  1. Money, it\'s like a gift that keeps on giving. Either you can save it, spend it after some thought or even build a fortress out of it once you have enough. I mean, it may seem unpersonal, but it\'s great in case you suddenly find out what you do want.
  2. Gee, sorry for adding realism to my life, I\\\'ll try not to learn stuff >_>. But yeah, here\\\'s the reply you wanted from me: *Insert patronising remark here* ...Ever interacted with real veterans that wasn\\\'t online? Because I have, and they hate the patronising remarks. My father was a veteran, and so was his father, my other grandfather was also a veteran, I got veterans in my family back to the middle ages, because then they where blacksmiths, I interact with them and their friends daily, maybe they are more sincere than others, but one thing\'s for sure: they hate being patronised, they see it as an insult and a sign of pity. Only reason why they don\'t say anything is because they know little people are aware of that. But hey! If you wanna force it on them...
  3. Atleast you got sincirety in your purpouse, highly aware of that you\'re being the badguy rather than the tiny nation you exploit, I respect honesty, so I guess I misjudged you. On the other hand... Taking for granted that I hate Americans? Far from, America is good in many ways, tad too extreme for my taste. What I do hate is it\'s arrogance and hipocracy, even though most fanaticals have that in common. I do know respect, and since you didn\'t defend it by saying something about welled up lies about weapons of mass-destruction or just mentioning 9/11, you certainly have mine. Adolph Hitler is a nice reference to what many Americans do, since he once said \"The victor is never asked to tell the truth\", and still you did, wich is why I respect you. Now you may whent abit overboard when you said that I wouldn\'t have the luxuries I have now if it wasn\'t for soldiers, not 100% true since I hail from a neutral nation, and claiming that Bill Gates couldn\'t invent a computer if he was native American is a tad bit racist, even though it\'s abit manipulative to say that you claim that. ...And I never thought I\'d live forever, I am a smoker...
  4. Right, I get it. Pratonise me and go on being another puppet of capitalism, nice work. Your effort is noted, your purpouse is corrupt, what annoys me the most is how you deny it so much. I\'d respect someone who said that they worked without giving a damn about if what they did was right or wrong, but to twist it around and act like it\'s okay? Well, it\'s ironic how a coward can be so corageous.
  5. Veterans are simply people who reluctantly left their families and ordinary lives to visit the darkest and most hellish areas on earth. They fight for \"freedom\" and die for \"their country\", sad truth is that only one of those are correct. America is huge, and no country has the even slightest potential to invade it. These people fought for one thing, and one thing only: Their leaders. Sad truth is that most modern day conflicts are simply about money, war means profit, and alot of it. These people do deserve recognition for their bravery, but we shouldn\'t wallow in patriotism and joy during this day, instead we should ask \"Why?\", for the truth is that the government only sends people to Korea, Vietnam and Iraq to earn money, nothing more, nothing less. The whole \"freedom and patriotism\" is a smear campaign, patriotism is a motivation and freedom is a lie. Is being forced to fight to the death really freedom? Is being imprisioned for not taking part in killing people of another nation freedom? Is the definition of patriotism the meaningless spilling of forgein blood for the sake of capitalism? How many people are there in Iraq? And how many are there in America? The veterans should be honored for their effort, but what people should ask themselves is who the true enemy really is... Pherhaps there is more to it than just freedom. I mean, there is about ten times as many american inhabitants as there is people in Iraq, so is an invasion really that risky? I know they say that there are weapons of mass-destruction in Iraq, allthough how come that a religious fanatic who just wants people to die lays them aside to hijack airplanes and brainwash people into blowimg themselves up... Most veterans these days are from Vietnam and Iraq, two lesser nations with not even a third of the population that America has. War is profit, the congress exploits and the real enemy is the one to delcare these people veterans in the first place. We should honor these people, but we should also make sure that this will never happen again, -that- is what we never should forget...
  6. Well, it does seem reasonable, but forum rules and poitics are different. Like here it makes sense to ban bad langague to make people feel welcome. But if a government where to disallow people to use certain words in the real world, then we got a very fanatical government. So it would take a few tweaks. I also don\'t like it how the leaders are more dangerous than the people, since in a proper community, the leaders are meant to represent the people, but since they make the rules without any types of votes, wich is totally okay for a website or forum, but not for a real city, the people now represent it\'s leaders. Like they do in ainchent Egypt or any other fanatical culture based upon slavery or dictatorship. I like the idea, but forum leading it\'s enviroment to make everyone feel welcome is different from leading real human beings. So if this forum was a city, it could use some changes. Just to make one thing clear: I think the moderators and admins here are doing a great job to keep the order here, and since they adapt things to a forum, they do it differently from an actuall place where people live.
  7. I totally agree with Vagrant0. All types of hypnosis throughout the ages have failed, so have sublimital messeges and mental controll... ESP and hypnosis is a myth, proven to be so, otherwise Castro would be dead by now. My dad worked as an intelligence spy during the late cold war, not all of them are icecold killers working for the government, most of them sit in a cheap car all night with a thermos and a binoculars. There is such a thing as brainwashing, but it can only controll emotions and opinions through manipulation, but not direct actions. You can make someone hate something or love something, consider right as wrong and wrong as right, but you can never directly controll someone. So to answer your question: If you ever find a victim of \\\"mind controll\\\", let the rest of the world know, it may even make you win a Nobel price.
  8. Could be your BIOS, not too good at system preformance and whatnot, but since you got a powerfull computer and it seems good enough for playing the game, it could be the BIOS, I myself have an awesome computer, one of those really expensive ones with a great system and whatnot, but the BIOS tends to screw up games for me, best is to talk to your computer support, they can give you a better diagnosis on what it might be. Oh, and the next time it freezes up, use CTRL+Alt-Delete and open up the task manager and click the processes tab, from there you can terminate oblivion.exe, CTRL+Alt+Delete tends to bypass programs, so it might work.
  9. Actually not ever1 that is \\\"skilled\\\" at FPS is an @#$@$$!$ it depends on a lot of things. I am very skilled at FPS and I am a nice person. Playing FPS and becoming skilled and/or adept at them is very challenging. Besides that playing Fallout 3 or Oblivion you need to know certain keys and key combinations correct? The better you are at those things or what spells or grenades to use/throw when is a skill. So therefore is someone who is skilled at those games the same? It really comes down to how you want to spend your free time. After all it is your time is it not? As far as violence goes, FO3 and Oblivion have loads of violence and pickpocketing, stealing, blowing things up etc... Really has nothing to do with self approval in most cases but rather having fun spending your free time with friends doing something you like. I also see th other side and agree there are some people that go overboard with their attitude but that is in all genre\\\'s of games not just FPS. Actually... FPS basicly narrows down to reflexes, basic dexterity and perception, thus meaning that anyone with a high IQ is \\\"skilled\\\" at first person shooters, it\\\'s ironic how intellectual people tends to resort away from them. Even though intellect and pretentiousness isn\\\'t that far away from eachother. Point is: First person shooters takes no skill, just repedativeness and IQ. Even though like I said: people with too high IQ tends to find them unstimulating. Playing games where you shoot the crap out of people in a big and gruesome exchange of simulated amunition is fun, but don\\\'t confuse it with skills just because you\\\'re addicted to it, and trust me: all addictions are substances for a personality disorder, and in this case it\'s lack of self-approval since it feels good to win, and you win every time you kill someone in an online first person shooter.
  10. I just need a nice template for a summoning spell. It shall summon one creature/npc and then once it dies, it will fade away. Just like the official summoning spells, simple eh? I don\'t need any URLs to scripting tutorials or anything like that, just a neat template. It would help alot.
  11. Counter-Strike is basicly the last resort of an idiot, they constantly brainwash themselves into becomming \"skilled\" at it, but even though all they becomme good at is caffine-fueled nerdrage, first person shooters are REALLY entertaining, but someone calling themselves skilled at it only shows that they suck so much on real things, that they need to be the leaders of graphical violence to settle their pathetic need of self-approval. So when someone is mean to you on an FPS-site: ignore it, they sure are worse off than you are >_<. \"omg hax u fail!\" is the battlecry of the chronic masturbator...
  12. Hey, I decided to share this with you. It\\\'s a pretty awesome discovery in case there\\\'s still any AOP fans out there. There -is- a really easy way to mod Age of Pirates: Carribean Tales. Since the programming is based upon only LUA rather than C++, any idiot can do it. But first I will give you some basic info about the game in case you think this is interesting but haven\\\'t played the game: Genre: RPG Released by: Atari Multiplayer: Yes, but not MMO. Description: Age of pirates is a pirate RPG featuring alot of fun quests, a rich storyline, realistic settings and geography and fast-paced swashbucking and seafights. It\\\'s open-ended and features alot of other features such as missions and even the ability to capture cities and ports to run them as your own. There, in case you wheren\\\'t familiar by it, now you are. The game has good graphics, but not too good (IE: Requires a good system to use it.). But thing is that this game can be modded. Nobody else seems to be aware of this, I\\\'ve looked everywhere. So I am posting this in case there\\\'s a AOP fan out there or someone who just finds it interesting to check it out. You basicly just open up the game files and look into the program folder. There you will find tons of files, all of these may seem impossible to open, but they can all be opened by the notepad. These are the files that\\\'s most essencial to mod: -------------------------------------- Program/characters/characters_init.c Here you will find tons of lines to modify about the main character. You can edit the model, the basic skills, starting items, starting ships. Anything related to the characters. -------------------------------------- Program/cannons/cannons_init.c This is for modding the cannons that can be purchased for one\\\'s ship. Just like in character_init, the lines are pretty self-explanatory. -------------------------------------- Program/ships/ships_init.c This file is for editing the ships, like amounts of cannons, speed, turning speed, things like that. -------------------------------------- Program/items/Items_init.c Here you can edit all of the items ingame, edit weapon\\\'s damage, zoom level on the spyglasses, selling/buying price on them, things like that. NOTE: On the pistols, there is a line called \\\"Qcharge\\\", this defines the amount of shots a pistol has per battle. -------------------------------------- MODELS: To find models, wich can be changed. Look in \\\"Reasource/ships, characters, items\\\", or whatever you need. Then enter the file\\\'s name without the extension to where you need to change the model. Like to change the main character\\\'s model, look for where it says \\\"devilo\\\" or something like that, and replace it with something like \\\"head_pir\\\" or some other model name. This is basicly it, I know that it\\\'s problably not very interesting to people, so I whent through the basics, anyone who knows the basics of LUA can mod without any problems. I hope someone may find it usefull. So that\\\'s it, maybe it will catch on to someone. It\\\'s a great RPG, even though it\\\'s not the newest of games. Enjoy!
  13. It's nice to see that all the people replying here has common knowledge about this, even though this thread was mainly directed to those who dosn't >_<. And I know the url to the website is misleading, but that's the point. Since these people are dumb as fish, and the misleading URL is my bobber. By all means, I am trying to prove that 2012 is a lie, and some of these replies seems to be kinda "I didn't really read your post, but I take for granted that you agree with that it will happen"-ish.
  14. Pfft, just get everything from Steam, since they always have the newest in stock, the game will drop it's price in the matter of weeks. So stop complaining, it's global marketing, dog eat dog, capitalism is a ruthless game where the only winner is the greedy and bloodsucking businessmen who gave up their soul for an office with a nice view...
  15. Hehehehehe... Pacific suckers...
  16. I won't get into a discussion or anything, but I shall make this simple: The reason why there are more "proof" of doomsday is because you don't earn alot of money saying "The end is not near!", since nobody would really pay just to hear the obvious, and without money, there is little marketing for it. So it's alot easier to find the advertised "proof" than the real proof, because nobody would pay to hear on how to survive the not-so-very-end. Simple, eh?
  17. You got OBSE, right? 'cause otherwise you're toast >_<. Otherwise get it at www.silverlock.org... Or .net... Or... You know what? Just google "OBSE", gets you to the right place instantly, silverlock-something, anyways, it's pretty self-explanatory, it works like an alternative launcher that permitts more advanced mods.
  18. Nahh, the server is just temporary down. It's annoying when it happens, but since it keeps me faceless in a juridical manner, I guess it's worth it.
  19. Hey, I have seen all the 2012 theories, and it's getting dull. I mean, there is no end of the world at 2012, I know it has alot of supporters, and it will feel great to renentlessly mock them at the year of 2013. But point is that I don't wanna face more people trying to scare me with "Oooooooh... The world will end sooooOooooon..." so I kinda made this website dedicated to the fact that 2012 is a big hoax and a marketing scheme. I am not advertising about it or anything, it's 100% non-profit and you can't sign up or anything. But just like I've seen so many people link media about how 2012 is real and will happen, I wanna link this compile I made of how it won't happen, so enjoy: http://2012-countdown.webs.com/ I had to use .webs as a host since I bash alot of the big 2012-merchandise companies, and I could get a lawsuit if they could track me down. This isn't meant to be a debate (IE: You can still discuss with eachother, but I am not really likely to participate.) or anything, I just hope to relive some people's fears about 2012, because the world won't end anytime soon >_<. To the moderators: I am still very new to this forum, so if this is against the rules or anything, than just remove it and please forgive me.
  20. I'd join the reserves, I mean, then I won't have to do anything besides getting drunk and shoot lamp posts at 04:00 AM. That's what any self-respecting human being would do >_<. Why? Because if everyone joined the reserves, there would be no fighting. I mean, sure, on occassion you might drive by a flaming house with the tail of a helicopter sticking out of it, but that's a prize we gotta pay for freedom and the great alcohol industry combined.
  21. You can always go into TES contruction set and open the mods, and find the new item ids, then add them via the console. Takes only a few minutes if you know what to do. Or just bite the bullet and face how all this free ingame content has it's prize when it comes to minor bugs. I mean, we are pretty lucky that Bethesta provides us with the full ability to costumize Oblivion and make new games using their tools.
  22. Temporary deactivate the mods while you're doing the quests could problably work. Esp-related insommnia, that's a new one >_<.
  23. Might wanna keep in mind that the place has alot of cars, and when I was there there was alot of shooting too. So might be wise to be carefull since things are most likley to explode all over the place. And dogmeat is around the north exit I think. To the left. Atleast when I found him.
  24. I\'m here to help out with the mod, buddy. Kinda sucks that... You know... >_<...
