  1. You should have a look at Oblivion again ;) I can run halfway into Elsweyr before the trees and grass start disappearing. I can even make it all the way to the coast of Skyrim.
  2. Why's everyone so crazed about this? It's been the same in Oblivion. It's simly there so that when you look out from a mountain you can actually see that there's a world beyond.
  3. That wouldn't work now, would it? You don't have any attributes, new skills and perks. All you could do is cheat yourself perk points and try to recreate your char.
  4. Realy? I already visited 8 big towns, bought my first house (for 5000 of gold). But I can not see any type of armor rack/armor mannequin =(. Will it be posible to buy any number of armor rack/armor mannequin and put these racks/mannequin in any place? You get them in the more expensive houses and the number is limited. I think its 2 in the Riften house, 1 in the Markrath house. Not sure about the rest.
  5. If you're lucky there's gonna be a Deadly Reflex mod for Skyrim as there was for Oblivion.
  6. In general seeing more of the other races would be nice. A wandering circus of performers of different races would be cool.
  7. You realize that those are already in the game right?
  8. Honestly this sounds quite difficult. I remember the attempts at multiplayer Oblivion and Morrowind (both of them a working beta) so I assume something like this will be easier than full-fledged multiplayer. However, if someone goes through the hassle of doing it is quite a different topic.
  9. You can wait for the letter or you can start the quest yourself beforehand by going to the same place that the letter will tell you to go. Problem is knowing the place beforehand
  10. She walks along the docks randomly, just wait around a bit. Afterwards you'll need to complete 5 quests for other people in the city (that benefit the citizens, so not thieves guild) and she'll say you can become Thane now and buy a house.
  11. Is there a way to spoiler tag in this? Ah well, this is the Spoiler forum and I'm only gonna give a hint. Dawnstar.
  12. All the dragon priests carry a unique mask. Bringing all masks together does something (haven't gotten all yet so I cant tell you what), but you gotta take them to a specific location near the Meruns Dagon Shrine (find it yourself  )
  13. That'll have to wait till the Creation Kit is released.
  14. It can relate to any disease you got. Check your Active Effects tab so see if you've got any and just pray at a shrine to get rid of it.
  15. Well first things first. The Construction Kit for Skyrim isn't out yet. However you could start by learning how to Model and Texture for now. Download a trial of Maya and Photoshop (or alternatively get the free programs Gimp and Blender) and look at some tutorials. That way you'll learn how to make your own weapons/textures/models etc. Also, you can have a look at the Oblivion Construction Kit (I dont think too much is gonna change)
  16. They should be compatible, but I'd advise installing detailed Faces after No More Blocky Faces. Also, yes they work retroactively and affect every female in the game.
  17. Modified my .ini right after release. Still getting achievements
  18. You could just go to the Shrine of Azura. I think you'll get Azura's Star as in all TES games.
  19. Hey everyone, is it possible to increase the bloom effect through the .ini? I've been looking through it but couldn't find which value to change. Thanks in advance!
  20. It's a great game. Some minor flaws that'll be fixed by mods. Everyone's complaining about the UI yet I don't find it that bad. If you get used to navigating it with WASD its actually quite fast.
  21. You don't have a high end gpu silly. For a start it is a m and it's somewhere in the mid range. Assume you have something like a 470s in sli, 580, or 6950/6970. The point isn't that he doesn't have a high-end GPU. He's running the game on ultra and the processor usage is 70% which contradicts the statement that the processor is a major bottle-neck in Skyrim.
  22. To buy the house in Riften you gotta do the Skooma Quest first. Head down to the docks and look for an argonian girl. You can start the quest through her.
  23. Mine is similar, my processor isn't being used to it's full extend. I think it also isn't making use of all four cores though I gotta doublecheck that sometime.
  24. This whole test seems wrong (most probably they only tested it with a few computers). I'm running it with a 560Ti and a Phenom II at 3.2 Ghz at Ultra (even modified the .ini for higher shadow and reflection resolutions) getting far more than 30 fps. A friend of mine on the other hand uses a 6850 and an i7 running at 3.5Ghz and he has to run the game on High to get decent frames. I think the problem lies in the fact that Skyrim seems to act up randomly, some people can run the game fine with the same hardware that other people can't.
