  1. Thanks! I had a hunch that was the case, yet at the same time didn't want anything to accumulate and have any negative gameplay impact. Guess I'll go do it, then. ^_^
  2. Hm, that's really strange. Do you have the unofficial patches installed (assuming you're playing on a PC)? Apparently there were *tons* of bugs with that quest that were addressed with the unofficial patch. If all else fails you can advance the quest to the appropriate stage by looking up the quest ID on uesp, and then use the corresponding console command. Wish I could be of more help >_<
  3. I'm a bit of a completionist and want to read the journal in Calixto's chest explaining his reasons after completing the quest, but every time I enter the house (whether day or night) using his looted (but not stolen) key to unlock it, I get 1 "Trepass" stat added. I'm playing a "Chaotic Good" sort of character and want to keep anything on the character 'crime' tab to a minimum (except the more benign stuff like undetected lockpicking or various Thieve's Guild quests), but I can't figure out how to enter just to read the journal without incurring a trespass. It's also a tiny bit immersion breaking because absolutely no other character is around to detect it. Is it normal for the game to count stuff like this even with no other characters around? I know that if you get enough of certain stats on that tab, that you can get Dark Brotherhood assassins or 'hit squads' sent after you, and I'm not really interested in that at the moment - I have enough with dragon and vampire attacks and the Thalmor justicars after me because I turned Saadia in <.< Or, is it more that the game simply records it for the purpose of just recording the total amount of stuff that happened, and it doesn't necessarily count towards any negative event or treatment ingame?
  4. I *just* finished this quest for the first time. When I got the amulet from Hjerim, I entered Calixto's house and talked to him - there was an amulet-related option where he would tell you what he thinks it is, which then advances the quest further. After I did that, I then went to Viola and asked about the butcher, and she pointed me towards Jorlief, which advanced the quest another step. I think you have to have both #1 and #2 of the butcher's journals as well as the Beware the Butcher book (or was it a flyer?) in your inventory, which are located throughout Hjerim. Anyways, that's what I did, and the quest completed without any issue. :)
  5. I noticed recently that the distant terrain of certain areas have horrible seams in them - and both sides of the seam are very mismatched >_> Are there any fixes for this? I'm using the unofficial patches, the Hi-Res DLCs and its unofficial patch, SMIM, Skyrim HD 2k textures and ELFX + its SMIM meshes, along with RealVision ENB. I think this may be a vanilla problem that was never addressed.
  6. I was clearing out a Falmer cave just now and noticed that their swords seem to have a damage health poison on them, and when I successfully blocked the attacks (I'm using SkyTweak's timed block) and received no raw physical damage from them, the poison damage was still applied to my character as if I had taken an unblocked hit. I was using weapon block instead of a shield, but I heard that even attacks blocked with shields still let weapon poison damage through and that the bug is intrinsic to vanilla Skyrim. Are there any workarounds or mods that fix this?
  7. That would be so awesome, but I'll just leave that as a light suggested possibility rather than a request. It might be fun to implement :)
  8. Wow, it works!! It says "when blocking with a shield" in the timed block description, so I always figured it was just for shields and never tested it to a great degree with only weapons. When I successfully block an arrow though, the arrow still penetrates and sticks out of my character's body/armor and the blood animation happens, just with no damage taken though. I wonder if there's an animation replacer that would fix that? Thanks so much Grimy ^__^
  9. Wow, really? I somehow never realized that. Gonna give that a try now ^_^
  10. Is there a mod that has a timed weapon block feature (where if you block within a short window of a physical attack connecting, it reduces the physical damage by 100%)? I'm pretty sure there's at least one mod that already does this, but I can't find it. Right now I'm using SkyTweak's timed block feature, but it only works with shields, and my character is meant to be more of a 'duelist' type that has one 1h sword equipped with nothing in the off hand. I'm aware of several duelist mods that increase the attack damage or attack speed and/or +block % bonus for weapon blocking without a shield equipped, but I haven't seen a true shieldless timed weapon block feature that reduces physical damage by 100% if done correctly, yet. I've seen one with parrying, though that works slightly differently. Also, I remember that Deadly Reflex in Oblivion had this feature, and it also worked on arrows; I would love if this feature also existed, as I think a high level character with an insanely high 1h sword skill level should be able to do this. :)
  11. Hah, figured it out! Apparently the rain without clouds bug was caused neither by vanilla, CoT or Supreme Storms or any combination of them, but rather True Storms (even with its patch options enabled). When I removed it from the MO plugins by unticking the mod, the save I made right in the middle of the cloudless rain storm suddenly became cloudy again when loaded without True Storms. Yay.
  12. edit: Nevermind -_-; SkyUI 5.1 is out (as of August 18), and SKSE 1.7.3 *just* finished beta and is now the latest stable build. Maybe reinstalling the very latest versions will help? I just did, and everything seems to work beautifully (I'm using MO as well).
  13. So, I just finished installing my favorite mods using Mod Organizer and am pretty sure they are installed correctly, and in the proper load order. But, when I fast travel somewhere (it happened when I fast traveled to Whiterun just now, for example), sometimes it will be raining during clear weather, without a single cloud in the sky. This is pretty atmosphere breaking :/ I'm not sure if this is a bug that already exists in the Vanilla game and was never patched by either the official or unofficial patches (that seems unlikely), or if it's coming from my weather mods - I use Climates of Tamriel along with its Dawnguard and Dragonborn patches, and then Supreme Storms + Climates of Tamriel Patch by prod80, + True Storms loaded afterwards, along with all of the respective compatibility patches, as recommended in step 3 here: http://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/30936/? I also have RealVision ENB installed. ...actually, it would probably be better just to post my full modlist and load order: I did some extensive googling but could only find a few mentions of this glitch, and they weren't relevant to the weather mods I have. I believe CoT + Supreme Storms + True Storms are compatible with the right patches, because others have them working and they do work perfectly for me, except for this "rain coming from nowhere" thing >_< It may actually be a Vanilla problem, though - I've heard people mention that it happens for them regardless of their weather mods installed or not. Any suggestions? :)
