  1. I would like the knife from the shirt outfit to be visible on the Kaer Morhen Armor. I don't want to use AMM, fortunately there are two mods that allow this, however they each have their own problems I would like some help in solving. This mod - https://www.nexusmods.com/witcher3/mods/3356?tab=posts is perfect, however the author has chosen to also use it to remove the sword harness that visually fastens the swords to geralt's back. When asked by someone if he could provide an alternate version without these changes, he basically said "Learn how to do it yourself." Which is fair enough I guess. This mod - https://www.nexusmods.com/witcher3/mods/4269 adds the knife as an equipable pocket item but uses the updated black textures used on AMM retexture mods, it doesn't fit with the Kaer Morhen armor, ideally I'd like the original textures. Which is easier? Add back the harness in mod No.1 or reverting to the original textures in mod No.2? i've never edited a mod before so any help would be greatly appreciated, with a little guidance im happy to do all the legwork and then send the files to anyone who would like to use the mod when I'm done!
  2. Spoilers for the Main story line up ahead for all those who haven't finished the game yet! What if after the completion of the main quest, if you have taken Synth-Shaun in as your own and providing his story isn't continued canonically by future DLC, you are able to begin a quest that has you head either into The Institute/Institute ruins (obviously depending on choices) and uploading Shaun's software into an adult Synth body. The model could be made to still look somewhat young, like maybe 18-20 years old, to keep the child-parent dynamic between the him and the player. Someone interested in making a follower mod to rival Inigo for Skyrim or Willow for new Vegas could voice the adult Shaun and i'm sure there's enough lines of dialogue for the player to piece together decent father-son conversations. Could even make him non-essential and see how travelling the wasteland with a son you must protect affects people's play styles. I know I'd enjoy it, i think its a great jumping off point to have you make an emotional bond with a character like I know a lot of people did with Inigo. That being said, optional backstory aside Inigo was a total stranger and it can be more fun for potential follower creators to start an original character. Although, an additional idea giving modders the opportunity to breathe whatever kind of life they wanted into a basically blank slate would be to have a mini quest when synth-Shaun is still a child to perhaps take him a few places and face a few moral dilemmas and your choice affect how his personality turns out once aged up. This teaching process could even continue after that, a chance for your character to "do it right" after having your son turn into the power man institute overlord previously. Or even to ensure he follows in original Shaun's foot-steps and becomes the perfect heir for when you pass over the helm of the institute. obviously all depending on your in-game choices. though i'm aware that's a lot of work for modders and voice actors alike with multiple personalities to create. Just a thought, feel free to let me know what you think.
  3. First off, I am aware that all requests here will have to wait until the release of the creation kit, just putting it out there because if history is anything to go off, no modders seem to have done this yet. I expected to see someone do it in F3 FNV and Skyrim but it never happened so i'm finally making an official request. Building on the needs/hardcore/survival mode mods which will no doubt surface as they have for all previous games, i would like to see a realistic management of stamina implemented. I don't personally find it immersive that a character can run for miles and miles for hours and hours, sleep a while and do the same again day after day, all on a scrappy wasteland diet at that. The basics of my idea are as follows: - Walk speed increased slightly. - Jogging now slowly will decrease your max stamina over time. - Sprinting will obviously use up your stamina as normal whilst simultaneously decreasing you max stamina. - Combat slowly decreases max stamina. - Sleeping and eating refresh your max stamina. - Variables such as type of bed, location of bed, and type of diet affect how much stamina is regained. - Penalties as max stamina decreases such as decrease in weapon accuracy and more general weapon sway, slower general movement speed, blurred vision etc.. - absolutely everything configurable to player preference I'm imagining a game that encourages a slower pace, taking in surroundings and managing your fatigue in a realistic way. Spent all morning sprinting away from Deathclaws? Your weapon is swaying, vision blurring, better avoid those raiders up ahead and find some shelter to rest before you collapse and get robbed. Big battle coming up? Better spend the day eating some decent food and conserving energy for a draining fight, wouldn't want to become so war-fatigued that we cant hit our mark or sprint for cover half way through the fight would we? I'm sure there are a lot of players that walk most places anyway for immersion, I'm just really surprised no-one had implemented a mod that makes that process a natural part of the game, with incentives and consequences to the system. I'm aware that it wont be fore everyone, just an Idea, feel free to let me know your opinions on ways it could be changed, bettered, scrapped.. or on how generally achievable it is. ta.
  4. My dilemma is that a while back i enjoyed using the Nordic ranger outfit, but after installing Frostfall, disliked the color of the fur vanilla gauntlets and boots i would equip for immersion in snowy areas, and so neglected using the armor all together, recently i have been on a mod downloading spree and was searching all the items in my game (using the mod item explorer) and miraculously came across black and light brown variations of the vanilla fur gauntlets and armor and thought.. huh i suppose i could re download the Nordic armor and use it at last. well here i am a few days later, encountered some bugs during that time and got rid of a load of unnecessary mods, and now the color variations are gone.. ive looked through all my recently downloaded files and for the life of me i cannot fathom which of them would be related to adding armor color variations, the only ones i deleted were camera mods etc.. so i'm utterly confused and basically back to square one. long story short, does anyone know which mod i am after? or another way to get black or at least substantially darker variations of vanilla fur armor? any help would be massively appreciated!
