If you can get to the destination before light gets there, you are effectively getting there before the information transmitted by light can. I don't see why there needs to be. If what you really mean is "time travel", there is no point in further convoluting the situation with additional, technical jargon. It is intrinsically understood the methodology can be different. It's like the physical concept of work; it's accomplished in many ways, but if you only knew the end result, you are blind to the underlying process, which isn't necessary to further manipulate the result.
