Okay, awesome, but did you want any help on creating quests for the mod?
-
Wasn't all his dialog suppost to answer questions that bethesda had piling up in their forums , like will there be crossbows in oblivion ect?
-
I'm not to sure , i'd have to have a look at the AI, yes it doe's sound interesting , however i'm curious as to how should the player get the quest?... should the quest simply appear in the quest log when the mod is loaded?, is there an npc who will talk of the castle owner?, also what features shall become avaliable to the player on defeat of the owner?.... motivation and reason make a quest alot more fun.

Hey, I think it's great that your mod is coming along nicely, personally when I search for mods I usaully search for mod's with completable quests (its just the most appealing thing for me in oblivion), however like 3rdtryguy said some description on the purpose of the mod would be nice. I have managed to create a few quest's in some basic test mods for morrowind and a personal morrowind project. Quest's arn't too difficult it's all just making sure everything references the correct conditions and stuff. If you give me a pm , or message me on poqewdsdsa34sd2xaasl@hotmaill.com we could talk about quests and your mod. Since i'm bored and part of no team at the moment I'll more than likely help depending on what needs to be done.

I believe the site itself is fine, however I have a theory: I think the reason some people start downloading mod's is because it's free content, sometimes less quality than official expansions, but freebie's are always nice... fileplanet requires paid membership, thats why I can't go there lol. No...You don't need to pay anything, you just need to do free registration Really?, for like 8 years i've always thought you gotta pay like 5$ for a registration, this opens up doors for me , perhaps I should always double check my information before making a fool of myself on a forum lol, thanks anyway though.

Killing quest characters
wastingtimeallday replied to ImNotCrazy44's topic in Morrowind's Discussion
I found on http://www.uesp.net/wiki/Morrowind:Essential_NPCs a statement on essential npc deaths '*Killing any of these NPCs will make Caius Cosades unwilling to talk to you, even after their part in the Main Quest is over. They must stay alive until Caius gives his final quest, Mehra Milo and the Lost Prophecies. In case you accidentally kill one of these before that, the only way around Caius's auto-goodbye is to have a bounty of 1000 or more. PC players can add and remove bounty easily with a console command.' I don't know if this will allow you to finish the main quest line , but atleast caius will talk to you again. Also on that same page it states player's can resort to waiting during the third and fourth trials or killing vivec. I'm not sure on the accuracy of this information but personally I wouldn't go round killing main quest npc's. One other thing someone may be able to confirm , a long while ago i remember reading something about it dosn't matter which main npc you kill besides one guy who can let you finish the main quest. I'm not sure where I read that, if it's true or if it refered to all main quest npc's. -
Oblivion/Morrowind worldsize comparison
wastingtimeallday replied to chaosapiant's topic in Morrowind's Discussion
Most has already been said , however I think the pointer has somthing to do with it, in oblivion you fast travel to somewhere close to the arrow on the map then just follow your compass to the location and you know your at the right place, in morrowind you have to explore, sometimes going in the wrong direction for ages then finally finding your destination. also off topic is the rumour that daggerfall is 62,000+ miles square true?... I don't know I havn't played daggerfall yet, but if anyone can confirm that it would be cool. -
I thought maybe just going into tes cs going to race then unticking beast race on kahjit and argonian might actually work... i tried it but the game crashed on me and i couldnt get the duties topic from the guy you hand you release papers too.... so i think it just mess's up the main quest and crash's your computer lol. Sorry i couldnt be much help i'm still fairly new to modding morrowind.

boots of blinding speed (not so blinding)
wastingtimeallday replied to kylebraden's topic in Morrowind's Discussion
Lol, do you think the designers had that in mind when they created the boots?, or do you think it's just a awesome glitch? -

Hmm, I havn't found such a mod so far , I suggest poking around the oblivion data for a bit maybe, perhaps you could write a script with elements based on the way oblivion main characters fall to the ground unconcious and are unkillable, perhaps maybe... On the 'citizen arrest' subject maybe the 'use button' the unconcious body and the option 'tie up and leave for guards', then perhaps whenever your in a city or fort you could talk to a guard(or ordinator whatever...) and report where you left the outlaw and maybe you get a small reward 25septims or something. Those are just idea's off the top of my head, if i see anything that could help ill come back and post here for ya.

hey, it's only a minor problem , but on an island im creating i placed ex_haalu_b_01 and in the archway to enter the first set of stairs from the exterior my player cant seem to enter from either direction, attempting to go downward through it the player appears to be standing on a small clip (invisiable wall) as if he cannot proceed to the next step below to fit through the archway. There is no other objects placed near/in the archway or stairs. If anyone has the time or is bored enough to advise me on things been blocked with the tes cs help would be appreciated as i'm sure the answer will help me for any future issue's of this type.

how many people are still playing morrowind?
wastingtimeallday replied to JazzBlack's topic in Morrowind's Discussion
Hey , i used to just play half life for years , made a 15+ levels for that , then found oblivion ... liked it at the time completed every quest i could find (loved the guilds), then went to FO3 but lost my savegame and my motivation, now im playing morrowind getting towards the end of the theives guild. I've also started having modding attempts with morrowind, i made a few test files in balmora then got the hang of making quests, yesterday i started creating an island south off of the coast of the main island. I'm quite satisfied with it so far and am aiming to have all the interiors and a few touchups on the exterior complete by tomorrow, then i'll add the npc's and quests i've been scribbling ideas about. I'm just glad there is modding tutorials and a lively community around.
