Personally I think the Middle Management should go, or at least be trained. Psychologically in every *NPC* social aspect it IS kinda 1 dimensional or barely scraping the surface. Take Being Married for e.g. You build up relations with potential people, then you do a Quest to be able to get the amulet (ok you can find it) Then you wear it - its a bit slim on courtship, but on the whole not too bad so far. Then you finally get married, she either follows you in combat with no further relationship dialogue or she opens up a shop and you are a mere customer with a *my love* added in..... Please arent some of the guys at Bethusda from Black Isle? Remember Baldurs gate 2 Romances? Come on were talking 10 years ago and the nerds who give us great graphic games still have no girlfriends to relate to social NPC interactions? Im not talking adult material - thats for modding I know. But seriously. This can be also related to other social npc reactions such as reactions to you defeating Alduin or .. tbh Ive lost the will in the debate. Graphic have come on fantastic since Frogger and Asteroids but please employ some women or guys with social skills to do the npc interactions !. ok that my one complaint :)

I tried that the first time it happened to me but it didnt work for me. The Alt-Tab double tap. Works in other games jut not this one. Would be interesting to know what setup you have? OS FX etc.

1. Yes 2. Yes, would recommend lots in Archery. Once you get to the x15 backstab in one handed you can stop. 3. Sneak yea, Archery yea. one handed - doesnt need maximized, Lockpicking - absolutely not. Not one perk. Just get used to doing locks. Expect to lose a lot of lockpicks but you can get them anywhere. Eventually (I played Fallout so im very good at the locks) you will be suprised at how easy locks are. Dont waste your perks in that. On my first *Master* Lock I used about 50 picks, now at 100 skill points but no perks I use about 5. 4. Thieves dont put attributes in anything - THEY TAKE THEM !! Ok just to sum-up and probably annoy some of the previous posters - You dont need points in Pickpocket, Locksmithing, Illusion or Alchemy. Maybe thats not how it should be but you really dont. Locksmithing Ive already explained. Pickpocketing well its not that usefull and its easily trained to 100 and you can use enchanted jewelry and gear when the need arises also potions (you will pick them up not make). Illusion - the main thing you want from that is Invisibilty - you wont need it if your stealth is high and the few times you do need it you will have picked up plenty of potions of invis. Also the Stone (probably a spoiler so I wont say). Alchemy.....You steal and pick up so many potions....you will not need to perk this up. My Views are - Sneak, Light Armour, One Hand (to the x15 bonus), Archery ( a must), Enchanting (You want you gear with 2 Enchants Baby) and Finally Smithing - cos anything less than Overkill Legendary gear is George Doubleyah.

Most Combat in Fallout 3 and NV is Ranged so doesnt have to deal much with closeness. I dont have any issue with the finishing moves in Skyrim. But I grew up in the Spectrum and Commodore Era so I appreciate the advancements. Also as an Assasin Character at the moment I get a lot of very satisfying finishing moves. Mainly Dagger or Sword. In fact my only complaint is that unlike Fallout I dont see any Ranged finishing moves.

There is a mod that lets you make Nightingale Light Armour instead of dragonscale if you prefer the look. I could mention something else regarding muffle but would probably be a spoiler so I wont, PM me if you want to know.

Found this by pure accident whilst under the influence of Vodka - Ok so we all know Alt-Tabbing is a pain when not in windowed mode, some hardware lets you, most does not. I tried doing a normal Alt-Tab to look something up whilst in game, ending in an alt F4. Didnt try again for ages, but last night after several drunken dungeons I wanted to put some music on while I play. So I ALt-Tabbed... Long Story short, I had Firefox and WMP open as well as Skyrim, tabbed to Skyrim leaving a frame with nothing happening so I ctrl-alt-del to go into task manager but INSTEAD I hit cancel and I went straight back to the game. Tried it again and it worked. All day today I have been doing it this way and not once crashed or had to quit skyrim. So I thought I'd share it. Alt Tabbing without windowed mode. Btw Im using Vista (yea I know). Edit - Sorry didnt know if this should be in general or Technical, its kinda both.

I just found this last night as I got a quest from the Alchemist at the Hags cure in Markath to Give to an ex-steward of an ex-Jarl. I went with the Stormcloaks so its all the imperial supporters in that basement under the Blue Palace. I did get a bit upset at some of the reactions though, I was quite fond of the daughter of the Jarl of Morthal Idgrod (Idgrod the younger is quite hot with the Bella Mod), anyho now she hates me.

JAnessa The Dark Elf is very good. Im a stealth archer and she is great at backstabbing.

First inteligent comment Ive read so far. Started reading this thread and was getting annoyed at the Stormcloak bashing and hypocritical nonesence that was all about justifying reasons for a choice. And all the talk about forced unity of the continent for defence. Sounds like some people are 100 years behind modern, contemporary thought. It's all about the grey areas, no simple choice because there never is. The racism issue isnt really racism either, if the nords disliked the elves for their pointy ears or skin - that would be racism. But isnt it more about fear and distrust? The Stormcloaks fight for their right to rule themselves without outside or foreign input. Its their right to be either a crap government or a good one or an inbetween one, its not the right of foreigners to decide. There are so many real world paralells its unbelievable.
