  1. I heard it playing in a cafe a few days ago, made me suspect it may be some classical music, rather than an original creation for the game?
  2. Hi folks, I've got a huge array of female clothing for my npcs using UNP Merchants, well, a lot of it is technically armour I suppose, but nothing really apart from Ashara's Romantic Outfit for my own toon. Any suggestions for male clothing mods? Something not quite so primitive as retextures of the vanilla clothing.
  3. I run Helgen , Falskaar, Wyrmstooth & (via Legacy of the Dragonborn) Moonpaths to Elswyr. I get the occasional CTD, but mostly that's around Whiterun so I suspect related to other mods & the graphics/npc load (improved noticeably when I gave up on uGrids 7 & went down to 5). I've yet to explore Falskaar & Moonpaths, but have ran through Wyrsmtooth & Helgen Reborn (at uGrids 7 with my probably crappy mod setup) without any problem.
  4. Ugh, must have been something in my setup then. Card was so noisy it sounded as though it was about to fly out of the case too.
  5. Check with some tech forums, but last time I was reading up on monitors/gpus I think the view was a 970 wouldn't really do 4k. It's still a good card though, fps will depend on how much you try to get it to do, ENB plus tons of graphical mods will make it struggle. I was using an AMD 290 or 390 (forget which, it was the AMD near but worse competitor of the 970), got 20-30 fps with a lot of stuttering & the odd crash using ENB plus a ton of mods. Gameplay was frustratingly bad - 'course, part of that may have been my bad application of mods, I'm sure some people will be more stable. Went to a 980TI (joy) & with an ENB & a two tons of mods am getting 60-30 fps, an occasional stutter when a new grid loads/I spin in place, & a very occasional crash. It's far far better than the old card, game's enjoyable. I'm sure some will say a 970 will give you good fps (depending on how well you mod/how ambitious you are), if you've got a decent non 4k monitor at the moment you might want to think about not spending on a monitor & putting the cash toward a 980TI instead. For me, AMD card to 980TI was a huge difference.
  6. Dropping from uGrids 7 back to uGrids 5 helped my Whiterun ctd rate a lot (haven't crashed for the past couple of days at all in fact, though fps still takes an occasional nose-dive around Whiterun).
  7. Thanks very much all, I suspect it'll be a choice between Dragonstead & Skyfall Estate. (I'll definitely go Skyfall if I can fix up the wreck of the Aston Martin outside).
  8. Thanks - looks good, but it's a bit more than I need though, plus, no idea if it has auto sort & auto fill at crafting stations.
  9. Hi folks, I've been happily using Elysium Estate for a few weeks, but unfortunately (?!) have just seen Legacy of the Dragonborn has much better storage/display :) So, plan on soon to begin next playthrough is to use that for display, meaning my other needed home is just for crafting. I'm looking at Rayek's End Revisited ... it seems to have very nice features for auto sort of loot & auto fill of materials at crafting stations & it's unobtrusive/hidden. It currently lacks much spouse/adoption support. Has anyone any recommended alternatives?
  10. :) So, I think I've found a mix* that just about does the trick. I uninstalled Immersive/Deadly Wenches, installed ASIS, plus some INI files for it, Higher Level Enemies SIC version, Duel, & also Immersive Potions (which stops health potion spam). With already installed ACE, SPERG, Skyrim Immersive Creatures, Revenge of the Enemies, Deadly Dragons & Deadly Monsters there's (at times) a good challenge at lvl 62. Incidentally, I also dropped uGrids to load from 7 to 5. I've had about 5 hours playing today (with all those additions above too), not a single CTD. *Perhaps not so much a mix, as an "everything that's mutually compatible" :p
  11. Wish I knew this myself, though I suspect the unwelcome answer boils down to fewer mods/scripts/lower graphics. There's a prevent infinite loading screen mod of some sort, I've that installed somewhere. Going into a simple shop is pretty quick (5-10 secs), exiting it into say Whiterun, or exiting a city into Skyrim itself, takes about a minute, in my (doubtless less than optimal) setup. (4ghz intel PC, SSD, 6mb 980TI CPU vs Realvision ENB full version, Tamriel Reloaded HD 4k version, interesting npcs & inconsequential npcs, plus a ton of other mods).
  12. Hi all, I've got Trade & Barter on, plus More interesting Loot for Skyrim, & find I'm rolling in money very quickly (lvl 61 atm, but never had any real money problems from the outset of the game). It also strikes me as a bit unrealistic that there are gold septims everywhere, rather than iron or copper coins. Can anyone recommend mods making cash a real challenge? Anyone know of a mod to change the currency away from the gold standard? (Might be difficult given 600 gold coins gets you a gold bar). I'm considering Scarcity Less Loot, have also seen some mod which increases food prices, & I know there are some mods which can restrict carry weight (plus I could edit this I think via one of the community uncapper or sperg), which would stop me stripping every dungeon bare unless desperate enough to make multiple retrieval trips.
  13. MO has the install from archive option if you still have your mods saved somewhere, if not you'll have to download them individually (might not be a bad thing as you may get updated/better versions) ... took me a couple of weeks last time I did it, the downloads themselves were pretty quick (with a few exceptions).
  14. "Neckseams" is I think what you might want to look into. Not bothered to read all the way through the posts sorry. In my game, Interesting NPCs, Inconsequential NPCs & Immersive Wenches all adding npcs I find virtually all the npcs are perfectly fine - apart from a very few with young looking pinkish bodies & a darker toned older head texture. I can't be bothered to fix those few myself.
  15. Hi folks, After about 6 weeks I've got to lvl 61 but covered very little of the game content, & am finding the combat very easy indeed. I've been using Sperg (with 1 perk per every 2 levels), ACE, Deadly Dragons, Deadly Wenches, Revenge of the Enemies. Despite these, it's still got too easy now, though it was a challenge until about lvl 55 maybe. (I've set difficulties level to Master, makes no difference). Next playthrough/remodding I'd like a longer lasting challenge. Would the hardcore settings of SPERG plus turning off auto perks on it, using ACE & adding Duel (seems to be designed to work with ACE) make much of a difference or would you recommend other mods to improve AI/difficulty? There's a confusion of choices available ... Morrowloot? Skyrim Unleashed? High level Enemies? ASIS? OBIS? I'm a bit wary of the more radical options of Skyre or Requiem, want to avoid those. Anyway recommendations?
