I use Home Plate as my base of operations but there are 2 noticeable problems.
#1 - I can't send a supply line to Home Plate (that I've figured out) so I can't pool resources from there.
#2 - I can't build crafting tables inside homeplate, where I have access to all my stored resources.
-
+1
A Key ring would be fantastic
A holotape 'playlist' tab would be great
-
+1
Even a simple UI with:
- A column showing all settlors, with their assignment, if any
- A column showing all available jobs in the settlement (e.g. farming, artillery, shops, etc)
- And a way to assign them would be fantastic.
It would be even better if there were other options like:
- Sorting farming by categories (e.g. highest food output, or target resource to be harvested)
- Being able 'lock' settlers so they don't switch
The current settlement design is a good step to build it in natively (kudos to those who started this process with the FO3 and FNV mods) but as always it seems, the interface contains room for (signficant) improvement.

I'm really hoping to find a way to resolve this without deactivating Dovahkiin Hideout and taking all my crap out of there (and not missing any of it). Here's the issue I'm having:
1. I complete the quest Taking Care of Business, where you have to talk to the shopkeepers to pay up.
2. I talk to Brynjolf. tl;dr he says follow me.
3. Brynjolf then enters the hideout via the trapdoor on the floor.
4. Following him through hideout he exits via Honeyside (or whatever the Riften purchasable house is - which I have purchased) and walk to the center market on the upper level. Where he then walks back and forth between the same 2 stalls.
... ugh...

I like the queuing system added. I don't think it's visually clear what is happening though. Instead of the popup that has been there now there's a new tab at the bottom, it's very easy to miss. I was trying to install the same mod several times not realizing what was happening.
My suggestion would be to put a progress bar similar to the download speed bar on the bottom to give a visual queue of what is happening.
Something like:
[0 to 100 bar] (Installing/Uninstalling) <Name of Mod being installed/uninstalled> Mods Remaining in Queue: X of Y <Problem>
Visual mockup attached.
[0 to 100 bar]
* Fills from left to right corresponding to the progress of the install/uninstall of the mod.
* Color = green for install, red for uninstall ( to correspond with the colors on the buttons in the UI for activating/deactivating).
* Download speed bar color change? So it doesn't used green/red anymore?
(Installing/Uninstalling)
*Text string, stating if the current process is a mod activation or deactivation.
<Name of Mod being activated/deactivated>
* Name of mod currently being activated/deactivated.
* Truncate to 40 characters
Mods Remaining in Queue: X
* Where X = number of mods in queue not counting current mod being processed.
<Problem>
* IF all status = running/completed/queued THEN display text "No Issues Detected"
* IF any status =/= running/completed/queued THEN display text (color = red) "Issue Detected. See Mod Activation Queue"

Have you run BOSS since you started up again? There could be conflicts with updates. Also, depending on which version of Skyrim you last played before taking a hiatus, some of the mods may no longer work as there were some major changes too. Just because SKSE and Script Dragon are up to date (is Script Dragon still used by anything?) doesn't mean the individual mods still work correctly.
I'd strongly suggest running BOSS and see if it returns any errors.
-
That wasn't a dumb question, that was the answer. I hadn't even read that. I just saw it was something another mod needed and installed it. Thank you!

Problem - Start a new game, I'm riding mid-mesh sort of looking out of the torso of the wagon driver on the wagon to Helgen. Audio is fine.
However upon reaching Helgen the gate doesn't open and all kinds of problematic rag-doll effects occur.
So I can't actually enter Helgen on the wagon to get to the character creation sequence. Any thoughts?
1. Ran BOSS, no errors.
2. SKSE up to date
3. I've deleted all the .ini files I could find and re-built them through detecting graphics.

Have you updated any mods recently?
-
This has probably been posted a dozen times, but I'm not searching for the best terms. Is there a variable jewelry limit mod? I see 2 rings and unlimited looking around. I'm leaning toward the unlimited... but I'm lazy. I want something to yell "YOU STUPID" (by not letting me do it) whenever I think about going past my limit. Thanks
No the due to Bethesda programming restrictions.
Thanks for the info.

Doing some testing, it looks like (at least for me) it's Forsaken32's Colored Map Markers (http://skyrim.nexusmods.com/mods/1327) - maybe the Dragonborn patch broke it?
I found another one that seems to do the same thing without the quest markers not showing up - xEightballx's EzEs - Colored Map Markers (http://skyrim.nexusmods.com/mods/26556)
I'm not conntected to either of these mods, I've been using Forsaken's almost since it was released but until there's an update for that one, I'll be using EzE.
-
Just start Skyrim once first, no need to create or load a game but start it, Skyrim need to complete the process of installing itself before BOSS can be used.
I just found that, google is your friend (which I failed at initially). I was starting it with simple borderless windows - needed to run the base launcher once. Thanks!
-
Uninstall the offending mod, open the save, resave, reinstall the mod?
-
So I was having some issues (related to a recently downloaded mod) and worked it out, but now when I try to run Boss to re-sort the recently reinstalled mods it won't detect skyrim. It will locate FONV and Oblivion.
On a (probably) related note - validating Skyrim on Steam locates one continuously invalid file. I just downloaded Dragonborn today (already had dawnguard and hearthfires).
WyreBash seems to have a similar issue. It won't locate Skyrim, just Oblivion.
Thanks!
-
Not a fun task - I just had this issue - turns out it was a mod I had just downloaded that was featured on Gopher's newest blog reviewing mods - Harvest Overhaul. For whatever reason, it crashes for me. I must be installing it wrong I guess?
-
Corrupted download? Have you tried deleting it an redownloading?
-
It should work for every download
It doesn't for me for failed downloads. I thought that was the purpose of the button, but it appears to be more of a resume feature of paused in practical application. It might be the type of download failure?
E.g.
Theoretical case one (thinking this might be me) - Connection to the file times out without any data actually being transferred (leaving it simply displaying the file path location and error message) - resume does not work.
Theoretical case two (thinking this might be where it could work?) - Connection with file established but for some reason after some data but not all is transferred there is a break in the connection causing a file download failure, this feature would allow the resuming of the interrupted download.
I'm guessing here, but given your thinking it should work and my experience that when a connection is never completely established it doesn't work, that might be the bugger of it?
-
So having taken 6 months or so off from Skyrim, I liked the changes. However there is one improvement I'd like to recommend be considered for future development as resources allowed:
Currently if a file fails to download you get a message stating: "Error trying to get the file: <path>"
If you're downloading multiple mods it's nigh impossible to try to figure out which one failed to download.
nid and fid don't correspond intuitively to the nexus site information. So I don't know which file failed when all I get is nid=110 and fid=12345 (example).
.... Or a usable retry feature. If I'm not missing that in the download manager (it just gives me the red X for deleting).
-
You've grabbed the latest versions of SKSE and Dragonscript?
-
How in the world did this ever get past the QA team, not standardizing interior designs within a kit? *sigh* Thanks for the help! It looks a lot better already. I just wish I could turn snap-to-grid on for the corder/door units. At least once the corners/doors are in place the wall pieces snap to just fine.
-
Does this mean every time I use corners or a door from this set I'll have to use that skinny vertical piece?
-
@Tamb0 - that does! Thank you!
-
Piece looks rotated on the x or y axis.. open the ref for the piece and look at the rotation values, adjust as needed. I would suggest setting the x and y axis to zero and then repositioning the piece and its z rotation.
Ah. That could be the solution I was missing. I turned off snap-to-angle and tried to 'fix' it wasn't fine enough turn. I'll try that tomorrow. Thank you!

Thank you. I guess I was just lazy for #2 and didn't search well enough. My bad. That alone aleviates about 1/2 my desire for #1 anyway. Now... if I can just get Boston After Dark and the Lost Patrol to be completable...
Thanks again!
