are there any mods that'd let me romance veronica. not sex, just romance
-
I'm going to be playing an Orc, and I don't really care yet about the class or anything like that. What mods do you know that specifically make it fun to play as an Orc?
-
No, the red and green bars on the Mod Organizer. And yes I have the mods installed. I'm not new to modding, I've used the NMM for years now. I'm new to the Mod Organizer
-
Ok, so, I'm new to Mod Organizer, but it shouldn't be this hard to start it out. the only installed Mods I have in my Plugin list is iHud and the Unofficial Patches. But when I try to continue an old saved file (I was playing Vanilla for a while), I get a notice saying iHud is initiated, but no changes actually get made. Also, what are these red and green bars I see popping up now and then?

Well, the thing is, the Fog Shout is intended to keep everyone out. If an NPC were to walk past the Greybeards they'd end up dying in the Fog Cloud up there
-
Well, I'm still finishing up Dragonborn, so I guess I'm looking forward to that
-
I COMPLETELY agree with you on this entire thing. I feel like the Thieve's Guild has some of the most relatable and human NPCs among the cast, and they're all so under-utilised. And no, there's nothing about uncovering Sapphire's True name. Heck, both Sapphire and Rune have this big gaping mystery about who they are, and it could easily result in a cool quest about the two of them.

I feel that the spell might be a bit OP, but Alduin was a master Shouter, so it could be nerfed a little for the Dragonborn. Could make it a Once a Day power and have each stage create an ever expanding cloud of fog. First word makes a 5ft fog. second word makes a 15ft cloud. and 3rd word makes a 45ft cloud. The time limit on the spell never increases either. But all enemies, including Dragons, that are in the Cloud, take damage. And the effect will make all, including the player (unless they have Nightvision or something), will be blinded by the Fog

dunno. I've never made a mod before
-
um, am I the only one who feels that the Thieves Guild was ended a bit too early? Sure we defeat the bad guy, and we become the head of the Thieve's guild, and sure there's those secret treasures we're supposed to find all over skyrim, but i mean, the treasure vault is completely empty. We're still down on our luck with the Guild Master effectively working overtime everyday to keep the guild afloat. Also, aside from the mission where you break into the mansion to steal the skeleton key, there's not much befitting a true master thief. or even any way to rejuvenate the guild to it's true glory

bump because this sounds like fun

I completely agree. I think maybe offering a Brown and Black option might also be nice.

thanks for the link

I feel like the "must be inclusive" clause when it comes to mods is really restricting when it comes to skyrim. It's this MBI rule that actually ruins immersion. Like, say I'm playing an Argonian. I shouldn't have to go through the trials of joining the Brotherhood, since I could have been raised since birth to become an Assassin. Does that really make any sense that my character would have no recollection of what the Brotherhood is? Some stories really can only be told from the perspective of a particular race or gender. Look at that Orc woman you meet in Markarth, who left her stronghold because she didn't want to be the third wife to a warchief. There's character motivation that could never exist if that character was being written as a Breton or a Khajiit. But even then, yes you're right. Malacath himself doesn't care if his followers are Orcs, they're just his children and the most likely to worship him. The Orcs have their own culture, but it's never implied that Malacath and the Orcs agree on everything. The Orcs don't use magic, but like you said, Malacath didn't care that you were a Breton Mage, just that you had conviction to do what was needed while a true Orc was nothing but a cowardly backstabber. But how about this for a mod, you the player find an Orc stronghold, taken over by Foresworn rebels. They've slaughtered most of the Orcs, except for one, who sits drunkenly in a nearby village, feeling weak for loosing his home. When he sees the courage in your words, he agrees to fight at your back and help you take back the Stronghold, telling you about a secret back entrance to a mine that he knows of that you can take to kill them off. Once the foresworn are dead, you have a partially broken down Orcish Stronghold that you can rebuild and repopulate. You can bring your husband/wife from earlier, or even marry the Orc who you met at the Tavern if you want. You can then find others around Tamriel who would be honoured to join your Stronghold and fight for you. And as you rebuild the Stronghold, you can choose how you want to build it. Maybe you're a High Elf and you want to add Elvish designs to the houses and colours. Or maybe you're a Khajiit and you'd like to get nice soft sand to replace the hard dirt to make you feel at home. Or maybe you're an Imperial, and you want to establish a trade route to Solitude to sell Oricalcum to the Empire, mined through the large mine you used to slaughter the Foresworn earlier.

um, Trolls are savage gorilla like animals in the Elder Scrolls. They're not exactly going to be "teaming up" with a group of Orcs. Not to mention Giants are more solitary, tending to themselves. Maybe you could have a group of Orc-Bandits who trick you into heading into a gladiator pit where they set loose some caged Trolls onto you.

Has anyone ever made a Mod about trying to uncover Rune's Past? You know, the guy from the thieve's guild?

Armour mods for unarmed character?

I think he means like a Martial Artist -
I see a lot of Nightingale redsigns but none of them seem to draw my attention. I like the black color, but the design of the outfit feels too much like a female batman. And my character's no Casandra Cain. I like the phantom-like eyes and the cloak and i like the way the torso folds down over whatever gloves I'm wearing (makes those foresworn old-gods gloves I'm wearing look nicer. But all those lines and that skin-tight form. all those layers that seem to have no thickness. It just feels too constricting and too much like bondage gear or batman.

Can we copy an open-source chess game into Skyrim?

are there even any minigames in skyrim? I feel like adding some minigames would be great for skyrim. all you ever do is wander and kill stuff. but sometimes I'd like to just chill in a city for a few days. Maybe goof off. So often I feel like all my character does is work. There's no way to goof around. -
2 years of animation at college. Why do you think I schmooze you that much. :D Seriously, one year ago I have promised the Vilja team to help them add custom animations to their great mod. But I cannot help adding if we don't find anyone to make them. I'm a tool guy, without artistic senses. thanks for Schmoozing me (i guess?) :D And I'd love to help out and provide an artistic sense

thanks a lot. if I have any additional questions, do you mind if I PM you?
-
Hmm, so I guess I'm going to need to learn how to code in Papyrus myself in order to make this happen
-
what happens to Hulda if I do this. And going into the code to force change feels cheap, since no actual progress took place, i just re-wrote reality.
-
So, I need to murder Hulda in order for any change to take place in this city?
