why are the three shouts separate? these basically sound like how the force Shout starts with one word, but then you learn the second word from the elders, and then a third later one. These two extra words build off of the first, increasing its power

That'd be cool, I've never made a mod before though, but i'd love to work on this project with some other people

I did apologize, i even was very hesitant about posting that comment, but in the end, a part of me won out. I know it can be more work, i just don't see value in talking like that. Stick to the golden line of a Producer "I'll look into that". You can even add something like, "I'm looking for something a bit different". making comments like its too much work just feels like complaints and excuses, even if they have 100% of the weight backing it. Not discrediting the work, just the way you explain the work

perhaps make it deactivate the shouts also, like, the Non-Dragonborn play-through. Like, use the Alternate Start mod to let you begin elsewhere, and have this mod basically have the Dragonborn already show up, killed a bunch of Dragons and killed Alduin. There are still Dragons about (are there? I never finished the quest), so you can still fight dragons, but your status is never changed to Dragonborn, and all the Dragonborn quests are automatically finished. You might need to fix some things like how Lidia becomes your housecarl even though you didn't do the quests.

yeah, perhaps there could be different teachers for different fields of study. but there'd also have to applications for each of these things invented. otherwise it is just piling up as decorative items.

Shadow, yes, i want an actual compass that i hold in my hand, that works like an actual compass. and what the compass shows can easily edited. If you just put a needle, then it would only show which way was north, but if you were to put a disk in the ball, and mark the sides with the directions, and put a magnetic needle in the middle, it would easily show all the directions.

It would be incredibly difficult and require a lot of model and texture variants. I was thinking more like with alchemy - you try different components at like a workbench sort of thing (perhaps a remodeled alchemy tabel as a workbench with custom sounds?) and can get different results. I.e fire salts + solid Dwemer metal = Dwemer grenade (not very lore friendly but you get the idea in general). that makes easier sense than a complete modular design, but like it says, it isn't modular. but no matter, what if we did a sort of Civ 5, technology tree, where you have to discover how to invent something, before you can make it (like with enchantments, the thing you study is destroyed because you took it apart), but like, if i craft a bow, i then learn how to craft something like a composite bow, and maybe some things actually need to be discovered and invented first, before anything else can. Like how, a steam-powered engine first needs a steam pot pushing steam into a pin-wheel, making it spin. but this feels like it would now work as an overhaul of the crafting stuff in all.

yeah, i just said, that's not a compass. That's a homing beacon fitted into Jack Sparrow's magic compass.

Well that's a lovely, little necklace you got from yer mum, little missy, it'd be a shame if sumthin wer ta ha'en to it -
hmm, i guess you could get away with first just making some base-models, like Boxes, Spheres, and prisms. And then add some kind of additional thing to put stuff like the dwarven face thing on a sphere or something.

It is already, but that isnt immersive at all

that is not a compass, that is a homing signal. and while it works sort of, my idea is for something that is just a compass. That way i don't need to open my compass to get to it. I can simply make a hotkey and have my guy pull out a compass

I always end up drawing in technical format when i design stuff because it is easier for my mind to grasp how big it is. I have a huge problem with visualizing and judging distances
-
is that even possible? allowing for in-game model-editing?

I actually agree with you Dohk, a powerful force like the Thalmor don't care if talos is worshiped. The reason they made them outlaw the worship was to enforce their power. To strut around and say, "yeah, we own your asses, try and stand up to us". They probably have been secretly providing support to both the imperials and the stormcloaks, as equal-sided armies are more likely to keep fighting than one army that is clearly more likely to win. This is why Civil Wars are often so long and so bloody. and the Thalmor love it. Because it means by the end of the war, victory will be decided by who gets the most backing by them, and who will be easier to control for the Thalmor.

um, yeah, self-explanatory. i really don't know why this wasn't done with everyone's obsession with immersion. compasses have been used since long ago. Imagine a glass ball, filled with water, and a small, magnetic filing placed in it. You could hold the ball and when in first person mode, would be held close to you so that you could see where you were going. you would need a piece of glass, some water, and a Corrodium Ingot (that stuff looks magnetic).
