I haven't played DAO in a long time. I just bought the ultimate edition because it has all the DLC's, which I have never played. So I have to reload, but I just noticed Nexus Mod Manager does not work for DAO. Hmmm. is there a reason? The two mod managers for DAO available are not easy to work with, in fact years ago I never got it working properly. Any suggestions?

I need help converting a Follower (NPC) to a spouse. I don't want to lose the NPC as a follower, but you can not always take them with you. Some followers, when released will vanish. As it is now, I store the follower in the original location of recruitment, but I always worry I will lose them as I have in the past. I can not marry them (which would solve the problem as to storage), because they can not be wed. I know you can have anyone agree to marriage, but once inside the Temple of Mara, they will lose their follower status and you have a blood bath on your hand. This has happened to me several times, good thing I had several saves. I currently have an "Ancient Vampire" (RefID 00051844) and she is very dangerous, she is great to have along, and I don't want to lose her. She has the ArchMage outfit on, with muffle boots, and the Mage Circlet to inhanse her powers. Her prowess in combat is awesome. I have already had to go back to previous saves to get her back. I have tried locating her BaseId, but can not verify it (maybe 00033883). Tried rewriting charector thru "Skyrim NPC Editor " to no avail. Tried inputting "addtofaction" to no avail. Tried Turnfriendlyfaction, to no avail. Tried to give her a name so I could reprogram her, no clue how to do that.
Found her in "Haemar's Shame Cave," I think the Ancient Vampires only appear for upper levels (not sure).
Question: Can a mod be written to allow marriage without the temple of Mara ceremony? I think this is the only way around it, because taking her into the temple was a HUGE mistake. She killed over 20 people in Rifton, and refused to have anything to do with me.

Well, I got her out. I got her BaseId and Placeatme. Then, three days later, another Jordis shows up. So now there are two. It's kind of funny, they dress different, and have a slightly different routine. All is as it should be.

I see no reason why not. To have someone in the house makes it more pleasant than when it is empty. It isn't about polygamy or anything, it's not like you have a physical relationship with these people, just someone in the house making it more pleasant. And it can't be that hard to make, right? When I had Ingun Black-Briar as a wife in Solatude, she was always friendly, always had a pleasant greeting, she was always busy doing something. She was by far the best wife so far. But it would be nice to have one in each house, give that homely feeling......

You can also do a placeatme for characters who no longer have a roll. I have "Gormalith Golden-Hilt" living in the Solitude house, just finally figured out how to give her a voice. And the "Sultry Maiden" from the Sheogorath episode also living there, but have not been able to give her a voice or anything. These are two people that are nice to have around (but they don't sleep). I wish I was better at this, but I am learning from trial and error.

I have pretty much completed everything but the companions. I have just been given a task to go fetch a fragment from Swindlers Den. But every time I try to enter the cave my game crashes. It is very frustrating. I have shut everything down, restarted the computer, turned off all mods etc. Still will not work. I have goggled the problem and found that the problem exist with others, but no real solution has been presented. Any ideas?

I am also on the companion quest with issues. Everything else is complete. I was sent to Swindlers cave to retrieve something, but every time I enter the cave, my game crashes. Have not had this problem before. I have tried everything, shutting down mods etc. Any ideas? I noticed on Google that a number of other people have had this issue, but there were no valid suggestions. Could it be that there are multiple quest in this cave?

I need some help. I know you should not travel to japhet's folly after the quest, now. But I left something there and I can't get it. I can go back to a previous save, but I can not go back far enough to get what I lost. I have tried swimming, tried TCL, tried COC, tried player.placeatme, tried to transport to the equipment test room, everything I could possible think of, but to no avail. Now, you probably want to know what i left? Right before the mission started on japhet's folly, I turned to Jordis (00092c95) and told her to go home. I didn't want to have another companion dye, and she was my favorite. What I didn't know at the time was she could not leave, because japhet's folly is a frigin prison, and so she just stood in the middle of the ship. At the completion of the exercise, you don't go back to the ship, so I did not know she was still standing there. Several days went by before I realized something was terrible wrong. She is there on the ship, ready to follow me, but I am stuck in the lala land. Please help me save my Jordis!!!

Is it possible to occupy marjolaine's House once she is dead or gone? It seems like it should be a simple tweak. It would be perfect having a house right there on the market, with a place to store stuff. Maybe you could offer it to Kaitlyn or Bella as a place to hang out while they are in town?

I just loaded the original Witcher. When I went to start the game (in Windows 7), an error message said I did not have authorization. So I went back and right clicked and started as administrator. same message. I went in and found the root application, and right clicked, same thing. Is there something I am missing. I am trying every possibility.
Frustrated, why doesn't it just work.

I would love to be part of this elite and honorable group but I haven't the foggist as to how to make a mod. So I will simply enjoy the benifits of these talented people.

I've seen what's out there, but none of the MODs actually pull from the gigabytes of music I already have on my computer in itunes. Maybe it is to complicated. -

Is it possible to have a mod, where it pulls songs from another file? Like itunes etc?
Or maybe, you could upload your own music to a files that three dog pulls from?
In this way you would have control over the type of music you are listening to.
I am sick of hearing about a guy who chops up all the women in his town.
Just a thought, I know there are some very creative people out there.
