  1. These terms and conditions were originally designed for when steam workshop was introduced for TF2 so you could lodge your custom content to become an actual game item and sold in the MannCo Store and as it currently stands this will not effect Skyrim mods from being premium as this is referencing to the item being sold for the game not mods for Skyrim. Clearly no reference to third party games such as Skyrim only mention of Valve owned games.
  2. The only benefits you gain from compressing the dds is less usage on your graphics card and faster loading of the texture. Due to the texture being used for a quite rare armor compressing will not gain much of an advantage in terms of performance. The *_n.dds files are normal maps that create a more 3d effect on the texture creating more realism, the alpha channel in *_n.dds files are also the specularity mapping for the texture. Here is an example of the difference between no normal map and having a normal map. Photoshop can create normal map files but it is not that good quality. I use a program called crazy bump which creates good quality normal maps, but does not save an alpha channel to the file so it will be very shiny so I usually paste the new normal over the old one so it retains the specularity. Normal Maps need to be saved in DXT5 or 8.8.8 ARGB formats or else the specularity will not be saved.
  3. Usually .dds files are compressed in either DXT1 or DXT5 format which loses a bit of quality when saved due to the need to compress. Try saving it in the uncompressed 8.8.8 RGB format and quality should be better at the cost of a larger file size.
  4. If I recall correctly ENB has a built in FPS limiter you can use not sure how good it is but it should work.
  5. So I decided to make a joke mod that allows you to craft cutlery such as a fork and spoon to be used as weapons. Tests replacing daggers with the fork model went fine so I went into Skyedit and made a copy of the Iron Dagger and Iron Dagger Craft and linked it to the new fork model. Opened up my game with the new cutlery.esp enabled and went to the nearest forge and the Fork was right under the Iron Dagger in the craft list. Crafting the weapon works, but equping it causes a crash, any ideas what I am doing wrong here? Forms for the Weapon and Recipe are attached to make it easier to help.
  6. I am really interested in this mod, have you tested it with higher FOVs such as 90 as It may cause some camera placement issues and FOV tweaks are quite popular. Looking good so far, I hope you can get males working for the alpha version, always wanted to grow a body and legs. Also when hit in first person with this does the blood appear in both first and third person, always bugged me when fighting people in first person as no blood appears on my body in third other than hands.
  7. Got the same Graphics cards and i found that turning crossfire off improved my FPS, doing negative scaling for some reason.

What I am trying to do is when my player equips a pair of glasses is make the glasses play an idle animation which appears to be pulling down glasses and when I unequip them I play another animation which appears to be pulling the glasses up. Here is what I have so far but does not work (animation plays when I load and when I equip the item it wont play again). scn 0GlassesOnOffScript Begin OnEquip player.playidle glasses_down End Begin OnUnEquip player.playidle glasses_up End Any help to get this to work would be appreciated.

For quite a long time I have been having this issue and it looks really annoying, the problem is that in the areas closer to the face the hair starts to have a large amount of dots over it, The Unsettler is the only hairstyle I have noticed it on and is most noticible when you zoom up on your character or a NPC with the hair (do any have this hair?). I have also noticed this doesn't happen in the GECK. Here is an image showing what is exactly happening. http://i1081.photobucket.com/albums/j357/Gameinator95/FNVHairIssue.png Is there any way to prevent this from happening as it makes screenshots look very unrealistic. Edit: By turning off Transparency Multisampling (AA for Alpha Mapped objects) The dots have disappeared, hopefully the difference isn't that noticible If it helps my graphics card is an Ati 5750 running ATi Catalyst 10.12, this also happened on my laptop running a Nvida GT330M.
  10. Been trying to make my player as an npc using the GECK, but im having no luck. I tried the mod that adds numbers to the in game editor, but when i transfered them over to the GECK the face messed up really bad. Are there any easy ways or tutorials to get your player into the GECK as im having a heap of troubles doing it.
  11. I am experiencing some problems with my game, everytime that I am in the water i keep getting the sound a big splash or explosion in the water and it keeps looping until i get out of the water. Is there any way to fix this. My specs: CPU: Amd x2 6000+ Mobo: Asus M2N 68 GPU: Ati Radeon 5750 Sound: On board Ram: 4Gb DDR2 ram Edit: Turns out it was caused by the headbobbing effect of AdvancedVision.esp

I was in GECK the other day and I thought to myself this house is way to small for me so I built a sort of extention to the house moving the entrance door back, building a hallway and adding a basement. I completed the Navmesh and started up the game, house looks great but followers will not follow me down to the basement and if I tell them to sandbox with SCC they just stand there. Can anyone help me with this. Aditional Info: I got some sort of a Navmesh warning when I saved the file but I have no clue how to fix what it is telling me.

I have no clue what i did wrong, I made a cell based off Vault 108 (the room where you find Gary's skeloton and the holotape) and some parts of the cell are completely messed up (pictures below).   16. I just duplicated the default causasian presets and when i start a new game every stat is correct. I think that strong back and life giver screwed up because i lost 30hp and 50 carry weight. I will just use the cheat code to add 30 hp and 50 carry weight. I hope none of my other perks screw up.
  17. Ok so i've created a custom race, it is selectable for player but one problem, when i use "showracemenu" to change my race I lose some carry weight and hp, so now at 10 strength i only have a carry weight of 250 instead of 300. What did i do wrong?
  18. Hi just wondering if it is possible to make faces in photoshop and then import them into the game, like I do with alot of other games i play. EDIT: If i have to do it through races, how to i add custom ones to the player race selection menu?

I have been working on some new npcs for my game in GECK and for some reason everyone that is not caucasian has the correct color head but the body will not change to match the race, so now i have some african-americans with caucasian bodies. How can I get the bodies to match the head? I have attatched a picture so you can see what i mean. P.S Duplicates of african-americans also end up with caucasian bodies for me.
  20. Yes, i disabled all of the unneeded codecs, which got my radio working but I had stutter. I will try getting a sound card to see if that helps because it could be from the stress of my CPU. Also it doesn't seem to stutter when the game is minimised with alt+tab.
  21. I just got fallout 3 not too long ago and i just got my pipboy radio music working but it was stuttering. I have tried everything but switching acceleration to basic, how do you do that in vista? I can't find it in my sound settings.

I just got fallout 3 a few days ago and i just installed it, for some strange reason when i turn on the radio it goes with the talking stuff and when a song is supposed to play, no music plays and i get a severe preformance drop because of it (possibly can't load a codec). Is there any way i can fix this? because it is very annoying when I am in a fight. System Specs: CPU: Amd x64 3000+ GPU: ATi Radeon 3650 512mb (AGP) Sound: On board (Realtek Ac'97 (AC850)) RAM: 2GB OS: Windows 7 Ultimate x64 (Release Candidate)
