  1. I have no idea what is causing this, and I can't find ANYONE with the same problem with me, but my glitch is something like this: Around the time my character reaches 20 (give or take, it's not exact), I will be in combat and any random thing will cause my character to soar into the air wildly as a ragdoll. A skeever might nibble on my boots, and WEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE there I go! Sometimes, I'll even ragdoll myself because I casted a spell -_- Idk what's causing it and why it always starts after my character has progressed. Obviously, a mod is causing this, but frankly I have way too many mods that alter combat. The simple solution would be a mod that ELIMINATES ragdoll effects on the player, but to my great dismay, no one has actually made a mod that gets rid of player ragdoll? Is this because there's another way to eliminate it? Any advice would be appreciated!!!! This glitch has ruined my skyrim experience over and over!
  2. hey everyone, just a quick question that is seriously agitating me. I'll be brief. I'm using the morpher in 3ds max to make armor. At weights 0 and 100 in-game, its perfect. At weights 1-99, I get mesh explosions on my armor. Solution that I've been told: I didn't have a "smooth" modifier on all my armor pieces. That, is in fact, a filthy lie. All my vertex numbers came out perfect in Nifskope, yet I still get explosions. I checked all the pieces of the armor, I deleted the base body that came with the original armor, and I made sure by using the "select by name" option in 3ds so I didn't forget a piece hiding somewhere. I'm out of ideas. Does anyone know why a body explosion could be happening even when my vertices match up? Please let me know..!
  3. Could you please be more specific with how to fix issue 10? I just recently started using the morpher for armor meshing, and it's invisible in the game. Do I fix the problem in nifskope or 3ds? Where do I look, exactly? And how can I fix it? That specific information would help me a great deal, thanks!
  4. It may be an issue with your mesh's priority list. The higher up it is, the more of a priority it has over the changes you make. You can always click the down arrow and choose "Edit mesh" to make another priority spot for editing if you don't want one effect to overwrite another. I hope that's what you were referring to =/
  5. I use 3ds max and Nifskope. Basically, you put all the objects into your "scene" in 3ds max, then you export it as a .nif file. However, stuff gets messed up when you do that, so you have to altar some more stuff in Nifskope. I was in your situation only about 4 days ago, but I wanted to make armor meshes and stuff. What is it exactly you want to do?
  6. I figured that, but wanted to see if others were having the same problem. That way I don't sit around for 2 weeks saying "Man, the Nexus is REALLY busy!" when it's something wrong on my end =P
  7. Is it just me, or can no one upload new files to the site? I've been trying to for the past 6 hours, and it won't upload my file....The page just takes forever to load, then the connection times out.
  8. What if all your vertices are matched up correctly in nifskope, but you still have a body explosions at weights 1-99?
  9. I believe there's a slight error in her tutorial - it's at the part where you're in nifskope. Although, the instructions may say to "copy," "paste" and "delete" at one point, it should always be "copy branch," "paste branch" and "delete branch" for every part that it's required. See if that does it...
  10. I'm trying to work on an armor in nifskope, but after I save, it'll say "Link points to wrong block type." Does that mean I've made a fatal error somehow?
  11. Noob question, incoming: I'm trying to modify some armor meshes, but when I get to altering the "Smooth" option under the "Skin" category, all I have is an option called "Envelope." What on earth do I do with that? ------ Edit: I figured it out. Man, I'm a jackass, hahahahah
  12. Well, I solved the problem. Apparently, the "unofficial" oblivion and SI patches were the culprits. I went through from scratch with no mods on, and it crashed...when I turned those off, I played for an hour without a crash (when it normally crashes w/in 10-15 minutes). It may have just been conflicting with one of the mods or some sort of file or loading process, but w/e, I don't crash now, and it feels great ^.^
  13. The only mods I'm using are the HGEC body modifiers and UV/deadly reflexes (as well as BOSS and OBSE, which all run accordingly without in-game error or lag). I agree though - if my mods were conflicting with eachother and causing CTD's, it wouldn't be random. Certain things would have to set them off. So, it's most likely my video card settings. I have the resolution on the very lowest setting, all shadows ------ EVERYTHING set to low/best performance. Even though I'm using a Radeon 9550 (sad, I know), and only 1gig of Ram and a 2.0ghz processor, my game runs surprisingly smooth. And as I said, it will not just crash in hectic fights with lots of pixels being thrown about - it'll take an action as simple as trying to jump or shooting a fireball while I'm alone in a room. All the sudden, my game will freeze and my computer starts acting like it's having a hernia...then out to the desktop I go. I've been meaning to download some of the mods I've heard about like the stutter-reducer mod and the crash preventer, but unfortunately the server is down, so I'm stuck saving my game every 30 seconds in fear of a flash-crash :P
  14. I was just wondering if there was a way to find out exactly what crashes your game after it happens. Unfortunately for me, the case with my game is that it's crashing COMPLETELY at random (in cities, in the wild, in fights, sometimes during loading, ...as if it were on a time limit from when I start playing?), and that when it kicks me out to my desktop, not only is there no "ERROR" message to indicate a problem, but my desktop view is magnified so I can only see like 1/4 of it, and it stays that way until I open up oblivion again and exit back out. Trippy, huh? I never heard of any mods disagreeing in such a way that would cause these odd symptoms (especially the desktop thing)...but in any case, if there is some way to keep track of the crashes that occur, I'd greatly appreciate it if someone could tell me. Or, if someone already knows the problem, that would be even better. Thanks!
