could be a mouse/keyboard problem. It happened to me 7-8 years ago: it turned out that the devices were partly broken and not compatible with the Skyrim detection system. Otherwise, the best thing would probably be to perform a system restoration or to reinitialize the whole machine.
  11. This is an extremely detailed and clever answer. Thank you! Yeah, I think I'll be cautious as I was back in the days, because it's crucial to "catch the guilty mods" as soon as possible. Thanks
  12. Hello everyone, Last week, after downloading Skyrim SE from Steam, I noticed that that my version is 1.6.353.0 Does it correspond to AE? And, above all, may this cause problems if I download mods deisgned for the Anniversary Edition? I took for granted that I had the latest version (since I downloaded it recently), but now I'm not so sure. Furthermore, there are many mods designed for a generic 1.6+ version, so I don't know if this makes any difference. Thank you
  13. Hello everyone, What are the recommended settings before starting to add (tons of) mods? Back on Oldrim, I used to leave all at Ultra and simply disable the Antialiasing, but in SE/AE there are several other options in the Advanced settings (Screen Space Reflections, Snow Shader ecc...). What do you recommend? At the moment, I'm using an RTX 3060 Thanks
