  1. I saw this for New Vegas, which has a surprisingly low amount of endorsements, but nothing for Fo4 that I could find with search keywords. I honestly would have expected more people to want to play this way and only use their preset favorites for this - tho probably plenty do just play that way, mod or not. And yes, I realize I could just not use it. But for one the temptation is still there, and I'd like to completely prevent myself from giving in to it, even if it's only for one playthrough. Plus I feel like just knowing the restriction is there would make me play completely differently. And two, you sometimes enter (or stay in) combat without realizing it, and this will make those scenarios more challenging as well as forcing you to prepare better ahead of time and be more cautious. Does a mod like this exist, and if not would someone be willing to make it please!
  2. I love that you're asking for this dude, I'm the biggest dog lover there is as well. She looks like a real sweetheart and makes me miss my own dog, I really hope someone does this for you. If I had the first clue how I would in heartbeat but this type of stuff may as well be rocket science to me. Make sure you cherish every last second with her and please someone with a heart make this man his mod!
  3. Oh see, it doesn't have an esl to begin with... it's just meshes and textures as far as I know (including replacing his outfit). But that's the entire issue with it... it won't load after any other companion changing mod out there, even ones that seemingly don't affect Nick at all, because it's not an .esp or even esl too probably, but I'm guessing esp would be much better so it can be last on the load order? I actually have no idea how to even work this program to begin with tho, like how do I access the files to begin with that I want to make into an esp? And does it even work that way or would I have to like program something or tell it to work that way? Which I also wouldn't have the first clue how to do. And do I need to set a directory or something else? Cus all that's showing up is the Fallout esm, and all the DLC esms - is this because I'm using Mod Organizer 2 and everything else is in another folder entirely? Like I said you basically have to explain it to me like I'm 5... and even then I still might not understand it very well with my brain disease.. But I'll try lol
  4. I'm not sure if this has ever been asked on here before, and I know this is (was) quite a popular mod with 22,000 endorsements and a LOT of people are asking for this to be done on it's mod page. But unfortunately the author openly stated he has no intention of ever doing so. Even though, currently.. this mod just no longer works, for anyone. And no one is sure if it's because of conflicts, with apparently any companion based mod whatsoever, since it seems like every last one of them breaks this mod. Though I got it working myself only when I turned absolutely everything else off. Sounds like the easiest fix though is making it into a .esp for proper load order. https://www.nexusmods.com/fallout4/mods/9568?tab=description So the bottom line is, would any modders be willing to help out with this? Or at least help out by telling me how to do it myself? I THINK it's probably simple for modders, but I'm practically a 5 year old when it comes to figuring out how to do stuff like this on my own... Like I tried downloading Fo4Edit and it may as well be alien technology to me on top of having a neurological illness that's currently making it extremely difficult to learn new things, but I'm willing to at least try if no one else will, so long as I have some direction. Would really appreciate some help either way though! And I know a lot of others still asking for this would too
  5. I've finally got my game the right level of (insanely high) difficulty, though not in the "usual" way I guess.. low damage out, high damage in. As well as a million mods that add to everything else that can make the game difficult (high ranks/spawns, new creatures, etc). However if I even look in the direction of a grenade, I instantly die.. even with 11-12 endurance, and full x-01 power armor. And yet my grenades do next to know dmg, even with maxed demolitions.. which is supposed to be a HUGE part of my build.. Is there anything, like the .skk damage management mod or something, that would allow me to fully tweak grenade damage on both incoming and outgoing? Or even something that lets me change what each grenade does specifically?... Would be a big help! Thanks
  6. Well it is though.. now lol. I already had my FO4 install folder on D, since the start. But MO2 unpacks and installs all the mods into your "appdata/local" folder, in a folder with the profiles you make. So I actually moved them onto the same drive, and now this problem is occuring. Bottom line: I just need to know if it even works this way or the profile folder HAS to be on C.. in appdata/local, because it doesn't look like there's any way to choose a different destination path via MO2 itself..
  7. So to save space on my old ass main drive, I moved it to my storage drive (from C to D). And ofc as I expected Id have to re-set all my paths and whatnot. But the problem is I have no idea how to do this with profiles, or where the MO2 profiles are even located. Anyone able to help with this? (also once I do have all the paths appropriately set again, this should still load all my mods and not cause any issues right?) EDIT: to be more precise.. I moved the folder that was installed on my C drive (in appdata/local) where all of the mods are automatically unpacked/installed to for MO2 to use. So how do I make it work now that I've moved this? lol Or can this only be on C drive?..
  8. So the only one of these that I saw on nexus apparently doesn't work anymore ever since survival was added to the game or properly developed I guess. And also it for whatever reason only had files that you choose from with flat rates that were massive wide swings from eachother.. (like either 35% or 150% which is extremely close to vanilla already..). I'm trying to reduce my exp gains - making a more challenging run - but not from 165% to 35%..... somewhere inbetween would be nice lol. Anyone know how to, or capable of making a mod that can do this? Particularly one that is adjustable with a slider or something.. or a menu that functions like "survival options". Idk how this would work with all the different difficulties already having different exp gain amounts, but personally even if i had to reduce it across the board for all difficulties that would be more than acceptable. Or alternatively if there's some way of doing this in the .ini files that would be awesome if someone could explain it.. but from what I understand it can't be changed there.
  9. I'm not great at stuff like this, but im not a total dunce either.. I was wondering if anyone has instructions or a guide on how to do this? I thought it would be easy.. just edit a picture onto a file named pipboyscreen_d.dds, but apparently it's not that simple lol. Can this not be done using paint and resizing down to 1024x1024 resolution? is there much more to it? Any links would be helpful.. or just suggestions as to what I might be doing wrong lol. Thanks
  10. Nevermind on the saving ENB settings.. I figured it out. I'm just an idiot and completely missed the whole "apply and save config" settings lol.. But everything else above is still a problem, particularly right now that of needing a good prefs.ini file to use.. but all of the other things listed as well.
  11. So I downloaded the latest "ENBseries" as well as "Vogues ENB", and the main problem I'm having is that when I uncheck "depth of field" for example - bc the character blurring is an absolute no for me - it works, but then it doesn't save for the next time i launch the game. as far as i can tell saving games doesn't help either Is there any way to get these settings to stick? I would hate to have to change them every single time I load.. Also, I'm not entirely sure how I feel about Vogue's ENB to begin with, it seems like it messes with the lighting too much.. like during the daytime when the sun is out, everything is just too bright or something.. almost bland looking. And my pipboy light is WAYYYY too dim, it makes it very hard to see it and make out the words, especially with the colors I chose which I'd prefer to keep. Any way to fix this? As for the 'blandness' the problem is I'm not 100% sure what the ENB does.. other than this (I just know I felt like it was too much of a change to the lighting). I've done modding before but I know very little about the details of it - so you may have to explain things to me like I'm 5 btw lol. I wish there was a side by side comparison of what Vogue ENB does before and after, so I can see how it affects different times of day and everything else it does (what even does it do besides lighting and stuff?). Or if there's another one I might prefer better.. BTW I'm using "great fps boost" mod, which I believe mostly just mods the .ini (but has probably been overwritten by now with other stuff i installed?), but also has a file that turns all fog off.. will that affect the overall look of Vogue ENB? Is having the fog turned off even that big of a difference nowadays? Like I could use more performance, but does it even matter that much? And for that matter, are there better fps boosters than "great fps boost?" Likewise, if any of them change textures and not just the .ini settings, will said textures overwrite eachother if i use several of these or something else like a green mod? Lastly.. and I'm not sure if it's the ENB settings or vivid weathers, or something else that I installed recently.. but I'm getting a LOT of lighting flickering, pretty much constantly whenever i move or look around - like on the ground and pavement and rocks and stuff during sunny days.. like it looks normal, somewhat bright.. and then flashes a very very dark color on the ground, looking as if it suddenly became nighttime for that spot, if that makes sense. any idea what may have caused this, potentially without having to flat out turn off certain lighting completely? like enbs are more than just .ini setting changes right? is there anything specifically that i can replace, or a better lighting mod i can use that will overwrite this problem? If I load the game via the .exe itself, rather than through MO2 theres a LOT less flickering, and it's even brighter (more godrays I think?).. but I also noticed there's no shadows in either instance. Is there a solid fallout.ini or falloutprefs (can't remember which) somewhere that I can download that has good performance and looks nice? one that doesn't turn off all shadows lol (probably why my vogue ENB looks bland) or the fog.. unless turning fog off really does improve performance a lot nowadays still.. Could really use a hand with any of these issues, thanks in advance
  12. Sooo just a big FYI.. i am pretty mod illiterate lol. I've done a lot of 'modding' to FO3/NV/Skyrim, just by following simple instructions.. but I am by no means understanding of 90% of what it's actually doing. I only just started modding FO4 on PC today, and have downloaded MO2, unofficial FO4 patch, and a couple of a performance mods.. (great fps boost + insignificant objects). Tried installing version .281 of Enboost thru MO2 only to receive an error at the bottom that it couldn't sync with api.nexus or something.. "file forbidden" I believe was the message. Also realized there was newer versions.. downloaded .283 and tried to install that directly into the FO4 folder like it says.. entered in my VRAM value at 3GB (cus that's what one of the videos says), on the enblocal file. But now whenever I start the game up.. there's nothing but black screen. However I can hear the music and the "intro" video playing.. And if I delete all the files that .283 had me drop in the FO4 folder, I can see it all clearly again and play the game.. but that doesn't help me if I wanna improve my performance (I'm using a Radeon 7770 GPU.. so yea..) Any ideas why the heck this is happening? Like the file folder once unpacked says "patch", does that mean the .283 is only a patch of a previous version?.. and I need those files unpacked and installed first or something? Could use a hand from someone who actually uses this mod and isn't an idiot like me apparently.. Also.. IS there a way to install this thru MO2? Or should I not even bother.. Lastly.. a sidenote.. I noticed that once I installed insignificant object remover, all the objects supposedly there in the screenshots on it's page were removed from my game. However, when I disable the mod.. those objects don't come back. Any idea why this is? Were they even there to begin with lol, like did unofficial patch remove them or something else (lowest quality settings maybe?) I'd like to know how to bring em back if possible.. or if some mods like this one are just going to be permanent.
  13. Does anyone happen to know where I can find this mod? Necro has this mod/files hidden now, and I heard this was the best one, by several different people. I'm looking for the nude version (assuming there's more than one). Likewise, anyone happen to know why he hid them in the first place? And last question .. assuming anyone has this body mod, what's the best texture to use with it? Or did it come with it's own? Any info/help would be appreciated, thanks in advance!
  14. I apologize in advance, as I'm somewhat new to modding... well I've been doing it for a while but I'm still sort of a "newb" I guess. I would search to see if this has been discussed before, but I wouldn't know what to search for exactly :P Anyway, I don't know howto use GECK or anything to actually edit or make any Mods myself, and so my question is simply as the title states... Is there a way to add meshes/textures to JUST the Player Character? For example, I know you can create subfolders for specific NPCs and add mods/meshes/textures to their respective subfolders and thus it will change only them in game and no one else. I was wondering if there was a certain folder name like "maincharacter" or "(charactersname)" or something along those lines that would cause this to work? Or likewise, even changing every other NPC in the game except the main char? Any feedback at all would be appreciated, thanks
