  1. So, here's my idea: a new set of armors and weapons for the minutemen, with a continental army( US war of independence) theme, with somewhat matching weapons for the faction. For the armors the idea is for a single piece that doesn't allow for the use of armor sets, as the outfits would be armored themselves. The basic idea for all of the 5 different sets of armor is for them to be imitations of the american continental army, with a blue coat, similar to the general's armor, and white vest and pants, with a white dress shirt underneath. however, those outfits are not to be exact replicas of the continental army uniform, but a sort of wasteland mockup, an imitation, with a front only crudely polished metal breasplate underneath the overcoat with matching upper arm metal plates, bolth the breastplate and the arm plates in bare metal, held in place with leather straps. This is pretty mutch the base for the 5 types of armor I thought of. Minutemen Musketeer: essentially the armor piece described above with two versions, one with a white bandoller, and annother with two white crossing bandollers. (the bandollers are supposed to look like the ones in the NCR bandoller armor). for the headgear a simple version of the tricorn hat, perhaps with a few decorations such as a small minutemen crossrifles pin. For this, the proposed weapon is a long barrelled bolt action rifle, something like a Springfield M1903, chambered in .308, but with a longer barrel and a musket triggerguard, the idea for the weapon's look is that it's made with recycled materials, so the stock should look dried and weathered and the metal somewhat bare and poorly polished. This type should also use the laser musket. Minutemen Grenadier: this type of minutemen variation should use the base armor with one bandoleer with grenades attatched to it, and a weathered black leather satchel with the tricorn hat, same as the musketeer.( a new type of grenade should be on the bandoleer, a forged metal retex of the baseball grenade to look like a primitive grenade) For this variant, a new type of grenade, as aforementioned, a retexture of the baseball grenade to look like a metal ball, as to resemble primitive grenadesof the 18/19th century. for a firearm, a semi-auto carbine version of the rifle mentioned before, but chambered in .45, with a magazine. Minutemen Marauder: for the armor, the base armor with a blue waist wrap, the same as in the american flag in hancock's outfit. For the headwear, a headwrap with googles covering the entire head with the tricorn hat. For weapons, the revolutionary sword( allready existent in game) and molotov cocktails. Very agressive meelee character. Minutemen Sharpshooter: the idea for this one is the base armor with a green cape and hood. For the weapon, a single-shot, somethink akin to the remington rolling block rifle, with a long, bronze side scope, like the one for the manwell rifle. Minutemen Heavy: the armor for this class is different from the rest. The outfit for this one consists in the same clothing as the base outfit described, but the armor front-only breastplate needs to be heavier, the metal armplates need to cover the arm, elbows and forearm, with plate armor on the legs too. For headwear a welder type metal helmet. For a weapon, this a LMG is necessary, a Johnson 1941 LMG. That is essentially my idea, in case of any doubts I'll do my best to answer at the earliest convenience!

With the insertion of the Militarized Minutemen I really wanted to use them and make a true rebirth of the minutemen, and for that it wold be necessary that they take over the protection of the settlements out there, and Sim Settlements: Rise of the Commonwealth provided the perfect way to do so. As it's well known for those who use the mod, there is a leadership trait that allows leaders to spawn in minutemen troops to protect the settlement, as well as fly the minutemen collors in the flagpoles. The idea for this mod is to create a pack of minutemen officers to take control of all oof the settlements on the Commonwealth. I'm not exactly shure what the other two traits could be, but it's only essential that they have the minutemen recruiter one. Well, that's my idea, hope someone sees this and decides to give it a crack.

I know brazilian women are very good looking, but unfortunately most of them, not all of them mind you, are as dumb , or maybe dumber, than a hammer, as in you would be beter off talking to a door, and also this majority that I speak of is superficial as a river with 2 centimeters of depth, in conclusion they're narcisist superficial and have preferences for the beach playboy steriotype or as I said the justin bieber kind of "guys". But I would be very wrong to say that all of them are like that, since in all groups there are allways members that spread from the common behavior or pattern. @jezdamayel: I know, I know, but sometimes it's hard to understand, when you see yourself getting far from the social accepted pattern it is obvious that you'll suffer the consequences for it, in my case, I'm very far away from the expected social pattern for a person of my age, and from my Country of course, therefore I suffer the consequences for making this choice, but every day I practice a fake smile and a few laugths on the mirror ,even before having breakfast with my parents, so that the ones that try to pull me down whon't get the satisfaction of knowing that it makes me sad, and that it makes me angry, hell, not even my parents know.... but you're right, we must hate the game, and not the players, no matter how hard it is.
  5. Hey there, finished hitting my head against the wall, interestingly enougth I saw the bloodstain and THEN I blacked out, I thought it would be one or the other but it whas actually bolth,hehe. Well letting the jokes aside I don't mind reading poetry to women, or in my case they're still called girls. Hell I even write some poems every now and then, but what bothers me is that girls whant romance twilight style and that simply won't happen, not with me at least, that's what those justin bieber-style halfway homosexual idiots are for, but here in Brazil it's either that or pretending to be a potential criminal and a deuchbag. Well, enougth of complaining, Tanaka is a very good choice too, that's why I voted for her as a candidate too, and with her the "fluffy romance" in it's traditional form, not in the twilight idiotic form, would be a good and interesting for a great number of players.
  6. Nah, what are you talking about? It whas a referendum about a possible romance that simply let to a conversation about the structure of fallout and real civilizations. We where extremely off topic, but hey, it could've been worse in so many ways, nothing comes to mind right now, but it could've been worse. And since I've made my vote and the justificative more than explicit I guess we can talk about other things until someone new comes around and adds a new perspective for us to talk ( or write) about, kinda like being able to eat your dessert after eating all of the brocolli, you know? hehe...( very childish example, I know, but it's what came at mind first). But I think that the fact that she's "jaded" will make a small romance story a little funny, a romance story doesn't have to be all fluffy and cute, in Kurosawa's case it could have some sarcasm, a few smartass jokes here and there and the flirting could be more interesting than that sticky and fluffy and standardized passion speeches. I don't know, could work. P.S: After writing this post I realized why I'm 19 years old and never had a girlfriend, so if you'll excuse me I'll go bang my head on the wall until I see a big red stain on my bedroom's blue wall or until I see everything blurry and black out, wichever comes first.

Well, as the Fallout universe has a few examples of the presensce of modern values we must remember that most of America is now composed of tribes, but of course there are expetions such as the NCR, the brotherhood, Vault City and some others, the only diference of the fallout tribes to the ones of ancient times is that the fallout tribes are actually born out of modern society from before the war, therefore their tribal values are not expected to be equal to those held by the tribals of our world. Their tribal rules and customs are adequations of what whas once the modern values that we speak of, and of course out of whatever rules or organization that the survivalist group that in the future became that tribe has formulated. And some of them are actually descendants of Vault dwellers, such as the Khans, the Vipers ,the Jackals and the Boomers. And a very good example of the rupture of "man goes hunting and women stay home taking care of everything else" pattern is the dead horse tribe from honest hearts, where man and women alike go to war as equals, and so do the Sorrows, but for a diferent reason, their inocense( I think I mispelled the word, but you understand) so they also fight like equals, the Boomers where their leader is a woman, as well as the main security supervisor Rachel or Raquel( I don't remember) and even one of the most primitive tribe, the white legs, that have to raid in order to survive and doesn't domain any form of tecnique to cultivate anything has bolth male and female fighters on their columns, although it could be said that this lack of a "home" ,a place to attend and maintain as their base of operations, per say, could be the reason of the lack of the traditional tribal gender based atribution of the functions, but still this lack of gender discrimination is a strong point. We must take in consideration that we must pay attention to the background of the individuals that eventually became the Fallout tribes, be it modern urban capitalists( countless raider tribes and what became the Strip families), countryside folks( no example I can think of), military troops( Blackfoots), scientists( like the Ciphers) or vault dwellers( Boomers and the others from Vault 15) or even tourists ( Dead Horses). I do not posess many knolowedge on the forms of ascention on the Brotherhood, only a knolowedge on how they're organised and the paths one can follow inside of the organisation, so I'll abstain myself of getting deeper into the subject. I'll content myself in only saying that although they have a knightly structure they're still an organisation born out of the US military, therefore I don't think that the arranged mariage would be a accepted behavior amongst them.But then again I have no expertise on the subject, so my opinion is based of other atributes of the Brotherhood. The Enclave reminds me of the American Eugenics Party from the 30's or 20's( I can't recall the exact date, but it's close) so the structure of having women out of harm's way( or at least the closest possible to that) seems to fit and also their very small numbers make such behavior as a necessity, but I can't overcome the fact that they must have female troopers, because an officer must have been a trooper one day, and a power armored trooper with laser or plasma weaponry has nothing to fear against the more normal threats of the wastes such as a raider or two, or maybe a radscorpion or wild dog here and there. And the Legion,well, they follow the typical roman empire structure, so I don't even need to say anything. The NCR can aford having a large number of women on the base of their military because of their more than large numbers, the way they grew and one of the most influential factors, Tandi's extremely extended time in presidency of the NCR.I have a particular liking to the structure of the NCR, the only thing that displeases me on the NCR is kimball, but then again it whas a good variable having him on the top of NCR to make them more neutral, instead of being the typical knights in shining armor steriotype, a more morally controversal faction, but still able to play the "nice guys" routine. That is what I didn't like in Lyons BOS's plot, they're the knights in shinig armor, literally, no exeptions or moral controversy, only the sore wound of the outcasts.But, thena again, its' just my opinion.
  8. Please don't do that,not twilight. I can see myself puking rainbows allready!! Oh, the dreadfully bright collors!! I normally prefer to be hit in the head by a blunt object than ask for mercy, but in this case I take exeption, so please, have mercy!! ( I exagerated a little here, but that's my real opinion). I said yes to romance and it can be influenced by a big event in the story, but no big event in the story should be influenced by it, actually I think that nothing in the story should be influenced by it at all. The romance should be an event that develops apart from the story.
  9. Very good to see you back Nylon, I'm not a very sentimental person ,so sorry for the lack of a touchy welcome back speech. I voted yes to romance, allthough I'm not really fond to it on games I must say that it's a very plausible situation within the MZC story, my votes on the matter of characters whas this: Female: Tanaka, if you follow the passive option on the council room. Kurosawa, if you choose the agressive option on the council room Male: Harkin, if you follow the passive option on the council room. Elignor, if you choose the agressive option on the council room. Male Commander: justificative I thought of it this way because of this. If you decide the offensive option on the council room Tanaka sees the commander as a cold hearted person, and that doesn't trust on her to perform diplomatic work, therefore the romance option doesn't appear, and it does appear if the commander chooses the defensive option because she thinks that the commander is a good hearted person whom won't risk the lifes of the troops and civilians on the battlefield, and that trusts in her and on her capabilities as a diplomat. Kurosawa would be the opposite, she would reject the commander for the defensive option because of her grudge against the brotherhood for killing her entire team, and would think that the commander is a coward, and that giving time to the brotherhood is a big error, and the romance attempt would be there if the offensive option is taken because of her grudge against the brotherhood, and would see the commander's atitude as brave and correct. I haven't thought of a way to justify my choice for Harkin or Elignor, but it would be based in the same situation, Harkin for defensive and Elignor for offensive. I'm using the council reunion as the X factor on wich character the romance option would be open to the player because it creates a strong point in the story and makes the motives of the characters plausible, and because it's the only situation that I could think of where you allready know all of these characters, exept Elignor, that I, and the general playing public, have acess to.The romances could be implanted after the mission in Russia in order to place these 4 characters into perspective.
  10. I use you expansion pack mod, and will definetly use this mod, it looks superb!! On another topic there's a ongoing mod that will change a few areas that will add a lot of material, new cassinos(some of them derelict) and your two mods maybe conflict, I'll searc on the nexus for the author and will post it here. Hey there, I´ve had an idea for an weapon that someone might like,here it is: Okay, it´s basically an Automatica Rifle(1918 B.A.R. on real life) with an wood buttstock and with an flag tied to the buttstock, just like the GRA Paciencia rifle, two variants, one of them with the American Commonwealth flag, the fallout world USA flag, and it would be called "The Patriot's Rifle" or maybe just "The Patriot". The other variant would feature an NCR flag on it´s buttstock, it would be called " The Bear's Claw". The patriot rifle could be set to be found at one of the bukers of hidden valley, or it can be set to appear at one of the armories of Lonesome Road. The NCR variant could be set to appear on an dead NCR veteran trooper somewhere on the wastes, maybe on nipton's hotel( there are a few NCR troopers dead there allready, or maybe to appear on the hands of the NCR riot control officer that wears the Elite Riot Gear.Hope someone likes this, I really whant to see this on the nexus..hehe...
  13. After seeing almost every kind of bunker player house on the nexus I think someone might like this little idea... A bunker on enclave style. The entrance would be like the one from vault 22(without the plants of course,and a closed vault door), or a hidden valley style entrance, once inside the first thing is an anti-chamber with a small security room, followed by an anti-rad chamber,after that the bunker with a barracks for at least 15 persons,player included (no separated player bedrooms) and connected to the bedroom a bathroom ( with shower area,functional showers are welcome but not necessary), a comms room with a few enclave style computers and radio equipment, a mess hall / kitchen( with a crafting oven) , a quartermaster room with a weapon storage section with bolth lockers and shelves / ammo storaging shelves with ammo boxes on them,and of course a crafting table and areloading bench, a briefing room with a wall map( like the one in Elder MacNamara´s room) and a tactical table( like the one in the Remnants bunker), a vertibird hangar(to spare a little work just copy the remnants bunker one), a medical bay and a small generator room( just to give a sense of functionality to the bunker).All of the bunker sections must be connected by a main hallway(exept for the generator room, it would be better if it where linked to the vertibird hangar). Now,the NPC front, the buker can but doesn´t need to have, a few NPC´s. I whas thinking a doctor on the medical bay, could be a human or robotic doctor(doesn´t make a diference to me), on the quartermaster room a quartermaster(of course!!) wich must be an ammo and weapon ventor, and also can repair itens, a cook for the mess hall/kitchen, and a comms officer to man the comms equipment.Now, in addition to those NPC´s that are deemed essential,quoted and detailed on the previous sentence, there can be more NPC´s, like guards that can patrol the bunker,sleep on the beds,eat at the mess hall,hanging out making push ups on the floor or leaning against an random wall, talking to each other, some technitians on the generator room and vertibird hangar, fixing something,or messing with an terminal or whatever.I believe that all of the NPC´s must have open inventories, so the player may modify their weapons and armor to whatever the player whants. Well,that´s it, hope someone takes interest in this idea and decides to do it.

Maybe you could do the so especulated Sierra Madre Vault and it´s secret treasure,but there´s still an issue with the elevator, it can only be operated from the top floor, if you go down there without someone to operate it for you you´ll be trapped... but think about it... a companion pherhaps...?

  17. Hey there, after I installed the GRA I whas trilled with the prospect of using my survivalist rifle with now 12.7mm hand load ammo, it would be really destructive, right? Would be if I could even use it, none of the game´s weapons, vanilla or GRA weapons are accepting the use of HL amunition,maybe someone could make a small script modification in order to fix that.Or maybe someone has a diferent idea?

I`m allredy working on getting the permissions for the mod uses,and I must say,I participated of several accademic events of international diplomacy,and acctually got ellected as one of the best in my activitiesin the comitees that I particiapted,so please don`t doubt of my diplomatic skills.That doesn`t mean that I will shurelly make them all wok together,but this kind of education gives me quite and advantage,but I appreciate your concern.And I must say that I´m not a modder myself,I`m acctually looking for volunteers right now,and I hope that anyone that whants to make this happen just PM me and I will give any and all necessary material and instruction of what this mod is abbout.

I have quite a simple idea,an simple remake of the NCR.Honestly the NCR rearmed mod is awsome,but that makes the NCR look like some kind of Enclave,with the modern and heavy looking armor and weapons,my sugestion is to make the NCR look better but without taking away that look of post-apocalyptic stabilished army,I don`t want an complicated and severely complex mod,actualy most of the work is allready done,but by other modders.Firtly for the wears of the NCR,armors and helmets,there is allready a mod that has the perfect armor for it, he can be found at this page on nexus:http://www.newvegasnexus.com/downloads/file.php?id=37569,almost all the variations of the NCR armor(common armoe,bandoleer,face wrap,manthel armor) are allready done,the only one not included is the MP armor,the only necessary thing is to remove the 1st recon badge form the arms of the armors,and in the MP version put the MP emblem on the right arm.For the helmets a perfect replacement would be the casque M1 helmets mod that adds the american ww2 helmets to the game,then again,the only necessary work on the helmet would be to make an darker version with the MP emblem on the front of it,this replacements would change the trooper helmet and the googles helmet that the NCR troopers use for this new one,by adding these new helmets and removing the old ones to the inventory lists of every NCR trooper,therefore still alowing the old ones to exist.And now for weapons,I propose to replace the standard service rifle for the battle rifle,a cut content weapon that was supposed to be the common variant of the this machine rifle,the weapon files are within the game files,the WMX mod brings this weapon in game,and along with that to place the automatic rifle(bar 1918) into the NCR troopers,this rifle is part of the Dead Money DLC.That is all,oh...one last thing, set all the members of the 1st recon with the original armor mod citated as referred model and give to all of them authority glasses,so they will be a lot more badass.If someone knows how to attatch photos to the topic please tell me and I will give you a insight of what is this abbout.
