  1. If my research is accurate, Oblivion and Fallout 3/New Vegas both run on similar engines. I'm not aware of the date Oblivion was produced, before or after Fallout 3, but Fallout 3 does use the Over-the-shoulder camera. Maybe that can be a bit of help? Edit: Fallout 3 was released after Oblivion. My mistake.
  2. So, say I'm not using BOSS. Would there be a difference if I actually used it, in this situation in particular?
  3. Ah, I see. What about the issues with the non-mergeable mods? Have you looked into that yet?
  4. I've read up on the Bashed Patches on readme.html, and I've tried creating a bashed patch on my own. After copying the "Bashed Patch, Oblivion" from the templates to the Data folder, I opened up Wrye Bash and ticked the mods that I wanted to be implemented into the Bashed Patch. But to my surprise, a window popped up showing the other mods that can be put into the Bashed Patch, though I didn't tick them. Is this supposed to happen? I tried right-clicking on the mods, xeoex (The beauty mod) and MAO, and marking them as Mergeable. But to my dismay, it states that they can not be Mergeable due to some reason. There's a problem.
  5. I've read the Readme for Wrye Bash, but I'm still confused as to how to actually use it. There are so many possible things to do with Wrye Bash, that it all just jumbles up in my brain and confuses me. Let's try and take this step by step. Firstly, what does Wrye Bash do, exactly? Second, what is a Bashed Patch?
  6. Ahh, how disappointing. Well, I'm looking forward to any further mods you may create. Good luck in your future endeavors.
  7. Thank you, Keirgarth. I'll repost on this topic when I have any further concerns or questions.
  8. I would try using a Bashed Patch, but I don't know my away around Wrye Bash. If you could provide me with a way to learn how to use Wrye Bash, and how to fix this problem, that would be most gratifying. Is Wrye Bash kind of like FO3Edit for Fallout 3?
  9. I've played Oblivion using Deadly Reflex 5, and Mayu's Animation Overhaul. For those who don't know, Deadly Reflex is a combat mod, which associates different methods of fighting into the combat system of Oblivion. When custom animations are used with Deadly Reflex, it looks amazing. Mayu's Animation Overhaul is a mod that changes the animation file paths of NPC's, so your NPC's can have their Vanilla animations while you have your awesome Deadly Reflex animations. Now, I've been using DR and MAO for a while now, with no problems. But I've found some problems when trying to use Beautification Mods. Apparently, beautification mods will conflict with the MAO mod, thus causing the Beauti-fied NPC's to use the Custom Animations once again. Is there a way to fix this problem? I've heard of trying to use Bash, but I'm not very good at Scripting and Modding. If you can help, I would really appreciate it.
  10. By the way, I've checked out some of your Mods, and I want to know if you take requests. Do you do BBB conversions of custom animations?
  11. I'm guessing that these settings can be changed by OBSE, correct? Well, I don't know very much about the Script Editor, so I don't think I would personally play around with these things.
  12. Ini definitions and Global Variables? Where is this "FChase3rdPersonZUnitsPerSecond" located, exactly?
  13. So I've been hitting up Google recently, searching all over the inter-webs for a Third-Person camera mod that changes the Vanilla Oblivion 3rd-person camera to something like the Gears Of War camera. To my dismay, there are only mods that change the First-Person camera to a 3rd-Person GOW camera. Having two Third-person cameras isn't a great way to play Oblivion, now is it? I don't know much about modding, but I know enough information to install mods, and troubleshoot, but I've never learned enough about modding to create my own mods. I've played around with the TES Construction Set a couple of times, but I've only found that my mods never work. But that isn't the problem here. I'm looking for a mod that changes the Third-Person camera, from having the cursor directly behind the character's head, to a camera that is "Over the shoulder." If someone could create such a mod, I would be very thankful. Bumping is against the rules. If we allow indiscriminate bumping then the first several pages of every forum would be nothing but bump bump bump. You get a strike for not reading the rules and all of your bumps removed. Bben46.
