  1. Hi all, I'm tempted to get a 1440p 21:9 ultrawide monitor, does Skyrim SE stretch/scale to fill that monitor size without too much hassle? I've read a little bit of old info about changing ini files as a temporary fix, & also there is a mod called ultrawide fix. Does anyone out there play on ultrawide, how does it go? Ty.
  2. That's something I'm now wondering, whether to go for a 16:9 1440 widescreen like the one above or one of these 1440 Ultrawidescreen monitors, which are 23:9 I think. https://www.amazon.es/Acer-Predator-Z35-Monitor-UW-QHD/dp/B06XNN23KL/ref=sr_1_4?__mk_es_ES=%C3%85M%C3%85%C5%BD%C3%95%C3%91&keywords=Acer+Predator+Z35&qid=1561572507&s=gateway&sr=8-4 Looks nice, g-sync too.
  3. FYI, I'm now looking at this : https://www.amazon.es/gp/product/B07D2VFL34/ref=ox_sc_act_title_1?smid=A1AT7YVPFBWXBL&psc=1 The above AOC one has 144hz refresh, 4ms, freesync, 1440 res. It's not 4k & not ultrawide - from what I've been reading/looking at the resolution on the LG one is a little low for Ultrawide. One big surprise re the GPU though, is that I found new RTX2080s on Amazon.de for 350 euros (!) I've ordered one, delivery should be 040719 to 230719 - provided it's not a scam, that's a sort of "it fell off the back of a lorry" price, so a slight concern. I suspect I'll buy the 32" 1440 above, nice price, there is at least one favourable review of it (on Toms Hardware iirc) & I don't fancy blowing double the price on a top notch monitor when I'm not entirely sure what I want, but am sure anything will be a major step up form the 27" 1080p I'm on atm. Suspect I'll need a new desk next
  4. Hi all, I used to play oldrim heavily modded with lots of 4K textures, an ENB, loads of mod etc on a 980TI. It was not bad, rarely below 30 fps even in cities, otherwise around 60fps. But, my monitor then & now only does 1920 x 1080. So, I now guess I wasn't really getting much or as much as possible from many of the graphic mods I'd installed (it still looked amazing though). Anyway, my 980TI died (PSU went & took it out) & for years since then I've been on my even older noisy R9 290, so not playing Skyrim (I know could have, just, but with far fewer mods - too painful a drop). Now I'm looking to upgrade, monitor & GPU, get into Skyrim SE. Budget allows a Vega 64 (a good bit better than the 980TI) & about 500 pounds on a monitor. The Vega 64 won't I understand reliably do 4K gaming, I can't afford a 2080/2080TI - crazy prices, I refuse to pay such. 32" or 34" 2560 X 1440 monitors with pretty good specs (100ghz/1 ms/freesync) come in around or some well below 500 pounds, or I could get a cheap 34" 4K monitor with relatively poor specs, 60ghz 4ms refresh). Which would you recommend? If I were to go for a cheaper 4K monitor would that be a bit of a waste as my Vega 64 wouldn't be able to power it (or only barely) at 4k?
