  1. So this might make me a weirdo, but the settlement building is probably my favorite part of the game. I'm on the lookout for some interesting settlement building mods. Not stuff like more props (with the exception of something like Sim Settlements). I want more things to do. I want to make a fortress and defend it, great building locations, new mechanics, things like that. Any and all suggestions welcome.
  2. I have no idea how hard this would be to make, so just leaving the idea out here. A container/set of containers that will automatically distribute weapons and armor among your settlers. I am a bit of a hoarder and I like picking up gear with the intent of giving it to the people in my settlements but I never get around to doing it or loose track of where I stashed some armor. Now there could be two versions of the mod. First, where it is only a single container distributing stuff through the entire settlement without distinction. Second, a version where each settlement job has a different container linked to it, so farmers get gear from here, guards get gear from there, merchants from another, you get the idea. Some miscellaneous options could be to exclude companions and named NPCs from the distribution and weather or not to have linked settlements also link these distribution containers.
  3. I have deleted the steam fallout new vegas folder, the old NMM folder, all mods in the vortex folder. Will reinstall new vegas and see if that works.
  4. I decided to play through new vegas again, wanted to do an enhanced vanilla run (performance and graphics mods with stuff restoring cut content) before adding a bunch of new stuff in. I deleted all the mods I had in my old NMM folder and picked up Vortex, did a clean install of new vegas and started downloading new mods. It is still showing all my old mods on the Vortex plugins page. Is there any way to get rid of those so I easily know which mods I have and which I don't?
  5. So I want to pick up the Witcher again, but I want to find a solution to something that really irked me when playing. Problem: I want to explore the entire world without having to come back later because of high-level monsters. Solution:??? I had heard of a mod that removes the level system entirely, setting all monsters to a fixed difficulty slightly higher than what Geralt's stats are fixed at. However I have no leads on this mod. If anyone knows about this mod or another mod that would solve the same problem, I'd appreciate the help.
  6. So my Fallout 4 client keeps crashing at seemingly random. I'll just be walking along or dinking around in settlements and bam. How can I figure out what is actually causing the crash?
  7. Something I find aggravating is going through each individual settler and changing their equipment by hand. My mod idea is to have a system (most likely a series of containers) that automatically give the equipment inside to settlers with a certain job. For example, a locker where I can dump all the spare Combat Armor I pick up so it gets automatically distributed to my settlement guards. Would have a all-settlement or per-settlement versions (if people want themed settlements, I do that on occasion)Have a "cheat" version where placing a full set of gear in the container gives everyone a copy of that gear (so you could easily outfit your settlers with legendary gear without insane farming)Settlers are outfitted with the best equipment possible from the locker (if one is wearing t1 armor and you put in t2, the t2 is automatically equipped and the t1 is placed back in storage)Weapons are distributed in a similar manner. ammunition must be placed in the locker as well, but only a single bullet will be distributed (since they have infinite ammo if they have the one)Change the name from Standard Issue Gear (SIG) to something with a better acronym if you have any ideas.
  8. Has anyone else who uses the NMM started up Fallout with the recent update and gotten told by the game that their mods are no longer available?
