  1. I'm afraid I ran into a game breaking bug. I sided with the Dawnguard and now I'm at the point where I have to slay Lord Harkon. Whenever Harkon is injured he simply disappears. He does not appear above the altar. Eventually he resurfaces with full health, but once I harm him he disappears again. Using the console I disabled collision in order to track him down after he disappears. I found him standing on a platform, outside the map, casting drain life on a mannequin. I tried to kill him on this platform, but when his health is completely depleted a duplicate of his appears back at the cathedral. Of course if I attempt to kill this duplicate he disappears. Did anyone else ran into this problem? Is there a solution?
  2. Hello! I have a problem with Lakeview and Windstad manor. Some of the walls of the main hall and wings are invisible and the doors do not work properly, they all lead to Skyrim. Please take a look at the attached screen to see what I mean. I did not have this issue with Heljarchen Hall. I assume one of the mods I am using is causing this problem, but I have no idea which one. Could you please help me identify the source of this issue? Thank you in advance! Here's a list of my mods:
  3. I cannot play Dawnguard because it causes constant CTDs around Riften. The CTDs occur always at the same locations, for example walking down the road towards the bridge leading up to Goldenglow estate or heading towards Merryfair Farm from the main gate. I tried everything. I uninstalled and then reinstalled the game, disabled all the mods, verified game cash, deleted the .ini files in the save folder, nothing helped. At one point I disabled Dawnguard, walked up to Goldenglow estate and saved the game. I re-enabled Dawnguard and tried to load the save but the game immediately crashed, I could only load that save again by disabling Dawnguard. Anyone else has this problem? Is there a solution? I really want to play Dawnguard but it makes moving around Riften impossible.
  4. I stole Haelga's Dibella statue, I sold it to a fence then bought it right back thinking it will be clean but it's still marked as stolen. Anyway, as I said I was trying to place it on the end table with no success. I got fed up with it, went back to Riften and grabbed the smaller Dibella statute from Mercer's manor and low and behold that one stayed on the end table. Encouraged by this, I placed Haelga's statue on the other end table but it was still reluctant to stay on its place. I think I'm just going to play it nice and bring it back to Haelga's bunkhouse where it belongs, it gave me too much trouble and now I have the other one.
  5. I tried to place it on the right end table next to the bed in Breezehome. There's only a plate with candles on it but it's part of the model I think.
  6. Ok I tried every tricks listed here to no avail. It just doesn't stay there.
  7. I collected many artifacts and trinkets which I'd like to display on shelves in Breezehome, however, I have lots of trouble with this. Currently I'm trying to place a statue of Dibella on the left endtable next to my bed. I carefully arranged the statue, saved the game, slept in my bed and saved again but whenever I reload the game or return from a journey the statue lies on the ground. This is very annoying. I had this issue with the Right Eye of the Falmer but eventually it stayed on it's place for some unknown reason. Is there a way to lock items to their place so they don't fall off or mysteriously teleport to a different location? A console command or a mod maybe?
  8. But how do you look around and direct your attacks? If you move the mouse your horse turns so you could only attack forward and cut your horse's head right off.
  9. Signed. At this point I would be happy with just a simple, working first person view on horses mod, but of course mounted combat would be nice.
  10. Great, make sure the horse you can buy at the Whiterun stables will be a mare, the guy who sold her said her name is Queen Alfsgir after all.
  11. The current weather system is a bit weird and sometimes doesn't make sense. For example it never snows in Whiterun, at least for me. It seems certain weather types are bound to locations, sure it makes sense that it snows a lot on high mountains but I'm talking about other weather types such as rain. For example if you take the road to Riften from Whiterun it almost always starts to rain after you pass the Valtheim Towers but if you continue traveling down the road it suddenly stops. A mod which improves the current system and makes the weather completely dynamic and global would be really nice.
  12. Skyrim horses are stocky because they need to climb mountains. Instead of changing all the horses altogether how about different stables selling different horses with different attributes? Let's say you can get the default draft horse in Whiterun it is good at climbing mountains but it's slow, in Solitude you can buy thoroughbreds which aren't really good at climbing but they are faster than other horses. The cost of different horses could differ as well. At least this way there would be a reason to own more than one horse.
  13. This is an issue with followers as well. After you dismiss them they revert to their default gear. If you use console commands or a mod which allows you to remove said gear they just run around in their underwear even if other clothes/armor are available in their inventory. They are only wearing the armor/clothes you gave them if you recruit them. Really annoying.
  14. I would like to see a mod overhauling horse riding.
  15. Now that the CK is out can someone look into this or at least give me pointers where to begin? Which files do I need to edit to change the random dragons encounters frequency, make civilians cowardly and change dragon attributes?
  16. I don't think it's a good idea for modders to release texture mods as .esp/.bsa files because then it wouldn't be possible to mix texture mods. For example I like the landscape textures from 'Mod A' but not the river textures, I want to use the river textures from 'Mod B'. It is possible to do this now because I just pick the textures I like and dump them into the data folder, however, if both 'Mod A' and 'Mod B' are in .esp/.bsa format it wouldn't be possible because one overwrites the other.
  17. I almost forgot, a mod which would stop simple townsfolk attacking dragons would also be nice. Old ladies, children and farmers with puny iron daggers attacking them just doesn't make any sense, they should run for the hills or take cover in their homes.
  18. I'm sure I'm not the only one who finds dragons more and more annoying as I progress in the game. Currently I have two major issues with dragons: 1. They aren't powerful enough. 2. There are way too many random dragon encounters. The first issue was already addressed by mods, although they make dragon fights more rewarding the second issue cripples the experience. Sometimes two dragons attack me at once in which case I have no chance against them if I'm using a mod which makes them more powerful. I don't like running away because leaving them unattended means they will wipe out entire settlements, something I really hate. The fact they are just as common as any other creature kinda ruins the myths surrounding them. The random encounters are so predictable, I'm always attacked by dragons whenever I leave a city or go nearby an open settlement. There is no tension, anticipation or lingering fear because I know for sure I will get attacked as soon as I leave the city walls or reach a town. Collecting dragon bones/scales and souls is easy as well, I already have everything I need for the dragonplate armor and plenty of souls to spare. I'd like to request a mod which makes dragons more powerful and decreases the chance of random encounters as well.
  19. Is it possible to create a mod, without CK, which allows the player to access all items of a follower's inventory, enabling him/her to change their default outfit? I understand they are willing to switch if I give them items they deem "better" than their original gear but sometimes a weaker but enchanted armor would suit some situations better than a massive steel armor yet they refuse to wear it.
  20. I would also like a 2D map with visible roads. To be honest the current simplistic, black interface and menus fit more of an FPS rather than a fantasy game. I liked Oblivion's parchment style interface better.
  21. These are great ideas. A saddle bag would be nice as well so one could carry more loot.
