  1. Girls play Skyrim? I'm NOT talking about your sister in this: I always thought girl gamers were social outcasts and fat kids who didn't fit in so they seeker attention in the gaming world. I do happen to remember seeing that you'd been warned by several members of the staff to knock it off with the snarky remarks and starting things up. Sayonara! -DW
  2. I like em rare. That way they're actually special.
  3. umm wasnt morrowind a dunmer province? Yes. Oblivion and Skyrim are two imperial/nord in a row. It's elf time
  4. No kidding. Sheesh. I think t was intended. Obvious spoiler is obvious So you quoted it? Edited to add spoiler tags. -mm
  5. Doubt it. I'm saying land of the wood elves. Oh yes...I can just see it...a suitable transition. Think: we've had 2 imperial/nord provinces In a row...Bethesda will do an elves province I'll bet. Summerset? Woodelves? Who knows
  6. ^^^ It has no classes and other stats THAT streamlined oblivion and morrowind. No classes and stats in character gen make for a more free playing. Sure you don't put a label on it and say "I'm a ......" but it's all still doable...without an official seal. And the NPC's have more depth. There's marriage and companionship and so much. Al hough I do feel a loss of dialogue over morrowind, most of that dialogue was just a stretch of what could've been said in a few sentences like in Skyrim. Oblivion's npc system was absolutely lifeless however.
  7. How drastic is the performance hit? Is it like a 10 or 5 FPS loss?
  8. And purists have no place in future elder scroll games lol. Purists exist in every franchise. Basically you must realize that just because it isn't morrowind or whichever was the franchise favorite, it isn't bad. Now we say morrowind had more depth. Okay...so rocks and mushrooms give you more depth than intricate environments? **crickets creaking** There's depth if you look for it, there's flaws if you look for em. I could assault morrowind right now. Sample: nothing but brown bland landscape with the same old snails called 10 different creatures. Bah what a streamlined game no dual wielding tiny creatures, magic was so streamlined, fire didn't stay, frost didn't slow enemies down. Morrowind sucks. If you think that sounded stupid it's no different from what people assaulting Skyrim are saying. Morrowind i enjoyed a lot, but the point is pessimism will find flaws in anything.
  9. Saved people the time of reading it and get the gist quickly. No you just disagree with my posts so you feel the urge to troll... On topic: the healing spell is still there and very cheap IMo. It's easymode to put it in one hand, wear an amulet and ring with restoration bonuses, a couple restoration perks, and good to go. Just hold down heal while you hack away. But the combos make up for the loss of creditable spells. And anyways: what would've you made anyways? Invisible paralysis spells? I think Beth made up for not being able to morph spells by letting us morph combos. So instead of having a spell to do 2 things you just equip those two spell effects.
  10. Ozzy Osbourne: "I'm just a dwemer! I craft my life away, I'm just a dwemer, who dreams of elder scrolls games" -the dreamer(dwemer)
  11. @pavelkcz You heard the mod. Stop trolling and let's get on topic. Bu y'all ought to see the battlefield forums. You'd have to break some sort of real life law to get report there. Here I must be careful when saying the word stupid. Anyways: I havent made a mage character of any sort yet. Nor gone to t he college of winterhold. As it is it isn't in the game...this disappoints me. It's not dumbed down it's simply...gone. That does blow. But Bethesda must've had some sort of reason. Think about it: why would bethesda get rid of spell makin just because? There's gotta be a reason.
  12. Well...if spell MAKING isn't in Skyrim then I shall agree...if it is then I don't see how you can't sit and devise magic in Skyrim...the magic works fast, but theres still some thinking of combos to be done. For example: dual spells seems like a very "yeah whatever cool feature" thing, but it opens up new possibilities to change things much. You can have a custom staff with a custom spell and think of possibilities all day long what with the many spells in Skyrim. Frost spells slow enemies down, fire stays, there are many very in depth things in magic of Skyrim to consider. Assuming spell making is in the game...oblivion's wasn't too crazy either. Even if it isn't: still so many spell combos and styles of use to be had. If spell making isn't in the game I'd imagine someone will make a good mod for it, where you can change size and appearance.
  13. @pavelkcz If you had a good point to make you'd make it. Lol I've played rpg games as much as you have and understood magic as much as you have. Now tell me why you think skyrim's magic is streamlined. Oh right...you won't...because you don't have a reason. you'll use the "I can't waste my time on you" card. And I want to be as educated as DG so: Sincerely, Goliath978 I feel smarter already. I'm serious.
  14. So what are these "other open world games"? Minecraft?
