do you have the geck installed into the fallout directory? Sometimes if you install fallout3 into the default directory (c:/prgramefiles/bethesdasoftworks/fallout3) bad things can happen especially on vista so uninstalling and reinstalling into a different directory may work and then downloading the geck to the same place. hope this helps

when i try to open a weapon file in the geck or a cell with humans in it i get an error that says (X) well an x in a red circle Assert file:c/projects/fallout3PC/BSSHADER/BSSHADERMANAGER.CPP when i search up bsshasermanager on google nothing comes up kinda annoying :mellow:

IT SAYS mobile intel ® 4 series express chip family what gets me is that the start loads fine its just when i click on start new game it comes up with the normal loading screen with the slide and the little info bar in the bottom right and the loading reticule thing and about 5 seconds later then cuts out i also find i cant load some things in the geck aka weapons and faces when i click on them it comes up with some error and the options are abort retry ignore i think my computers RETARDED :wallbash: :wallbash: :wallbash: :wallbash: :wallbash: :wallbash:

i am using vista and fallout 3 isnt in default folder i have dial up(epic fail) and the paches take a while to load i have no idea how to check my drivers or most of that stuff i have a fairly new comp would it b cause its a laptop? dunno will give thoose tings a try thanks

whenever i start fallout 3 it loads fine but when i click on new game and start, the loading screen comes up and wile loading the game cuts out and windows manager pops up saying sumthin like windows is searching for a sollution to the problem and then just shuts down fallout any ideas???? :wallbash:
