  1. Yeah, the greed is frustrating. Not only is the staff's creativity not being fully utilised to generate of the kind of game we want to play, it only took them a week to do all that when the patches they released couldn't even fix the existing issues and introduced new ones. Net result is, we get a crapper game and they're holding back a better game for slow-release, chargeable DLC. I hope the modding community beats them to it and does it better.
  2. Just having a run around with Jenassa. Made her a blade so I don't have to give her money everytime I leave her and get her back. I was pretty bummed I couldn't get Karliah to hang out with me... Jenassa's a pretty good stand-in, dark elf, great sneak, dual wields and looks hot in the Triss armour pack... best companion for me so far. I was really bugged that Aela never wolfed out in combat, I even married her on my first playthrough cause I got all excited at the prospect of running around with her in secret as a werewolf, cuddling up together as wolves beneath 2 full moons and waking up as people again... sadly, no dice and all those creepy erotic possibilities remain fantasies... till the CK comes out :D
  3. http://www.nodiatis.com/pub/15.jpg Woohoo! Neatly dodged that Alcoholic label XD
  4. Sounds like Lydia needs to work on her rabbit swim-coaching technique as well as her obvious floor trap avoidance skills.
  5. Hilarious. The Old West pianola/barfight music totally makes it. How did you drop everything all at once like that? Looked like a medieval pinada bursting.
  6. You just have to get creative with what you do with the corpses and it gets fun all over again. I laid out Ulfric and his General on the long banquet table all the evicted Jarl's dudes spend all day eating at, because I feel that they haven't suffered enough from my cold-hearted betrayal. But first I made a weird old jarl-new jarl hybrid. That was freaky. http://skyrimnexus.com/imageshare/image.php?id=29012 For a while there I was piling up dead thieves in the forge in Riften, but then I patched and they disappeared. I had quite a collection too. All that hard work for nothing!
  7. Haha, It took 10 doors or so until I realized that! Until then I was brute forcing all combinations (it are only 27, so no big deal anyway) Makes me wonder, who ever designed the doors - what did they think would be the benefit of this? 27 Combinations? Where the combo is written on the key you need anyways??? Took me about 30min to figure that out. I decided to read the journal from the guy who had the claw. It said, "those who hold the key have the answers in their hands". So basically, the answer was on the key. I know, it's like writing your locker combination on the locker. I mean, why make a puzzle door at all if you're only going to write it on the key? Why not just use a doorknob? Draugr logic. No wonder they're all dead :P
  8. Puzzle doors and puzzle claws share pictures... examine the claw in your inventory window if you're stumped
  9. There's this quest from a Daedra based out of a temple near Solitude that's on-theme for a monster hunter and will give you a nice monster hunting prize :) http://elderscrolls.wikia.com/wiki/The_Break_of_Dawn as others have said Aela's radiant quests are on-theme, and jarls frequently ask you to take out giants and dragons, though sometimes it's just some bandit. There's a bit of supernatural hoohah going on in and around Morthal and Dawnstar that might be up your alley, and once you have helped them establish themselves the Blades are keen for a bit of dovahkin on dovah action. But as others have said... no opportunity to join the silver hand. No vampire hunting faction. No city-based industrial types keen for the eliminaton of all spriggans and their crystal clear ponds. No delving into Falmer caverns to recover crucial alchemical ingredients and artefacts. Where is that Creation Kit anyhow?
  10. So on a recent playthrough I got my nightingale on and after seeing Nocturnal's awesome bird-related summoning I had a real hankering to have one or two to perch on my shoulder, fetch arrows, catch and feed on Skyrim's plentiful insects and (as Diablo II had it) peck out the eyes of my enemies. They could be free moving npcs with targets for perching on you similar to dragon perches like towers and word walls. Is anyone aware of anything like this being built already, or were there similar ideas already implemented in oblivion etc that could be ported over? This is something I'd love to see and - if it hasn't already been done - get going myself. Any other suggestions?
  11. I would LOVE to see a Song of Ice and Fire mod. I'm thinking a prequel to Game of Thrones based around Robert Baratheon's rebellion so as not to make it too predictable in terms of storyline - though there's plenty to play with in and around the main storyline - I really like HBO's approach of showing things that were less explored in the books to retain freshness for fans. There's plenty of room for experimentation in Dorne, Oldtown and in the East with Danaerys too. A prequel would have a lot more dragon involvement, and be VERY epic. And like you say, there's a lot of overlap going on north of the wall with giants and mammoths and shadowcats, oh my! XD I'd love to write and maybe do some modelling and world building. And I say - don't adapt Skyrim, Westeros needs to be made itself! There are plenty of very detailed maps in the books to build on.
  12. From an RP perspective, I really would have liked to see more wolf-shifting from the companions in combat when you have them tagging along as followers. I would have dealy loved to run around with my wife Aela, wolfing it up in the wild, returning to human skins and the city as day breaks. The reality of skyrim marriage - especially to someone who the game depicted as 'werewolf and loving it' but who would attack you if you changed with her around, was deeply disappointing for me...
  13. Yeah I find DW very frustrating to play in Skyrim, not only assigning weapons to keys but also because it's the only weapon style with no block or parry option - which is crazy since it's such a crucial part of the real life technique. If you assign different weapons on different keys it just swaps them out in the right hand, so either way you have to jump in and out of the favourites or inventory. It's such a shame because it looks so damn cool. I love duel wielding in RPGs, I almost always pick a class or playstyle that will let me dual wield at least for my first playthrough. The mad inventory hopping would be easily solved if you could save combos to hotkeys.
